Rated 4 out of 5 by from Almost there...... I really try to be objective in my reviews and not grant ‘fives’ to everything that comes down the road. Because even a Lego designer can have a bad day. With that said, this is a satisfactory set and I appreciate Lego continuing the series. While I don’t fully understand forcing a fire station into my Christmas themed Lego display, it is a very eye catching set. I do wish it were a more complete building and I think I’ll use some extra bricks I have to make it more of a modular style building. While the minor figs aren’t of much value to me, there are nice ones included with the set. The Dalmatian is neat.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Nice Idea but Corners Cut I have collected everyone one of the winter village sets since their initial release, and look forward each year to the new set. This set though to me was a little underwhelming. As others stated the building seems incomplete, considering the truck extends past the back of the building. But the main reason for my disappointment was with the simplicity of the Christmas tree. Compared to the past sets in the series this tree seem out of place when added to the collective. I hope this is not a sign of things to come with the series.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Classic and a Great Addition Yesterday, I finally got my hands on this awesome LEGO set. It's beautifully detailed, and it feels like a small, Christmas version of the old LEGO Fire Brigade Modular Building set from years back. Everything came together well, and it was a fun challenge for me. I definitely recommend this LEGO set for those who want to add to their LEGO Winter Village collection, as the builds are fun to assemble, and the result is a cozy Christmas scene. Rated 4 out of 5 by from Glad to add to the village I was thrilled to add the fire station to the village. Fire men hold a special place in our hearts as my son is the MDA ambassador. He is 16 and in a 400# wheelchair. He still can build legos, thankfully and is building this set as part of his therapy. He loves the set and while I think it has beautiful new features, I wish it was a bigger building. Putting together my village has been an activity I do with my kids. I have added mini battery operated Christmas lights and street lights and wish/hope Lego will figure out out to make those lights instead of just the light bricks. If they stayed on they’d make more sense. I’ll contin to add to my collection, I just have to work on a place to put it. :).

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good, fun, and quick build Honestly a nice little build to do and well designed, it was the first of the Winter Village sets I put together and is honestly something that reminds me of the little figurine towns that would be setup in houses around the Holidays. The set certainly stokes the old world feel, even an old New England feel to it. As far as piece count goes, the overall set seems pretty well put together and not a whole lot of extra scenes for it, everything seems to have a purpose to it. I look forward to purchasing other sets like it, and I really am hoping they could include a Winter Village Town Hall set at some point and even a Winter Village Police Station which would really bring it all together.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Can be used with older fire trucks This is a good set. The bench, little blue vehicle and the ice rink are a nice addition. The fire truck is nice and has 2 seats. The gate might be a brick higher to give acces to other fire vehicles but I used an easier option. I removed the dark grey 1x12 plate and the 2x2 bow slopes on the gate to give access on ladder fire vehicle from set 6554 for extra support. The fire truck in the Winter Village Fire Station has only 1 ladder instead of 2 (shorter range). Both vehicles can through the gate now and even the other fire vehicles without a ladder. Pros - The roof can be removed to get better access to the interior. - bench - little blue vehicle - sleigh - ice rink - fire truck with two seats Cons - Fire truck has 1 ladder instead of 2 - Grey 1x12 plate on the gate might be removed or replaced with tiles (and 1x2 plates under the walls) 9/10

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great family build We loved building this set as a family. Built this with my husband and 4 yo son. We mixed it up with other artic Citysets, the Hogwarts Express, gift box promo, and Advent calendar pieces. I think this set has a lot of playability and stands up on its own, or plays well with the others. Modifications we made, added an extra snowman and a white husky, moved the flag to a corner of the roof to make way for a candy cane clock, and placed a smaller, second Christmas tree with two firepeople dancing on the roof to make a romantic scene. The third fireperson was on the bench with a sax serenading the children and dancers on the roof.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Somehow looks much better when built than in pics I must admit that I was a little wary of this build, especially as the images seem to suggest it looks very thin. However, having built it, the station is higher than expected and actually goes back further than I thought. I like the decorative features on the facade and it was a fun build. Can be a little fiddly at times. My set arrived without any stickers for some reason, but Lego replaced them pretty quickly. Overall, have grown to love this set. My only reservations are that the set could have been slightly thicker despite it looking wider than the pictures suggest.
