Great Product
At first glance, this set doesn't appear like much. After buying this set and building it, I believe it has exceeded my expectations. The dragon is larger then pictures make it seem, or at least that's how I see it. The figures are pretty good, I like the Snake guy alot. I do wish this set came with one more figure. The dragon, for the price and limited amount of pieces, can be posed and played with quite a bit. I do also like the ability to rearrange the pieces of the dragon with ease to make your own version of it.
The box art is not good like many have noted, but the overall build is sturdy and good for play.
As someone who has been a lego fan for over a decade and someone who is not into Ninjago, I highly recommend this set.

expectations exceeded
after having this built i can very easily say that this is one of the best small ninjago dragons. very simple and very customizable, not to mention the amazing minifigures included too. 100% recommend giving a try

A Macabre Malignity
I made purchase of this only for the miniature plastic "Jay" ninja figurine which, I might add, was ludicrously under-printed. Juxtaposed with the seabound merchandise and that of the island these new Ninjago plastic kits are an entire abomination and do not merit the least commendation. The snake figurine was plebeian, the Ninja is insipid, and the use of large pieces in the construction of the basilisk was particularly unimaginative. My assistant thought that the lack of printing on the miniature plastic figurines a refreshing alteration but I put him in his place and determined to make him transcribe this review. Another complaint I must raise is that of the opprobrious cartoon illustrated in the instructive manual that did not elicit the slightest guffaw from me. Finally I wish to apprise the company of LEGO that I shall transfer my alliances to Monkie kid if they do not correct this hideousness

Great play
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This Lego 140 piece set is a great building toy for any child that loves to build and play with legos. It’s great how it was put together in the box with the numbers on the bags to Correspond with directions in the booklet. Easy to read with the picture Diagram and numbers with pieces do you need to put together to make the dragon. Depending on level of expertise it could take you no time to put this together. My child love putting this together and then playing with the legos.

The Epitome of Entertainment
Despite what other hooligans may say, this is not a "Macabre Malignity", but on the contrary, is the epitome of entertainment. As an Expert Builder, I constructed this with the same idea as others, but I was able to rise above all the hullabaloo which was created, and I discovered its true purpose. He is meant for joy, creativity, and Laughter. It is impossible to look at his face and not get a smile upon your own. Another thing, the figures are incredible. Despite the heinous accusations given towards them in the past, the miniature plastic "Jay" figurine is something fresh and new with the cool yellow and sand blue tones added to his robes. The inclusion of his hair wrapped in a headband is also very welcome indeed. The Miniature plastic figurine commonly known as "Mango Whipper" is also truly goated with the sauce. His backpack which appear to be wings on the box art are also a very fine inclusion, and can be used as much more than that. "Mango Whipper" also appears to resemble Dr. Octavius Octopus when his backpack is attached. All in all, there is nothing horrendous that must be fixed, and I shall not transfer my alliances to the likes of LEGO Monkie Kid, however strong the temptation may be. 5 Stars

Cute and Easy
My little brother (7yrs old) bought this set with his allowance money. And he LOVES it. he keeps taking it apart and putting it back together. plays with the mini-figures a lot. even takes them to town with him. dragon is a good set for the price. An excellent dragon for little kids

Alright
This set is alright. The build is not that great. It looks weird and is more for the younger audiences. I like the evo concept but the first build is just bad and looks like its missing many things. The mini-figures are nice.
