Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best Marvel bust so far So, I knew a Carnage bust was coming, but I was surprised when I saw Venom on the shelf at the Lego store. It was the last one on the shelf, too, so I grabbed it up immediately. I also picked up Carnage. Venom was the first one I built. I'm not going to do a review for Carnage. Mostly because the two builds are like, 98.5% the same. When I finished Venom, I built the majority of Carnage from memory. The build is fun. I love the way the teeth and the jaw come together. This set is vastly superior to the Iron Man helmet. And of the two, I like the Venom set better than the Carnage set. Not just because Venom doesn't have any stickers, but I've always liked Venom as a character better than Carnage. So, if you can only get one of these sets, I definitely suggest you go with Venom.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great display model This was a lot of fun to build, I loved the end product. My only complaint is placement and stability of some pieces, mainly the "eyebrows". Because they sit on a smaller pieces that is lower than the rest of the eye, they are delicate and fall off a little too easily. Overall easy fun build though!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Venom and Carnage I'm going to include my review of Carnage into this review about Venom. I would rate them the same way. Enjoyable builds and rather easy which I think is great... as long as it produces a great looking Lego, which it does. I enjoy that there are no stickers that need to be put on Venom, unlike Carnage. I personally hate putting stickers on because I suck at it so that's why I like the Venom build just a tiny bit more.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from A good build until.. Enjoyed this one. I think the head builds are getting a little easier, their fewer bags as before where it was five to six and fewer pieces to organize before building the section. I enjoyed seeing how the teeth were coming together on the mouth. I got snagged towards the end when I was putting the bottom jaw on. The two side jaws were fine and the middle was easy but when it came time to attach it to the side of the head it was very fragile, little play to adjust and disconnected. I would of built the bottom jaw as one piece (built the same way in sections) then attach it to the sides instead one side at a time. I still couldn’t figure out the green clear antenna is for on the front by the name plaque or what the clear green rods on the red piece were for. They can’t be seen and it’s not really supporting anything. Other than that it was a good and fun build.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Get the Carnage bust instead As a longtime fan of the Marvel/Spider-Man universe, I’m happy to have this Venom bust set in my collection. But as a longtime-and-now-adult fan of LEGO I’m unfortunately not very wowed by this set. The set gets a few things right in my opinion, like Venom’s snarling teeth and slithering tongue. But the lack of detail, unlike that seen in the Carnage bust set, and odd design choices (not to mention essentially copy-and-pasting the design of the Carnage set) makes the set very underwhelming. The set is just pure black! No inclusion of grotesque details like those seen in the Carnage set. My verdict: if you love the character to death, then get it, you’ll enjoy having it in your collection. But if you’re more of a stickler for good LEGO design and want a superior set, get the Carnage bust instead. I find it to be far more gnarly-looking and surprisingly charming in design even after owning it since its release.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Best Bust I got this for my Birthday and I loved building it. It looks great on my desk at work and isn't too big. Building it was a lot of fun and pretty similar to Carnage.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Worst head yet I have completed all the helms and heads from marvel and star wars. This is hands down the worst build out of the bunch. It just doesn't feel sturdy or stable the vast. Majority of the build. There is a lack of brick separator too. I was really stoked to do this one but was not impressed. The positive is that it is my favorite character they have done up to this point in the marvel universe.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Solid build I enjoy building this line of Lego. I started building about three years ago and this was the first time I came across missing pieces in my build. I was missing two of the same pieces. Luckily, it was all the way at the end of my build. So it’s 99% complete. I requested the missing parts and I am awaiting to receive those. Outside of the missing pieces it was a fun build and Venom looks really good displayed.
