Elevate your LEGO building skills to a higher level with this LEGO Architecture 21046 Empire State Building set. Located at the heart of New York City, the Empire State Building towers above the surrounding skyscrapers. Construction of the building began on March 17, 1930 and just one year and 45 days later, on May 1, 1931 it was opened for business. The height of the structure was increased in 1950 with the addition of the iconic antenna tower. At 21? (55cm), the tallest LEGO Architecture model to date (July 2019), this highly detailed replica accurately recreates the symmetrical lines of the structure with its 4 curtain wall facades and art deco antenna tower. The tiled baseplate depicts Fifth Avenue and surrounding roads complete with yellow cabs, and the model is finished with a decorative nameplate. This 360°-displayable model delivers an interesting and rewarding building experience and makes a truly iconic centerpiece for the home and office. It has been developed for all with an interest in travel, architectural culture, history and design.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Empire State of Mind I recently went to New York City and saw this building (and all the others on the Skyline set) in person, and this set is by far the most accurate for the scale you could get to the actual look of the Empire State Building. I wouldn't ask for them to do anything else with this set, and the designers did a fantastic job! I do love the escalator/elevator "Easter eggs" included during the building process, and besides the base, this build was pretty straightforward. The side panels are somewhat fragile but once the build's complete it's extremely sturdy. I love large-scale Architecture sets like this, and I would love to see maybe a stand-alone One World Trade Center or Chrysler Building Architecture set in the future! Thanks for this fantastic set!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome I bought this set for my son, but I was also very excited about it. The building looks awesome, and it is quite impressive. I have only one humble request to LEGO... create other sets about iconic buildings but PLEEEEEAAAAAAASE, keep the SAME SCALE, even if the building ends with 1+ m tall. For instance, the 21031 Burj Khalifa now looks minute compared to this ESB, and they are hardly comparable due to the big difference in terms of scale. This ESB could set the beginning of a new line of sets inside the Architecture series.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great looking From start it was little bit confusing but after a while it went well. One of the most beautiful Lego Architecture. Just need to buy small king kong to top... :)

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great piece of Architecture I adore the Architecture series! This was my 6th build from it. It was also my tallest and most piece-set I´ve ever built so far. It was a bit to keep track of all the pieces as well as making sure Im doing everything right. I messed up once, but thankfully easy to correct! Just grabbed two very similiar pieces. Its a fun, slightly advanced build (for me anyway), and it took me a few hours with a break after bag 3 was complete! The building looks so great when its finished, grandeur in its size and details.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Stunning I bought this product in the Spring and finally had a chance last night to put it together. It took me roughly 8 hours, and somewhere close to the end I somehow missed a step, and when I went back on the instructions I still couldn't figure out my error. Regardless I was able to make it look complete still, I just have a piece missing where the black lego is but it kinda looks like a binocular lookout anyway and to the average age you can't notice it. I had a couple pieces that were sent in error, for instance instead of light grey pieces I was sent dark grey instead but you can't notice, I think I was also missing another piece but I had extra pieces from my other sets. Regardless I love it, and it brings back memories of my visit to NYC and it displays nicely on my desk

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nicely Done My household owns all of the Architecture Lego’s so when this set came out we had to have it. The only reservation I had was the monotony of the numerous exterior bricks, however Lego had an answer, within the directions they split it up in such a way that you do not realize the hundreds of exterior pieces you place on the building- well done Lego !! I also enjoyed that there were quite a few new building techniques. The building is solid and with 1700 pieces was very easy to build and a very enjoyable build. My son and I are Lego crazies with 100’s of sets and we are always looking for the newest Lego to come out and we are glad this one was added to the Architecture series’s as it looks majestic standing next to our Statue Of Liberty. Thank You Lego - Keep Up The Quality Work

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Architectural Set I very much enjoyed assembling the Empire State Building. Some novel construction methods result in a very solid final product. While some sections can be a bit repetitive, the way the designer has constructed these segments keeps it interesting. Would definitely recommend... Strengths: - Good sense of scale and appearance, especially given the size of the model - You get a sense of the size of the building during construction - Very solid final product - Perfect size for display - Great part quality with no variations in colour Opportunities: - None really, other than the build was over too soon!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Empire State Of Mind A fantastic set with a great desk top appeal. Using very clever building techniques the finished model looks incredible from all angles, and as with most Lego sets, the pictures don't do the finished product justice!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good Value My 11 year old and I really enjoyed putting this project together and the end product is impressive. The instructions were really good and easy to follow. The only downside was that we were provided a couple of darker grey pieces that should have been lighter grey and this resulted in a slight blip above the lobby doors where the roof isn't entirely the same color. However, if you haven't built this project, you probably would never notice this.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Better Than I Imagined I had been wanting this set for a while and now I finally have it, I couldn't be happier. The design is ridiculously detailed and the build was a lot of fun. My husband and I spent the afternoon building it... which was great team building for us both. It wasn't too tedious to construct and we are both novice Lego builders too. I am very impressed with the quality and end result. Well played Lego team!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Incredibuild. I just finished building this and was pleased to find it was a bit harder than I imagined. Its not particularly difficult and a bit repetetive in places but I love the finished build. Has pride if place alongside my Lego™ Saturn V rocket and Statue of Liberty which are also good sets.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Wonderful build I bought this the Empire State Building as a Xmas present to myself to help get thru this current lockdown here . WOW!.. it’s an amazingly enjoyable and a beautiful finished model of this iconic building which I once rode the elevators up . Highly recommended ! (hint) I cant wait for the other NYC icon, the Chrysler building to join it on display ; )

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Pretty neat Overall it’s great! Makes a great display piece with its size and symmetry. The red, white and blue pieces inside and the hidden escalators were nice touches. My only complaint is that a large 2x4 piece was missing and a strange piece from some other kit was included instead. It will take a while until I complete it because I have to wait on the missing piece to arrive.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Beautiful. This has to be one of the most beautiful Lego Architecture builds I have done. The finished result is amazing! Relatively easy to construct and so much fun. I absolutely love it. Now, please can we have a Chrysler Building!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from First time build Bought this to battle isolation, however when I got started I couldn’t seem to stop. It was satisfying when all the pieces spited together to make this magnificently sized replica of the Empire State. What will I build next?!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from More fun than I thought it could be My adult daughter loves these things. Sometimes they sit around for months waiting for a special day to break the seal, as was the case with her Christmas gift. I thought an intermediate size architectural kit would be something we could open and do together. The Empire State Building was the perfect balance between something small enough to do and have fun with without getting bogged down in something that would take forever and sit around waiting for us to get motivated. There were virtually no challenges in putting this together, and it looked really great when completed--far better than the Eiffel Tower or the very weak and small Sydney Opera House. We had no missing parts (a few extra ones were there, but don't think we left anything out), and the instructions were easy to follow. This is definitely a kit that could be built by someone who had never attempted a LEGO project before.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great fun I really enjoyed building this. It was my Sunday afternoon treat during lockdown, took me 5 weeks, a couple of hours per week. My only quibble is that one of the golden pieces, right at the very end, was missing. It wasn’t essential and you can’t see it’s missing if I position it against the wall.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from A towering, and enduring, NYC landmark A great representation of the famous building, though I wish the color was more of a steel gray. I love the tiny taxi cabs at the base of the model. Now all we need is an appropriate sized gorilla mini figure to clip on to the base of the antenna section, for "accuracy's" sake.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Worth the money, and great building experience! Loved the set! Overall, a great build, and fantastic value for money. A great building experience with some interesting techniques, and not too difficult, in comparison to other sets! Another set to add to the collection...
