Rated 1 out of 5 by Frustrated Grammy. from Well darn! I have been buying Melissa and Doug toys for the last four years. Most I have been satisfied with. I bought the farmyard cube for a Christmas gift. It did nor come with batteries, fine. When I took the box out to put the batteries in I couldn't get it unscrewed. Now the cheap China screw is stripped so I can't even try. I'll be returning it to the store. What a joy drain this thing is. I hope that this company is not not going to start going cheap on us now that they have become more popular. I won't buy another toy from this company if it requires batteries. Very aggravating Melissa and Doug.

Rated 3 out of 5 by Mmsmeow from Cute toy but no sounds... I received this product as a gift for my son. I don't know where the person who got it for us bought it or I would have returned it or exchanged it. The toy's sounds were all dead/broken upon arrival to my home. It looked in-opened but I don't know why none of the noises worked. I tried it again several weeks later and still nothing so clearly broken on arrival. That is disappointing and I didn't want to tell the person who bought it for us because I didn't want them to feel bad since it was either the manufacturer's defect, someone bought it, used it, returned it, or it was played with in store enough times that the noises stopped working. Otherwise it is cute and the touch sensory stuff is fun.

Rated 2 out of 5 by Young Grandparent from One or the other please My grandchild got this toy as a gift. While it is colorful and easy for her to maneuver, the music leaves much to be desired. It is very difficult to differentiate between the background music and the animal sounds. It make sense for it to just have the animal sounds or a background song. If the point is to have the child associate the animal noises with the animal picture then it is not accomplished. If the point is to have the child enjoy the music then the animal sounds are distracting and not realistic sounding.

Rated 1 out of 5 by Mom from Would not buy again Bought this for my 11 month old. My baby is scared of this toy and is upset by the noises. The sounds of the animals do not really sound like the actual animal. I called and asked to exchange it since I bought it directly through melissa and doug but they won't. I won't buy from this company again.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Michael's Momma from My 6 month old loves it! My 6 month old loves this toy, especially the crinkly parts and child safe mirror! The buttons are a little hard for him to push, but when we play, his dad or I just push them for him. It's a great opportunity to interact with him. On another note, my husband and I have been going back and forth on what sound is paired with the sheep??? We've searched the internet and compared all different kinds of sounds, but can't agree on what it is. We would greatly appreciate this friendly dispute being settled!!

Rated 2 out of 5 by Oinkedoff from Baby (or 2 year old) can't even press the buttons!! Cute toy...kind of..but what is the point if the baby or 2 year old even can't press the musical buttons to make then pig oink (cow moo, sheep baa...). Is there something wrong with mine or is this intended to not be able to be pressed by the child? Sounds like just a flaw with the design, but geez you'd think you'd think of that. Must be a bunch of Doug's in that meeting, and the Melissa's were all at home playing with toys that's work.

Rated 3 out of 5 by h2eat3h from Cute Toy The activity cube is very cute and the noises get the attention of your baby. I also could not find where to put the batteries and was about to return it. There is a velcro panel on the bottom that is hidden very well. So good for play but not great for the parent looking for the batteries. Now that I have found the battery compartment, my baby is much more interested in the cube.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Rena from Great purchase I bought this as a gift for a 4 month old thinking it would be a few months until he really enjoyed it. His mom sent a picture of him already squeezing & playing with it. It will be a little longer until he pushes the "noses" but already loves it. Great purchase. It was suggested by my niece that has 2 older little ones, she said music was always a winner & it was.
