Developed in partnership with Corvette, this exclusive model really captures the essence of the iconic supercar and comes with an authentic orange and black color scheme, black spoked rims with low-profile tires, large rear wing and 4 tailpipes. Rated 5 out of 5 by from DEFINITELY Worth the Money This is a very cool set, with the awesome orange color, and the fantastic engine and the tiny pistons. These pistons were on the Mack Anthem though already. It is quite nice that the steering control is at the back, giving it a nice twist, plus the awkwardness of it being on top is gone. There are plenty unique pieces for a $50 set. The behind is quite weird, though, since it is kind of two squarish without curves. It's somewhat sad that there are only two features in this car, the engine and the steering; I wish there were opening doors and an adjustable spoiler or something. But those are the only cons; everything else looks super cool and awesome, and it is quite great that a brand name car is available at such a low price! I'd definitely buy it if I were you!

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Poorvette This being a licensed product, Lego had a great opportunity to do something special and instead missed the mark by a rather large margin. For a Technic set, there is very little functionality, and as far as looks, this is not close to a corvette and frankly, even in person this model is one of the ugliest lego replicas ever made. Even with the size and price limitations of the set, there is plenty of room for improvement, as adding something as basic as the doors opening would have been a positive. I have build legos for 15 years and Technic sets for 10, and I have always wanted a Lego Technic Corvette, however, as a diehard Lego Fan, this set was one of the most dissapointing.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very enjoyable build experience. I think the steering mechanism is a great idea and increases the playability although I will only be displaying the car. The moving pistons are a nice addition. I would liked to have seen the rear spoiler angled backed a little rather than standing straight up but this doesn’t ruin the look of the car. I will be buying another one of these so I can build the hot rod.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from 2019 Corvette Not bad for a 500+ pieces sport car. Orange color and V-8 hooked up to a drive train will cause the pistons to go up and down when you roll the rear tires!! Must buy for any muscle car lover !!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Rebuild Value! For reference this is my first technic build in years but I had to purchase this as soon as I saw my favorite corvette built after 1969 (stingray). When I saw the rear differential on page 1 I was immediately excited to see what internals this build had in store. The overall design of this set is wonderful with the detail in the motor really shining through. The pistons on this model actually fire and are truly unique to this set as far as I know. They are connected to the rear wheels which is a nice touch considering the zr1 is a rear wheel drive vehicle. I am also very impressed with the turning system. It adds a layer of playability aven for older builders. This set isn't visually perfect but it is always difficult to create curves on a small scale model like this one. The interior of this model is lacking slightly with only 2 racing seats and a steering wheel but I buy technic sets mainly for the mechanical attributes regardless. I also wish that the doors opened but again it is a smaller model and space is at a premium. It comes with 7 extra parts that are all small and easy to lose track of so they were well chosen and appreciated. The most unique part is the rebuild value of this 2in1 set. It can also be made into a hot rod using online instructions. These instructions are, however, not yet available in the website so I cannot yet build it. Hopefully this is fixed in the future as I am looking forward to disassembling and rebuilding this set. Overall this was one of my favorite builds in memory and I highly recommend it. I hope Lego makes more 2in1 sets like this in the future.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best $50 technic set in a while. Just picked up last night. I love the scale of this set. It comes with several new parts like the wheels, smaller wheel arch panels, new free spinning gear like the tan ones, a few rare parts and at least a dozen 3 stud closed ended axles used to make the compact V8, already have plenty of engine block parts. Its full of parts you don't normally get many of without buying the high $ sets. You won't be disappointed. Wish I had two to keep one together.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Interesting build details I always enjoy a good Technic build. Although I feel the end result isn't the most pleasing to look at, the building experience is top-notch. LEGO designers always impress me with their techniques. I particularly like the mechanism that allows the steering axle to pass through the plain of the drive-line without interference. They probably could have designed around that detail and made it simpler, but I appreciate the solution they used because it makes it all more enjoyable. I've plans to get the new car transporter (42098) set next. I see that this model can work with it just fine.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fun build Overall I had a blast building this car. It was my first Lego set since I was about 10. I had tons of star wars legos. Very easy for beginners.
