Rated 5 out of 5 by LadyVelma from Excellent Set and overwhelming nostalgia This set took me back to my childhood! I was a neat build that captured the original movie in a way I never thought a Lego set could. It was fun and great way to not only have fun with lego but relive movie moments I enjoyed decades ago. 10/10 would love more sets like this!

Rated 5 out of 5 by Syrianne from Amazing set! Since I've begun helping my son building his lego sets I dreamed of getting a project of my own to work on in the evening. I'm glad I chose this one. This set is filled with small details reminding the us of the movie. We had a blast laughing and quoting the movie while building the gate (my favorite part of the whole project). Once built, however, the T-Rex definitively stands out! Solid, good looking, well balanced, it's the T-Rex toy I would have always dreamed of as a kid.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Renquist from Much quicker than 65 million years in the making “God creates dinosaurs. God destroys dinosaurs. God creates man. Man destroys God. Man creates dinosaurs.” in Lego! This set is superb, the T. rex looks great, it really captures the star of Jurassic Park well, even considering the sharp edges of Lego. It's huge too, a really spectcular looking set, I really can't find fault it, well maybe the addition of a goat, although. “T. rex doesn’t want to be fed, she wants to hunt.” And there is a massive gate in the set too and some superb minifigures!

Rated 5 out of 5 by OzLegoMan from A Must Buy Item This set is "AWESOME", To start with this set has 3120 pieces & comes with 6 characters from the movie (John Hammond, Ian Malcom, Ellie Sattler, Alen Grant, Ray Arnold & Dennis Nedry) as Lego Minifigures, plus a baby dinosaur figure, then you get the front gate which on the back side has scene references from the movie. The front gate also opens & closers. Then you get the T. Rex which is the best thing from the set in my opinion which is very articulated so you can pose it in many ways. Also comes with a nice stand & plaque to put your minifigs on. So if your a Jurassic Park or T.Rex fun i suggest you buy this set cause you won't be disappointed.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Sanjay from Brilliant play experience with some design flaws For all fans of the original (1993) JP this is a product that I would 100% recommended however, as stated in the title, there are some design flaws that I will now address: 1) so much of the detail is in the vignettes at the back of the gate - but when you have it on display you can’t see them - and so there was really no point in having them in the first place (for most customers that will buy this, it will be displayed on a shelf - and so you can only really show off the back if you have a 360 degree display). It would have been better to have the back of the gate greyed out and then to have those iconic scenes built as a separate row or column. 2) The T-rex’s Teeth are too small - they should probably have been about twice the length that they were made. 3) The head of the t-rex keeps falling down - to position it upwards and to the side, I had to wedge a folded tissue in between the head and neck. Otherwise it just falls down and to the centre - the ball joint that connects the head and neck is not very good. 4) The neck of the T-Rex should have been connected through a ball joint so that it can be positioned at different angles, as opposed to just ‘up and down’. (The ball joints that connect the tail are excellent, so I’m not quite sure what happened with the ‘head-neck’ connection?) 5) One of the scenes for the vignettes is the toilet in which the lawyer, Donald Gennaro gets eaten - however he is not included in the set, but all of the other scenes have their required characters. 6) Dr Ian Malcolm’s torso piece is not as high quality as his face and leg pieces. 7) I really feel like Donald Gennaro, Robert Muldoon, Lex and Timmy should have been in this set. 8) There are tyre tracks for the base of the build which you can see if you zoom in, there should have been the iconic Jeep Wrangler to sit on that - which would be able to fit: Ellie, Ian and Robert. (with the way that I’ve positioned my Rex, it would have recreated the scene from the film where they are being chased) With all of that said, this was still a brilliant set. It had a great build flow and I would recommend this to any JP fan - those were just things that I picked up. I would really love to see Lego continue making more Jurassic Park sets, as opposed to Jurassic World sets, like this one. Preferably designed for adults (16+), over children There are so many more scenes from the film that can be used and made into large sets: maybe a large design for the visitor centre, the sick triceratops, the battle at the end where the three raptors surround the main characters and then Rexy saves the day, raptors in the kitchen hunting Lex and Timmy - I have seen this set before, but it would be better if there was a more detailed build aimed at adults - with an intricate design for the raptors. The two T-rex’s Destroying the trailer and ripping Eddy apart from JP2. Maybe even a Spinosauros from JP3 that could scale to this t-rex. Large, individual JP dinosaurs would also be cool

Rated 5 out of 5 by Sunnylegolover from Dino lovers birthday gift We bought this for our 10 year olds birthday. He raced through building the Dino and built the gate slower as once he’d unlocked all of the mini figures he was less motivated. Trex is amazing though not the best to play with as pieces can fall off in play and I found it challenging to help him fix it. We were disappointed there were no printed bricks and stickers instead for this expensive set (300$ CDN). When will vehicle be released that fits in gate tire tracks?

Rated 5 out of 5 by AdmiralShinyJellyfish from Awesome! Great set. I really didn't realize how big both models would actually be (quite large). The T-Rex is definitely the highlight of the set for me. It is sturdy, movable, and overall, quite a neat display piece. For the amount of pieces, uniqueness of the set, and satisfaction of my nostalgia, the price is understandable. The combination of a great LEGO set and a movie/story, both of which ruled my childhood, is quite valuable to me. No complaints for this specific set, although I do have one related to this theme...MORE CLASSIC JURASSIC PARK SETS PLEASE!!

Rated 4 out of 5 by Wimster from Great memories coming back in 3D... I like this set. Not love it, that’s why only four stars. It’s a fun and not too simple built which is nice. The gate got a lot larger than I thought it was going to be and that was a pleasant surprise. The Rex is awesome but his head is a little bit too heavy for the balljoint hinging point that causes his head to easily drop back down in some poses. But overall a great looking animal. It’s proudly standing next to the tv and it freaked out my cats for a few days. I also started watching all five movies with my kids again and they’re having fun pointing out the different scenes in the movie that are build in, inside the back of the gate. The four stars are mainly because of the Rex’ ‘head injury’, and maybe the slightly high overall set price...

Rated 4 out of 5 by MrHangman56 from fantastic detail on everything. i saw this set and instantly bought it as JP is my favourite movie of all time. the gate was a great choice to include, though many many people have argued that a paddock escape type scene would have been better. the level of detail just on its display side is tremendous and the obverse is even more so. the rex is fantastic although i think the ball joint in its neck could have been a bit better executed, it doesn't allow it to move very well. the legs at first i was disappointed with since they cound't move and were just buildable minifig scale animal legs, but after seeing how heavy the head and tail were i feel it was an alright choice. although they could have been built with more technic like an AT-ST so it could be put in a walking or running pose.

Rated 5 out of 5 by raptorwrangler from Great Set for My Shelf I like this set a lot. My one problem is that I wish this set was at mini fig scale. It's hughe, which if great, but I really want the Original Jurassic Gate at Mini fig scale as well as some Jurassic Park Vehicles. I'm a fan of the Jurassic World stuff, but the lack of original Jurassic Sets is disappointing. This set is a step in the right direction.

Rated 3 out of 5 by HarryC from Great but... This is an awesome set but I was very disappointed that it came with the largest plate in the set bent beyond use. Also there were a couple of pieces missing. No they are not stuck in the bags or fell on the floor. Luckily I have plenty of spares being a huge collector. I don’t usually see this level of quality or lack there of from Lego. Hope it’s a one time thing.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Morange from Welcome to Jurassic Park Having not touched lego for nearly 20 years I saw this set pop up on my Instagram feed. I'm a massive jurassic park having owned the films in every medium from vhs to digital to just about anything I can find related to it When I saw this I ordered straight away. It has to be the most fun I have had with lego and restarted a love i never knew I had been missing (bought like 8 sets since) I started with the rex and just loved the scale of it to and the fact is very stable and is more suitable for being moved around or played with. I loved it so much that when my cat knocked it over I was happy to rebuild it! The gate itself is where the magic is, some parts are a little fiddly like the leaves and forna for the decoration and the constant repetition for the gate itself gets a bit old. But when you build the individual scenes from the movie its great to see it come to life. Little details like the Mr arnolds arm in the power breaker room or the broken egg shells at the top of the gate just really make this set Really hoping they make more sets in the jurassic park / world of this quality and more adult focused. Raptor paddock next, Ford explorer or lost world trailers ?

Rated 5 out of 5 by Farsider from Amazing Size and Design I absolutely love the T-Rex. Pictures do not do her justice on how big and detailed she is when done. The unique minifigures are beautifully detailed and design. The gate is a nice touch but I do wish the set could have skipped it and been a little less expensive. My nine-year-old son was so jealous of the T-Rex that we had to build him a T-Rex head out of just spare parts he had in his Lego box. :-) Keep up the great work Lego!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by MontyBeeee from Love it I love everything about this set. It’s big, colourful, entertaining and brilliant to look at. I can’t wait to buy more bricks so I can build a T-Rex family. Bravo Lego.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Dogerman from Sweet set. I agree with several other reviews that this set should not have stickers. There is also some truth to the head and neck ball joint not being strong enough to support the weight of the head. Makes it difficult to pose the T-rex properly. If they really wanted to knock this out of the park they could have included the jeep. It would’ve made it extra awesome. Otherwise great set and great attention to detail.

Rated 5 out of 5 by CamFred25 from Detailed Set - Great Value This set by LEGO is an amazing value. The T-Rex is a complete build from the ground up. The giant Jurassic Park gate is sure to surprise with the key scenes from the movie. The details and overall composition of the set make it stand out against others. It is polished down to the very details all the way through each minifigure. 10/10 would recommend to fans of Jurassic Park but also LEGO.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Powellonia from Please make more Jurassic Park sets! This set is amazing. I am not a big LEGO builder, but I LOVE the movie and when I saw this, I was over the moon. It looks so cool! Now I need a Jurassic Park Ford Explorer Lego set and Genaro, Lex and Tim mini figures so my T Rex has something to step on.

Rated 5 out of 5 by LegoFan26 from T Rex: Fully Fleshed! When I this set, I knew I had to have it. The sheer size of the T Rex was worth every penny. I will say that all the brown on brown work, did have me breaking out a brighter light and magnifying glass (especially on the gate!!!) in order to see what pieces went where. I didn't plan on building the gate with all the behind the scenes stuff, but finally did and was glad. It makes a statement all together and now that I've finished the fossil T Rex, will really be fun!

Rated 2 out of 5 by Mmoises from Really nice, but cannot play with it I bought this set for my 6 year old who is a huge lego fan and loves dinosaurs. He wanted this set since we first saw it announced. He really enjoyed building it, it was challenging for him but not so much, he did it all by himself. The issue is that he was very exited after building the T-rex and he wanted to play with it ASAP, but the legs keep falling off!!! I verified that they were correctly attached (I could hear a click when attaching them) but it happens all the time whenever he tries to move it while playing. Of course if you treat it as a delicate ornament they don’t fall off, but I mean who wouldn’t want to play with such a cool dinosaur?? He is very happy with his set but it is now just sitting on top of his big pieces table as a display only. It should definitely not be that way, I think it totally takes all of its value away.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Legojurassicfan9817 from A must have for any Jurassic Park fan This is by far the largest set I’ve ever built, it’s three times bigger than the second largest one I’ve ever built. This is an amazing set, the T. rex is huge, detailed and able to be posed in so many different ways. The minifigs are high quality. And the gates are massive and amazing with all of the scenes featured in the little cubbies. I messed up the gates a little and it resulted in the front part of the gates being pushed a little too far inward, it was far too late into the build to fix when I realized it and decided to go with it as it didn’t impair it’s looks or the functionality of the opening and closing gates. Overall the whole set is fantastic. I did end up with two of the wrong pieces though, I was given two 8 stud grey plates in the feet when I needed two 6 stud grey plates, luckily I had the needed pieces on hand.

Rated 5 out of 5 by OCDBricks from Mark Stafford nailed it! I enjoyed everything about the dinosaur - the colors, the internal surprise, I even enjoyed the color of the "fill pieces" that don't show when completed. I definitely choose my favorite sets by "color" as much as the build and this one had both visual weight and the earth tones I enjoy the most. On another note, I don't think your marketing photos capture the enormity of the dinosaur. I think strategically placing a figure on or closer to the dinosaur would attract more attention. I almost didn't purchase this set even though it was my favorite colors, because it didn't seem worth the $$, but I justified it by saying, with all those pieces, the dinosaur must be awesome and it is! The gate vignettes are also nice, but sort of same build different set. I've built a lot of houses and castles :) New favorite set. Great job. Thank you.

Rated 5 out of 5 by JennyJB from Love it! This was my first big LEGO build, and it didn't disappoint! It arrived sooner than expected, which was great. I enjoyed every step; not too complicated, yet still challenging and fun. I loved the movie scene shout outs on the back of the gate, especially the green jello and the toilet. If you're a fan of the movie, you'll be amused by the vignettes! All in all a great piece. Looks awesome on display!

Rated 5 out of 5 by Steviegee from T-Rex - The Size you always wanted! Its here the T-Rex set you always wanted since the Original Movie was released. The detailing of both T-Rex and the Enclosure Gate are excellent , with additional rooms inside the gate pylons that add quirky playability. You will love the scale of the set providing an imposing Jurassic Park Centerpiece. The scale though does provide a slight issue. We are given six great minifigs, but in real terms the gate and T-Rex are probably 50-60% bigger than traditional Minifig scale. The Red London Double-Decker Bus looks right at home going through the gate with its wheels nicely in the tyre tracks. So those fans wanting to drive their Park Tour 4 x 4s through the gate will realise the are a bit out of scale. Would I change the set scale.... no! I accept the compromise in scale to give us the impressiveness of this set overall. Plus its strangely satisfying that T-Rex can eat a minifig whole, rather than just bite off a torso. I guess that's really why the set is a 16+ ! I had an enjoyable leisurely build over two days, the T-Rex taking around 5 hours and the Enclosure Gate taking just over 6 hours.

Rated 4 out of 5 by maddyh from B+ Honestly, I was really excited to build this. Been a JP fan most of my life. The t rex is an exquisite build. However, the gate is far from that. The gate always felt like it was going to break if I moved it in a weird way. Should've been a much more smooth build considering how expensive this set is.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Rhona from T. rex rampage Absolutely amazing build. Loved bulding it, love the references to the film. The size of the set is much bigger than I thought. Obviously a huge fan of the film but Lego has not disappointed with this build at all. The T. rex looks awesome and I like the way it moves.... well done Lego, a perfect set!

Rated 5 out of 5 by EdBall from Worth it This was a fun build! The T-Rex is massive in person, can’t get over it. I only wish I had gotten this as a kid, then I’d be playing with this to no end. The gate is massive too, by far my biggest set to date.

Rated 5 out of 5 by LegosandMovies4Life from If you love Jurassic park, you will LOVE this set! I bought this set during quarantine. I had been wanting it for some time and I am happy to say that I am very pleased with it. I love the scale of it, and all the little pieces make me think the designer spent a lot of time with this set. I think the T-Rex model is excellent for playing with and using with other sets, and the gate is a beautiful display piece, and in my opinion, these two sets fully sum up the movie Jurassic Park: something fun and thought provoking that you can admire as well, so good job to the designers. My little things, if any, are that sometimes it is hard to close the gate perfectly, I also thought there may have been a bit too many extra pieces, because there are about 62 extra pieces, out of 3120, a bit too many for me, and I wish the ball joint on the head of the T-Rex was not as loose as it is, but the range of motion on the entire dinosaur is still great. Overall, a great set that I would recommend to many, because it will most likely pay off in the long run if you buy it now. Also, the box art is lovely, for those of you who like to keep Lego boxes.
