Rated 4 out of 5 by from GRAY BASEPLATE The size of this baseplate is great, but value of money, kind of poor. LEGO should make baseplate this size in EVERY COLOUR!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from GRAY BASEPLATE The baseplate is flimsier than I had expected. I feel that it should be at as thick as one of the larger flat pieces to better hold what is built in it. It would also be nice being thicker to be able to have the holes on the back to be usable to make a thicker base for appearances. Also to be able to link the baseplates together to make an even larger base for the kits with larger foot prints. for example, my Robie House model is too long for the largest baseplate - I will need two of them to hold the model. With thicker baseplates and using part #4211390 to make a sturdy sandwich base and the parts(similar to #4211387) that have holes and with the parts #4514553(as an example) to join them together like the city blocks would make the baseplate more usable. I think these baseplates are a good start toward an even better product that will help enhance the fun of Lego building.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Super-Flimsy! I bought four of these for my daughter for all her Friends sets (She has 59!). But she no sooner took them out of the package and they began to warp and curl up. They will not lay flat unless she builds a rather heavy element on them. I've designed a couple architectural models, but I'm afraid to buy this baseplate for fear it will do the same, even though it is the size I need. Hey Lego, for the price, how about making the plates heavier? Legos aren't just for kids anymore, and I'd like to get my money's worth. Thanks!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great but.... I love the size of this baseplate. It's worked great for several projects. The only issue I have with it is the color. Unfortunately most of my projects would turn out better if the baseplate also came in green.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Not even a real plate It's thin compared to normal plate pieces, so putting a plate piece next to it and connecting with another brick or piece usually doesn't work very well. Kind of monotone. I wish these at least were offered in other colors at this size, or a mix of colors on one base. To me, it basically provides only one function: an anchor to put a building onto.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Colorwise I am building a Lego table for my grandkids and am disappointed this plate only comes in one color. A variety of colors would be desirable. Especially green.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from We use a lot of base plates when we create our own ideas. When building a village or Jurassic Park, the base plates are used to hold everything together. Would like to see the large base plates available in green as well to add to the realism in our creations.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good Size Base This is bigger than your average size Lego base and its great for building big builds on. Ive purchased a few of these lately and a must have for any lego fan like me Good quality, all we need now is some blue ones

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Gray Basenoodle This baseplate is a thin piece of junk. If you mount your creation on it don't plan to move it, it will bend and flex like a wet noodle. It mike'd at barely 0.050 of an inch, you would think for $15 they could of added a little plastic to them. By comparison, a regular LEGO baseplate that comes in the sets are at least 0.120 to 0.125 of an inch.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love my Lego's These plates are awesome for creating cities towns villages and even woods and zoo's. They are rather pricey, but if you are a true Lego creator you know you need the as a base or place to start!!! Love them!!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Please make in a 10x10 I wish these would be available in a 10x10 format. I'm trying to buy for my sons and know they would be bothered when they don't "fit" together.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Item Query.. What shade of Grey is this baseplate? (Old grey / light or dark bluish grey)
Date published: 2015-11-03
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Simple Baseplate, does the job well Recently purchased one of this base plate as a foundation to one of my city builds. Grey is good for concrete areas with buildings next to a road plate. Perfect on a flat surface like a table, despite what everyone says about it being thin and what not.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from O.K. It's really flimsy, and things don't stay on well. But it you stick smaller base plates on it things stay on.
