Rated 4 out of 5 by from Just what we were looking to start out with I bought this for my 10 yr old grandson as a beginner microscope. He loves the preloaded slides so he was able to see something as soon as the batteries were put in the microscope. This includes a lot of things for him to see and to make and discover on his own. My only disappointment was the quality of the microscope its self. Made out of lighter weight plastic materials I am not sure how long it will stand up to all the use its going to get. But like I said, I bought this as a started set so I didn't expect it would be super high quality. I would suggest this product to any one looking for a quality starter microscope set for their preteen.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Poor quality poor quality. The screws are messed up in the bottom and cannot even open to install the battery.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from The Good things and 1 Bad thing So, let's start off with the good things. I love how you can make your own lighting, and if you don't have the supplies, it is good to have the mirror. But one bad thing is I didn't know you had to install something to the light. Hope this review helps you!
