Rated 3 out of 5 by Liz H from Great while it lasts :-( My little boy loved this toy, but sadly the tail button has stopped working after a month and a half. The toy was ordered for him while visiting in the US (a gift from family there) and we have since returned to the UK. I have contacted Mattel services in the UK and they told me I had to contact amazon.com (where is was purchased), but as it has been a little over a month, they have directed me to Mattel services US. I can’t seem to get any help with this issue.

Rated 2 out of 5 by Smknott from Broken Day 1 My son loves this dinosaur but was extremely disappointed after 3 pushes of the back button that works the mouth quit working. Could be a fantastic product with quality control on function and durability.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Wandaby from Best Dino! This is by far the best dinosaur toy my kid has ever had, the size is perfect, the material is resistant but soft enough for a kid to play safely , the sounds and light effects makes it so "realistic" and cool, the buttons to move the arms and open the mouth are smoothly camouflaged within the skin but not hard to find. He has played every day with it since we got it. Love to see him use his imagination to create scenarios, save the world from the evil Dino or make it the good guy and elaborate this Dino-hero that uses his strength to do good. Rated 2 out of 5 by Kay92 from Son loved it until it broke I bought this less than a month ago for my son who is totally obsessed with dinosaurs. During play the internal neck joint broke and indominus’ head was dangling. My son was SOOOO upset.. I taped him up the best I could but it’s still frustrating to spend that much money on one toy for it to break.

Rated 1 out of 5 by Mammasaurs from Concept is Awesome My 4yo received this as a gift a few months ago. Since then the neck of the dinosaur has broken and fallen forward creating a gap in the neck exposing wires. This is the 2nd ( or 3rd)Jurassic Word toy that he owns that has broken. He loves Jurassic World and is thrilled when he receives anything that has a Jurassic World logo on it. As a parent it sucks to know that we are spending our money on a franchise that our child loves, to have their products break. I would highly recommend this product if our did not break ...

Rated 4 out of 5 by Wade from Large size! I wasn't sure exactly how big this was going to be until it arrived. It's HUGE at over 23 inches nose to tail! What kid doesn't love a huge dinosaur? The roars and moving legs and jaws are great fun to pose it different ways. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 5 out of 5 by MommyJojo from Amazing Toy with Amazing Features! A Must Have! I received The Jurassic World Destroy ‘N Devour Indominus Rex toy compliments of the Mattel Rate and Review Program in exchange for my honest review of this toy. The moment my 7, almost 8 year old son saw this toy he was so excited! He loves Jurassic World Toys and has been wanting an Indominous Rex Toy. It is amazing! When I asked my son a few times what his favorite part about the toy was he said “Everything! It’s perfect! I can’t pick my favorite part because it’s so cool!” The head moves and so does the body. The mouth actually opens when you press the button on its tail and it roars and the neck lights up! You can position the Indominous Tex Toy to eat other dinosaurs which aren’t included but my son has a bunch already so that wasn’t a negative aspect. Then you can push down the tail so that Indominous Rex picks up and actually eats ( pretends to eat ) the smaller dinosaur or whatever you want to use. You can even see Indominous eating the dino because the neck lights up red. The toy is very easy to take back out too. Nothing ever got stuck and it does go all the way down; there is a stopping point to prevent things getting stuck. There’s a button on its neck which makes it making slashing movements and sounds! It’s really the coolest toy ever! It’s really easy to use and follow the instructions that come with it to show you and your child what everything does and how it works. I love Mattel and Jurassic World Toys too and honestly I wish that I could have this toy too. It’s so well made, works very well, and does things that I’ve never seen any other toy or dinosaur do. There is even a free app that you can download to learn about the Indominous Rex and other Jurassic World facts. My son hasn't gotten bored with this Jurassic World Destroy ‘N Devour Indominous Rex, he loves it and hasn't stopped playing with it which is rare for an almost 8 year old. This toy is a must have for any child or adult, any age! I give it 5 stars! I have no negative comments about this toy. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 1 out of 5 by zapatalg from My son loved until it broke I bought this dinosaur last December for my son, he is obsessed with dinosaurs and this was his favourite from the collection toy until it broke last week. I have tried to fix it in many different ways but it doesn't work. My kid is so disappointed and sad, he cries his dinosaur every day. I will highly recommend if it wouldn't break

Rated 1 out of 5 by Sal1980 from Same Problem as Everyone Else... Chomping! Our son is obsessed with Dino’s and Jurassic Park. He has every Dino out there but the Indomius since they were so hard to find. When he got this for his birthday it was by far his favorite present. Unfortunately after a month or so of play, the tail button went. Now the thing has next to no functionality and the kid is heartbroken. Mattel has been good at sending replacement parts or a new one in the past so I hope they can do the same here.

Rated 1 out of 5 by wowthissucks from Why does it break I asked my dad to buy it for me because it was so cool...until it arrived. I pressed the button a few times and the lights and sounds broke. When I tried fixing it it broke even MORE! The mouth doesn’t even move. Now I’m left with this forty dollar piece of trash in my house. Test your products Mattel!!!!

Rated 2 out of 5 by Estrella87 from Broke after one day! My nephew has been been playing with it but it stopped making the chomping sound. Not sure if anyone has had this happen, but when the toy lights up it only roars, but the crunching sound is nowhere to be found. We got this for him yesterday and a little over 24 hrs it’s missing this sound.

Rated 1 out of 5 by Upset kids from Broken & beeps strangely We bought this a couple of weeks ago & it started beeping instead of roaring. It’s very upsetting to our boys, 4 & 6. We have multiple other Mattel dinosaur toys & use the apps along with play. I am asking for a replacement. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 5 out of 5 by RainMama883 from Destroy n’ Devour Indominus Rex The Destroy n’Devour Indominus Rex toy gets five stars from my son who is almost 8. He has played with it non stop for hours since it arrived days ago. He likes making it eat smaller dinosaurs, little Imaginext guys, and even bothers our puppy with it, which both seem to get a kick out of! It has two buttons. One on the tail for a roar. And one on the neck to make the arms close together and a noise. It’s neck also lights up. We were both surprised when we saw it has an actual throat with a button at the bottom. When it “eats” things, they hit the button and it makes chomp and crunch noises and lights up. That’s hands-down, my son’s favorite feature! Strongly recommend to all the fellow dinosaur fans! Rated 2 out of 5 by Mommasaurus from Cool looking... We were super excited to finally get the indominous Rex after waiting for 2 weeks, (especially since its virtually impossible to find in Canada) but equally disappointed to discover the tail button. The other button works fine just not the tail. I attached a pic of what’s happening. It’s super disappointing because it truly is a cool looking toy, and my son had many LEGO victims prepared with that cool mouth and swallow feature. Bummer. I wouldn’t recommend due to that feature and the price point for a broken or defective toy.

Rated 2 out of 5 by Andy999 from Delicate A dinosaur toy shouldn’t be delicate. There’s a small cable inside that controls the mouth motion, it breaks and comes loose very easily. My son was extremely disappointed to discover this after only having it a few months and it no longer functioned. I’ve researched how to remedy the scenario, and to fix it you have to have a degree in mechanical engineering and about a week of free time.

Rated 1 out of 5 by Epically Disappointed from Feel like these can’t be played with My son loves Jurassic Park, but Mattel dinosaurs just don’t seem to last very long. This is the fourth Mattel dinosaur that has broken from normal play. Usually the feet break off, but this one’s head fell off!! Love the collection, but very frustrating and disappointing!

Rated 2 out of 5 by Jill1234 from Son's favorite dinosaur, but it broke after a mont Bought this for my son's birthday, he's head it for a month. He stops to tell people on the street about his indominus rex. He pushed the button on three back this morning that makes it chomp and roar, and it is broken. There is no way to access the mechanism to fix it without destroying the dinosaur. He's really disappointed, and this seems to be a common problem. Disappointing for such an expensive toy.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Ginak09151 from Super fun dinosaur! This dinosaur is really awesome! My son (7) is a huge dinosaur fan and has several the same size of the Indominus Rex, but none are anywhere near as cool. This dinosaur has eaten or tried to eat everything in it's path! The size and feel of the Indominus Rex are perfect. It's not too heavy and is easy to move around and set up on different types of floor. The two buttons control the claws and the mouth, along with lighting up the throat and roaring. The roaring is loud enough for a kid to really enjoy but not too loud to drive a parent crazy! My son's favorite part is definitely the devouring! The throat of the Indominus Rex is really cool - he can eat something and the back of the throat is touch active so it lights up and you can see the shadow of the eaten creature on the outside. And the throat is pretty large so many things can fit back there without getting stuck. Overall, we are really loving playing with this dinosaur. He is part of everything we play (he even went to space) and will be something we play with for many years to come. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
