Everything is awesome.... with this train
This set is a must have for fans of the rails. If you would like to see where I believe the inspiration for this train came from look for a video on YouTube called Eurostar from the air.
I like this set so much I bought two so I could have a full length model of the Eurostar, in lego form that is. Its not exact but it looks close enough for me.
Overall fun to build and watch cruise around the rails. Only downside is not with the set itself really. We just want more trains and train track options like the older sets that had flashing lights/signs or lampposts for a train yard, and the ever elusive crossover track, this time if you were to make it needs an upgrade of the tracks being able to switch independently from one another.

Something is Missing
The set went together easily in an afternoon. However I feel it needs a second engine car at the back to make it look finished. I was disappointed to see the Led headlights 88005 are an optional extra and found the bluetooth pairing sequence a little confusing initially. The LED flashing sequence and colours are not explained anywhere. Purple - ready to pair. White flashing - scanning channels for other unit. Solid colour - units paired.

Excellent product
I was looking at lego sets when I stumbled upon this and I gave it try. this set is, in my opinion, was fairly easy to build and is very fun to play with. Watching it go around in circles gets old pretty quick so I would recommend getting additional track. My only problem is that the tracks are very hard to separate when they are fresh out of the box. that may only be because this is only my first time with lego trains. overall, a great product and I would definitely recommend this to you.

Great Job, LEGO City!
This LEGO is top on my list of all time LEGO kits. LEGO 60197 consists of 677 pieces, manuals, 4 minifigures (two train passengers, a train attendant, and conductor). It comes with a 10-speed remote control that provides easy and fun play. The front train car consists of the engine piece which can connect to an app on you phone, or the Bluetooth remote controller. However, this eats up plenty of AAA Batteries! The second car is a passenger car, with seats and a luggage case. The third car has a refreshment table and other cool stuff. My only disagree about this set is that it should come with plenty more track pieces. If you set the speed high enough, the train will fall off the short supply of track.

Awesome
First start with LEGO that can move around, upgrade to LEGO with remote, finally now going towards LEGO control by all or remote control.
Awesome set my kids will Love to play with it.
Only down thing is if only come with more tracks. Max speed Train will flip over, so I also got another set of extended tracks.

Too expensive for what you get...
Visually, the most beautiful train made by LEGO (in the City theme), and by far. But to be honest, it is quite the only positive point I find to this train..... The value for money is not very appealing. If you plan to play with it, make sure to buy a ton of batteries, for it is extremely energy hungry. And I mean it, extremely ! The minifigs you get are very basic. I would have like at least 5 or 6 more minifigs with this set. And another passenger wagon wouldn't have been too generous from LEGO. My best advice for you: Don't buy this train, unless it is discounted at a very lower price.

Great set! Except for the rear engine/end-car
I loved the design of this new train. I have almost all of the Lego trains since 2010. This set is one of the coolest ones next to the Horizon Express sets that I have (which also didn't come with an end car or a rear engine like this). However I bought 2 of the Horizon express sets as they didnt come with power functions, so it made sense to buy 2 of them and add just 1 power function set to the train. However this train is a bit weird situation to get to a complete finish as if I buy 2 of them, them I am paying for 2 motors for the same connected trains - so thats a waste of money. Not sure why Lego chose to release a half done train with Power functions as it just makes the complete set more expensive.
Anyway being a born Lego fan, I can only like Lego and never hate it for anything. Good work Lego team on the new train!

Great fun to play with but disappointing
It was an enjoyable build and great playability but very very disappointed it only comes with one engine train. A second one is needed (without power function) to make it look like a proper train. Don't like the idea that I have to buy another set now to make it look real train. Also I was unable to get the app to download so I could use my phone. 10 batteries to run the train and controller is not ideal either.
