Rated 5 out of 5 by Granny Jean from Much better than expected I was amazed as soon as I opened the box. It is much better quality than anything else I have purchased, even the chalk and paint trays are large and will keep their shape. My husband said it is a very clean design. I love the wood, so nicely finished, the boards both look to be very good quality, nice arrangement for paper roll. Nice that it folds up so easily, and adjust to three heights. This is for my 5-year old granddaughter who says she is going to be an artist, so this should definitely help her on her way :-)

Rated 5 out of 5 by Tiffany from Best Product I bought this last year for my 5 year old for Christmas and she has used it almost every day since! She loves to paint and draw and this is the best product with the dry erase board and paint paper and then chalkboard on the other side...I admit the chalkboard doesn't get much use plenty use of the dry erase board. I have bought another roll of paper and need a another set of paints. All in all this is a well built, durable product that will last for a very long time and best of all it was EASY TO ASSEMBLE!

Rated 4 out of 5 by Saphiel from Great product! My 3 1/2 year old daughter loves her easel! She goes back and forth between the blackboard, the whiteboard, and painting. It took my husband and I about 10 minutes to put it together, it was very simple! My only complaint is that I wished it was a little easier to fold. You have to take the paper roll off to fold it, I would rather be able to just fold it with the paper on so I could just set it back up really quick. But I highly recommend this easel!

Rated 2 out of 5 by Mary from I would not buy this product again I normally do not write reviews, however, I bought this easel last week for my daughter's birthday (now tomorrow) and the the bottom screws for both sides do not fit. I have switched boards and tried to loosen and tighten screws and bolts up to try to have things line up. Now my daughter's birthday gift will not be a birthday gift, merely with stuff that doesn't fit together...Highly disappointed. This picture is as close as I can get this together.

Rated 1 out of 5 by Erik from Very Disappointed Normally Melissa and Doug products are great. I've never had a poor experience until now. Received this as a gift. First time my 4 year old had a real chance to use it it got knocked over and one of the legs snapped in half and the basket broke off. The legs seem as though they are made of balsa wood. Not sure how long this would have lasted anyway. Guess we will never know. I'll definitely be sharing my dissatisfaction of this product with others.

Rated 5 out of 5 by miesh from love this easel my kids received this easel when my daughter was two and my son was 4 months. they are now 4 and 2 and have gotten constant use out of this. they have just started using it for painting and they have a blast. this is a great easel that is easy to use, easy to adjust, and holds up. I just moved it up to the next height level for my daughter. it's so great that it grows with them. a very good investment.

Rated 1 out of 5 by Mary from By far the worst easel I have ever used for children This easel came with stripped screws, and was not made properly to have all of the parts lined up correctly., making it impossible to be put together correctly. It is very poorly and cheaply designed and does not work well in a childcare center. We have a few in the center and they have been easily destroyed and taken apart by the children. I will not be purchasing any more Melissa and Doug easels.

Rated 3 out of 5 by Joseph from Great product but the edges were super sharp It was pretty easy to assemble and sturdy. But my four year was cutting her hand and arm up. I didn't realize that the side of the white board and chalk board were very sharp. I had to round the edges so it was safe for her to play with. Since then I haven't had any problems with it. But I think the edges shouldn't have been so sharp right out of the box, or at least had a cover for the edge.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Lisa from I highly recommend! This was a gift for my granddaughters4th birthday. Since she lives out of state we video chatted and she was so busy painting she wouldn't talk to me. Needless to say she loves it and will get years of use out of it. I highly recommend getting the accessories to go with it. That will be something I will order for her so she always has supplies to continue making her creations.

Rated 5 out of 5 by cheekyminxx from Perfect for my 2 year old We purchased this for our 2 year old. We selected this one because a friend highly recommended it. Being a stay at home mom I was looking for something to entertain my 2 year old. She loves it, I love it. The adjustable height is key. Also, the chalk board was very easy to prep. My friend thought it would take several go overs with the chalk but two times did the trick. Easy!

Rated 1 out of 5 by JonesWife11 from Buyer Beware -- Poor Quality My 4 year old received this as a Christmas gift from my mother in law. The hinges were falling off and when we tried to screw the screws back it the hole wouldn't grasp the screws. I emailed M&D and they sent us replacement hinges. Now the problem is the screws to put the thing together are not long enough. Very disappointed as we have purchased many things from M&D.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Rogan from I would definitely buy this again My son loves his new easel! It has been great for painting/ art projects. Now that we have to homeschool, it is also great for him to practice his letters, numbers and shapes. Great multi-use easel for almost all ages! Even my 12 year old likes to use it sometimes! FYI: Not hard to assemble, but DO pay close attention to the instructions when assembling.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Happy Mimi from Well worth the money I bought this for my granddaughter for X-Mas ...... she loved it! I was a bit disappointed with the erase board. You can still see what was written after you wipe it. Erase Board cleaner did not clean it 100%. Other than that I am pleased with the product. The kit was also great. Easy to put together and it is sturdy. She loves playing school.

Rated 4 out of 5 by mommy to 2 great kids from Too Attractive I think this easle was a great idea. My two kids who were 2 and 3yrs. old ganged up on it and took it all apart constantly because of the bright colors of the screws. Maybe they were just too yound and had each other in crime, but we haven't gotten good use of it because it's always disassembled. Next year maybe. But I do think it's great.

Rated 3 out of 5 by Rachel from Not what I expected Easy to assemble. Like the way it looks but disappointed with the chalk board. I also expected one side to be magnetic so you could stick magnetic letters to it (I've used other easels that have a magnetic side and thought that was standard but my fault for not clarifying). It's nice but I wouldn't buy it again, I'd try a different brand.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Lisahas2 from I highly recommend! My granddaughter absolutely loves this. She will have hours of creating on it. Her Dad and I were video chatting and he put the camera on her. She was so busy creating she barely spoke to me! I recommend getting the accessories when you purchase this. It all fits together nicely. It's also very sturdy which is a big plus.

Rated 5 out of 5 by legion1177 from Awesome!! My four-year-old daughter LOVES this thing. Since she got it for Christmas, she's spent literally hours a day painting pictures on the one side and practicing her letters on the chalkboard. It has really helped get her into working on writing letters and numbers as well as learning how to make new colors with the paint!

Rated 5 out of 5 by Mike the Uncle from Takes a beating, keeps going. My godchild's family has one of these, and I liked it so much that I got one for my niece as well. I take care of her 5 days a week, and we use it every day she's here. When her cousins come to visit, it's a centerpiece of activity for 3 young children, and it stands up to the beating. I couldn't be happier with it.

Rated 4 out of 5 by mamajo from Hours of Fun I agree that my son is facinated with the screws but he plays with it for hours. The only complaint I have it the chalk mess it leaves behind but I do not think that is something that can be fixed. If my sone uses chalk I usually have him play with it outside. It is very durable and is defininatly worth the money.

Rated 5 out of 5 by shawn from Best gift ever! I got this for my 3 year-old niece and it was a smashing success. She's spent hours drawing and coloring and being creative. It can be tricky to put together, and be sure to get the accessories kit so you have drawing/painting utensils. I'm completely satisfied and convinced that I got her the best gift ever!

Rated 5 out of 5 by mommaboo from Best purchase! We have used this almost daily for 3 years. The kids use it for drawing and painting, I teach the kids phonics and sight words on the chalkboard, and my hubby uses it to teach memory work. Its like a member of our family! We had other easels in the past, but this is by far the best one for active kids.

Rated 5 out of 5 by nmw20 from So much better than I thought I like the fact my 1 year old and 4 year old can both use it. The easel does not take up much space. There is a place for chalk, paint cups, brushes, the organization is great. It was easy to put together, the only downside is my kids can easily take it apart. Overall, I would recommend this product.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Anita from I would buy this item again Wonderful item. Pretty hard to assemble, but with patience, it can be done with the help of a second pair of hands. It would be a disappointment without the box of accessories that provide the paint, brushes, chalk, dryboard cleaner, eraser, etc. so, I'd suggest that it also be bought, if possible.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Tasha from I love this art easel I like that the supply kit is sold separately. It keeps the price affordable so I can purchase less expensive supplies. I just wish the paper roll was included as it is hard to find. My 2 children, 9 and 7 love it and so does my 2 year old granddaughter when she comes over to visit.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Cathy R from Time tested We have had this easel for 4 plus years. It has always been in our play area and has been used so much over the years. For the designed crafting, to a nice hide out, to a fancy school set up currently. It is sturdy and I really like the adjustable feature and the clips!

Rated 5 out of 5 by Jen - SAHM former Day Care Teacher from The Hunt Is Over!!! Love, love, love, this easel. Multiple activities all in one. Perfect portable organized art center. Folded foot print with trays on is 14 inches with trays removed 6 inches. Trays continue to hold chalk/dry erase markers/paint cups with lids on even in the folded position. Perks: Draw or paint for 2. Comes with paper holder. Clips hold paper in place. And bar to pin paper in place & tear it off too. Chalk board. Dry Erase Board. Trays on both sides permit 1 or 2 to paint without fights over My Red Paint Cup/Brush. Clips to hold paper in place while painting/coloring. Cons/But would happen with any easel: Not for the child who is hard on toys. If they put too much pressure on the trays (paint holder/chalk holder), they will break off. The pro is that you can call and order a replacement tray. We have had paint/creative play dates and initially our friends thought I was crazy until they saw how well it worked. We could actually talk for 10 minutes at a time instead of chasing our 2 year olds in different directions. Yes!!!!

Rated 4 out of 5 by KEISHA from Assembly Stuck This is great to help me teach my son all sorts of things, such as his ABC 's , math problems, etc...The height is perfect, for he Ian only 3 years. Assembling the items was a bit of a pain, if you follow the directions, on the second stage it doesn't work.

Rated 5 out of 5 by hope from Excellent Buy for this Easel. Great gift to give any child over the age of three that grows with them. If you have a creative child its a great gift. We gave it to my granddaughter who was four at the time she is now five. She loves it as much as she did the day she recieved it from us.
