Explore engineering excellence with the LEGO Technic 42083 Bugatti Chiron advanced building set. This exclusive model has been developed in partnership with Bugatti Automobiles S.A.S to capture the essence of the quintessential super sports car, and comes with gleaming aerodynamic bodywork, logoed spoked rims with low-profile tires, and detailed brake discs. The accessible cockpit features a Technic 8-speed gearbox with movable paddle gearshift and a steering wheel bearing the Bugatti emblem. Insert the top speed key and you can switch the active rear wing from handling to top speed position. The rear lid affords a glimpse of the detailed W16 engine with moving pistons, while beneath the hood you'll discover a unique serial number and a compact storage compartment containing a stylish Bugatti overnight bag. This 1:8 scale model comes with a classic Bugatti duo-tone blue color scheme that reflects the brand's signature color, and a set of stickers for additional detailing. The set is delivered in luxurious box packaging and includes a color collector's booklet with comprehensive building instructions. Suitable for ages 16+.
Rated 4 out of 5 by theYerg from Pretty Sweet Build A little bit more detailed than the GT3 build was aesthetically, but I didn’t feel like the gearbox was as tedious or painstaking. Love the color combo of the two builds together. The wing key feels a little unnecessary to me, but still cool. Much like with the GT3, I loved the presentation as far as packaging. Nice tough with putting the boxes in upside down and having a different image of the Chiron. It would be cool if the “authentic serial numbers” meant something and you could tell if you had an older produced set. Looking forward to the next super car technic build!

Rated 5 out of 5 by mtvick from Fantastic Quality! The Bugatti Chiron is very beautiful! I believe LEGO really listened to feedback on the Porsche 911 GT3 RS and created something remarkable. It is aesthetically pleasing and sturdy enough to show off. I find myself picking it up and studying it over and over. From a Technic standpoint, the new beveled clutch gear and changeover catch are going to rewrite the way gearboxes work in the future. The space they save is tremendous. From a Creator standpoint, the new elements add a refined level of detail. From a build standpoint, the instructions are very well planned. It is easy to see the level of thought and attention to detail put into every aspect of the set. Overall, it is very hard to find a fault with the Chiron.

Rated 5 out of 5 by wamtune from Mechanical Masterpiece As a mechanical engineer I wanted to take my time building this product to be able to appreciate the designers intents. I was pleased and disappointed in some aspects of the design. Positives Chassis design Gearbox Engine detail Interior detail Paddle shifting Wheels and disc brakes Rear end detail Steering detail Box layout and instructions 3599 parts for the price Negatives Can not see engine detail Rear deck will not open Too many gaps in the body detail As you can see from my list I have more positives than negatives. I can not wait for the next 1/8 scale super car.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Sultadashin from Simply Epic This is my second time building this type of supercar after Porsche 911 GT3 RS and I would say it was a bit challenging to build but learn a lot. I like how this AWD physics work and stunning set. The only hiccups I found so far is the front suspension part of this set is saggy while I’m pressing it. First I thought it could be my building error until I found from other reviews that they have the same issue as mine. I would recommend to someone who’s car enthusiast looking for better execution and interested in how this function works.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Ken278 from Brilliant engineering I agree with most of the other comments. The designers are brilliant, the concept and the building process are original and challenging. Afew things might be improved (e.g. finishing for the boot, a liftable engine cover), but all in all I think the finished product is outstanding. A warning: go slow and verify every step, you do not want to make an error early on and then find yourself having to undo 150 steps to fix a deeply buried problem. I stretched the construction over about two months, working 1-2 hours most days. (I photographed most of the steps, which took extra time, in case I made an error). My friends, children, even my wife and 5 year old grandson, are all impressed with the result.

Rated 5 out of 5 by n850gt from Awesome set, awesome subject. Lego at its best! I truly hope Lego continues this trend that started with the Porsche 911 GT3 RS. I'll buy them all. The Bugatti is incredible and a great sequel to the aforementioned Porsche. The set is well-engineered, challenging to build and it looks amazing when finished. It's almost a let down when it's complete because construction is so involved and enjoyable. I can't wait until my daughter is old enough to help me build these. A Lamborghini, Ferrari or McLaren would be an awesome next project!

Rated 5 out of 5 by Digic from The Bugatti of Lego sets. The attention to detail on this set is incredible! From the general body design to the complexities involved in the marriage process. There were challenging times while building the engine, but seeing it come together was very worthwhile and satisfying. I have many Lego sets ranging from the Millenium Falcon to other UCM's, and this is by far at the top of my list for most rewarding builds.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Robrix from SPEED KEY DESIGNED TO FIT IN BOOT !!! With all the excellent reviews already available, I thought I would share this instead. -pivot the shaft away from the key just a bit, insert key in a downward angle, and wha la! Perfect key storage. I’ve never seen this mentioned on the official site, yet it fits seamlessly as if by design. (See images)
