Rated 5 out of 5 by from Cute and Quick Game! The Sneaky, Snacky Squirrel Game is so cute! The squirrel squeezers and acorns are really high quality and make the game really interesting and fun for my boys. The loved trying their hand at grabbing the acorns with the squirrel squeezers! My 3 year old has a very short attention span towards games but the game was interesting enough for him that he lasted the full round, and even won! The more complex actions kept the game interesting for me and my 5 year old so it we all had a great time playing together. *Note, I received a copy of this game for free to review on my website, A Mom's Take. Opinions are my own*

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love it! I received this set as a sample for review. We love this game! There are so few games for kids this age so I was really excited when this came to our house. First impression was how beautiful and well made the game is. The design is lovely, the cardboard pieces are thick and study, the squirrel is easy for little hands to grasp and squeeze, and the acorns have a little squish to them which my two year old loves! Though the rules are simple my toddler isn't very interested in them quite yet. She really enjoys using the squirrel to pick up the acorns and matching the acorn colors to the holes in the logs. When the newness and novelty wears off a bit we'll try taking turns and following the rules of the game. I definitely recommend this game!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from "Fun for Everyone!" Here is another game by Educational Insight that is fabulous. My preschool students look forward to when they get to be the Sneaky Snacky Squirrel and take acorns from a friends tree stump. While doing this they are learning: counting skills, matching, color recognition, symbol concepts, taking turns, and sorting. Using the Squirrel as tweezers helps to build their small motor muscles, supporting them for when they need to hold a pencil correctly. I have found for some of my students, it is a challenge to pick up the acorns with the squirrel. Through practice they are determined to master it.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Fun Game but Disappointing Quality My kids love this game and we enjoy playing it as a family however, I was really disappointed by the quality of the game. The spinner warped pretty quickly so the pointer won't spin properly. Also, the 'red' holes on the game boards are orange while the acorn is a actually red so it's confusing for my 3 yr old. Like I said, fun game, but the quality of the game pieces is disappointing.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent Customer Service My 3 year old LOVES this game , and it's so simple. My compliment goes to the company and the customer service though. My daughter lost an acorn so I called to try to find a replacement expecting to pay for the acorn and shipping. When I said I was missing a blue acorn she asked my name and address and simply said we will get it out in the mail. NO CHARGE! and no hassle. BEST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER. I will keep coming back to this company and buy their games to support this type of company. Thank you !

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Great game but.... We borrowed this game from a friend and my son enjoyed it so much, we just went out to buy our own. As soon as we got home he was excited to play. I was very disappointed when we opened it and he looked at the logs and told me the place for the red acorn is actually orange! He is correct! This can be quite confusing for children just learning their colors.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from My preschoolers favorite game! This comes packaged in a very sturdy tree shaped box that is also used as a game board. It is a favorite game amongst the preschool-aged children I care for. The 3 and 5 year old were able to teach the 2 year old fairly easily how to play the game. Taking turns is not easy, and it was definitely a skill that was learned through this game. They learned matching and counting skills by collecting the correct number or the specific color acorn to the spot on the cute little tree stump. They also develop fine motor skills by spinning the spinner and picking up the acorn with the fun "squirrel squeezer" (their favorite!). Sometimes they have to skip a turn which also helps them develop good sportsmanship. We love this game. I think It would make a good gift for either boy or girl between the ages of 3-7

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Could be made better. Game is fairly fun but the spinner is pretty much junk. Its made of cardboard with a plastic spinner arrow that barely spins because the cardboard catches it. For what I paid for the game you'd think it would be made a little better. Only kept our 5 year old grandson entertained for 2 games, barely, because he got frustrated trying to make it spin.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome game for 3 year olds! This is such a great game with cute, durable game pieces and graphics. My daughter loves playing this game and it has greatly improved her communication skills, taking turns, and ability to play with others. Even my 1 year old baby loves to play with the pieces and to touch and feel everything. He is attracted by the bright and colorful visuals and loves playing with the squirrel tweezers. I don't have to worry that the board or parts will break or fall apart because everything is constructed so well. I definitely recommend this game for the little ones.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Adorable game! This game is adorable! My daughter is almost 2 1/2 which is a little young for following the directions but I can see her quickly growing Into this game. She practiced her colors which she is still working on and loved matching the acorns color to the color on the tree trunk. She was able to use the squirrel with both hands and with one hand with help. This will be great for encouraging fine motor skills and color recognition. She begged and begged to play with this again and again which is great for her learning to take turns too as we played.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Wonderful learning game I am a Speech-Language Pathologist, and this game is one of my top picks when working with kiddos of a variety of ages! The game is colorful and engaging, and encourages language use as well as turn-taking, counting, matching, fine motor skills, and much more. My young kiddos enjoy it's simple and easy to follow rules, and my older kiddos love using the squirrel, and stealing acorns! Highly recommend

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great for Early Learners! My four year old loves this game. The product is well made and by far the sturdiest game I've ever played with. I love that we have to use the Squirrel to pick up the acorns because we have been working on my son's fine motor skills and this is a fun way to build up his hand muscles. This is going to be my go to gift for my son's younger friends. It teaches early skills such as colors, matching, build fine motor skills, taking turns, and learning how to be a good winner and a good loser. My son wanted to play again and again after the first time we played and this time we, the parents, weren't bored out of our mind. Also, it is good for young children because it doesn't take long to play and can easily keep their attention. I really enjoyed this game!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A sneaky good time Our oldest (5) loves to play board games but it has been hard to find games that engage our 3 year old. This game is perfect for our family. There isn't a character to move across a board who gets bumped and loses its place. It is a lot of fun to watch the children work with the squirrel tweezer and master it. It is fast paced with the a spinner, not cards, because the game play moves very quickly which keeps our younger competitor engaged. It's also the luck of the draw so everyone has an equal opportunity to win.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fun Times All Around! I received this game from Educational Insights in exchange for an honest review. My three year old and I really enjoyed playing this game. The pieces were well made and keeping the acorns in the bottom of the box (the tree) was an awesome idea since we seem to lose pieces frequently to other games/puzzles. My child had trouble the first time holding the squirrel and collecting the acorn but the more she used it, the better she got. This game reinforces colors, fine motor skills, and the concept of taking turns. Although my daughter couldn't quite understand why she had to put her acorns back when she landed on that corresponding space on the spinner, once we added a fun sound effect she didn't seem to mind. I really like the fact that this is a game we can come back to over and over again!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great Game for my 3 year old This game is great for my 3 year old. It was a Christmas gift. We are learning to take turns, work on fine motor skills and reinforce colors and numbers. A bit concerned the playing pieces will not be durable enough to last.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from short game for small children My granddaughters love this game. It only takes about 15 minutes to play one game, which is great for my adhd granddaughter. Acorns are easy to lose and I can't find replacements for them.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Simple and effective This is a very cute game that is simple, basic and age appropriate for 3-5 year olds. It's not glitzy and doesn't have a lot of bells and whistles but that's what makes it great. It's a wonderful first board game for your child as the tweezers will force him or her to concentrate, follow basic instructions and fine tune those motor skills. It's not overwhelming and has few parts. Perfect for our distractable toddlers. It also serves as a good counting tool. I definitely recommend it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Top quality made, fun and exciting for younger children. How wonderful to see a game that is actually so sturdy it will last for years of constant use and not break down! My 12 year old son has Down syndrome and absolutely loves this game. It took us quite a while to play, each time we did, as we all kept losing the acorns to the wind! A good game for coounting, not just your own pieces, but everyone else's to see who is winning! Good for discussions, weather-the wind blew the acorns, what else does it blow? Heavy/light things etc? Feelings, squirrel is sad because he lost his acorns, what else makes us sad,/happy/angry etc. Stealing acorns, just for fun, musn't steal in real life, etc. Lots to talk about while playing, all within the context of the game. Lots of good fun hours of quality with the kids. Though my son is a little old for this, he is really into competition and loves playing with his friends and siblings. Colors are vibrant and squirrel squeezy is good for eye-hand coordination and fine motor skills. I wouold definitely recommend this for younger children, especially since it does not need any reading skills and, once they know to play they can feel big about their own independance.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great game for young and old! The aim of the game is simple - spin the spinner and collect the coloured acorns. The first player to collect all 5 of their acorns wins! As well as having colours on the spinner there are also special squares which could mean you get to pick up more acorns or lose those you have already collected. The game is aimed at children aged 3-7 and I would agree with this age range. I would say though that younger children may struggle to pick up the acorns with the squirrel as it is quite large and the acorns are quite small and fiddly to get into the logs. 2-4 players can play at any one time. In the box you get 20 coloured acorns, 4 logs, the spinner and a squirrel which you use like tweezers to pick up the acorns. The bottom half of the box is the 'tree' where you put the acorns which I thought was a great idea as it means they are not going all over the floor/underneath furniture! I do think the price is on the high side for a board game of this simplicity, however, the pieces provided are great quality, even the box is very strong and has lovely pictures on. It is certainly much better quality than other board games on the market and this is reflected in the price. The game teaches colour matching and fine motor skills together with teaching your child about turn taking and sharing. We were sent this game free of charge for the purpose of review.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great Board Game ! My kids love this game. I have a 2 year old and 5 year old. I love how strong the material used to make this game is. Very durable. Only downside is the squirrel tool used to get the acorns are hard for both my kids to use. They just used their hands to grab the acorns. I think when they are older they can modify the game and use the squirrel to get the acorn as part of the game rules. Great game overall !

Rated 5 out of 5 by from so much fun I have so much fun playing this with my three year old I had to buy another game as a gift for his cousin! =) It is great for counting and colors and he absolutely loves when he lands on the sneaky squirrel and gets to steal my acorns. =) Unfortunately our spinner came apart and we have lost the bottom half. I would love to buy a replacement but haven't been able to find an option for that anywhere.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Such a fun game This was a huge hit with all 3 of my kids (ages 2,4, and 5). The squirrel was easy for them to hold and they were all able to pick up the acorns and place them in the appropriate spots. My kids have asked to play this game every day since we got it. They absolutely loved landing on the sneaky squirrel--it was a fun way for them to 'steal' from their mom. I would completely recommend this game.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Problems in gameThat make it hard to operate At first glance this is great! However when trying to play for the first time ::::no instructions. Okay. Had to google. Irritating but can move on. Then ...spinner is warped. Ever time it's flicked it lands on the two warped spots. Makes the game impossible to play. At all. Very disappointed momma and kids. Shameful cheap short cut using that flimsy cardboard and ruining the game.
