What a clever teaching toy!
I love giving this item as a gift! Recently, I purchased this for my friend's 4 year old child. She loved being able to "cut" the fruits and veggies. She immediately grabbed the play knife and started slicing. The sound and the slicing action made her smile and giggle. In addition to the motor skill activities we did, it also gave us the opportunity to do some basic math, patterning / sorting plus some good old fashioned play. I would recommend this to anyone looking for a unique gift for a birthday or holiday.

Poor quality
The velcro fell off the foods 2 days after I received them, they're really cheaply made, however my son really wanted them so I had to buy velcro and fix them myself.

Great for toddlers
My 15 month older toddler loves to take the food apart. And when he is old enough, it will be a great matching game. Detail on the fruits and veggies is great, very real looking. Con, the velcro stickers sometimes peel off when the produce is pulled apart.

Good fun
Lovely set of Velcro play food. My granddaughter, 2 and 1/2, sits for ages chopping and reattaching. They look like the real foods, unlike a lot of others you can buy!

They are easy to hold but the head of lettuce did not look like a head of lettuce. I bought it thinking that this set was made of the same material that all of the other foods that i have bought in the past. My grandsons set has already lost the velcro on the food.

I will buy this product again.
Children (and parents) absolutely love these. There are conducive to multiple teaching opportunities. The one con is the Velcro sticks too well and little hands can have difficulty cutting them apart.

My daughter enjoys cutting the fruits and vegetables with the knife. Her father is a chef so she loves showing him what she can do. It also goes well with all the other cooking items we have.
