Rated 5 out of 5 by Rocket City mom from Love it! We bought this along with the Deluxe Kitchen play center for our 2 year old daughter for Christmas 2009. She absolutely loves it. She cuts the fruit apart and bring mommy and daddy a slice. We play in her kitchen with her for hours. The fruit has helped her with colors and names of the fruits. Her hand eye coordination while cutting has improved! I love how she informs me that its "Her knife" and will not hurt her, however at the table she demands we get the butter knifes away because they are not her knife and can hurt her. She puts together that they are the same, but slightly different. It has been awonderful learning toy!

Rated 5 out of 5 by Terri from Wonderful products This will be a huge hit! She got the cookie set, and when she figured out that you could slice things.....WOW! seriously she will play with this for over an hour (she is 2 1/2) My only request would be a place to purchase lost pieces....with young children pieces get lost so easy....like the icing on the cookies...we are missing 1 and she gets a bit upset when we can't find it when she puts them all together. SO replacement parts would be great!

Rated 4 out of 5 by Ashley C from Fun toy but paint chips My 2 year old daughter loves to play with this set. She intentionally pulls it out and "cuts" the fruit everyday since she received it a month ago. However, within a couple uses, the paint began to chip along the middle of the fruit. Obviously, as a 2 year old, her precision isn't 100% and the knife rubs against the surface as she's trying to "cut" the fruits in half, but I'm surprised they're not more durable.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Montessori Mommy from Healthy food play My students get a great kick out of the cutting fruit set. It not only encourages imaginative play, but it is a great way to practice practical life learning as well as hand-eye coordination needed for real cutting in the future. It is a great way to subtly encourage and emphasis healthy eating too. I just bought this one for my son for Christmas. I can't wait to see him play with it!

Rated 5 out of 5 by Laura from What fun! What fun! I think I played with it for twenty minutes before I gave it to my daughter! Such a simple concept and such a neat toy. My two-year-old daughter loves to "help" me in the kitchen, but of course, can't use knives. This gives her the chance to play along. We've also been able to talk about the concept of whole and parts and the idea of fractions.

Rated 5 out of 5 by pamela from Among their favorite go-to toys at my house These are MY favorite as well as my grandkids. Who doesn't like cutting up the realistic fruit? We have the veggie and bread set too. Makes for long play sessions of make believe and serving us food. I store mine in the original crate in a case made for scrapbooking. I think they learned what a kiwi and a lemon were from this set. Well made. Durable.

Rated 2 out of 5 by OaklandS from M&D's Worst Product Huge M&D fan... but completely let down by the quality of this product. Great ideas (as all products by M&D are) - but extremely poor quality. Velcro barely holds pieces together (They'd be better off replacing them with command strips) and our knife fell apart as we took it out of the box - not sure why they made it out of two pieces.

Rated 5 out of 5 by sharon from I would buy this product again After this gift was opened on Christmas my two year old granddaughter lost interest in remaining items. She quickly began - and repeated - the process of cutting. This item will be included with the other kitchen and cooking items that she has and is a nicely made product that has already proven to be a good addition
