Match and sort these 25 colorful wooden pieces, and skill-building is just part of the fun. Rings, octagons, and rectangles can be slotted onto the three rods, stacked on top of each other, or lined up to compare shapes, sizes, and colors. This first-concepts set is a manipulatives all-star! Parents and other grown-ups can help their youngsters develop strong skills by playing several games, such as removing the stacking pieces from the rods and placing them on a flat surface, and helping kids name the colors of the pieces. When they are familiar with all the colors, have them to sort the pieces by color and count the pieces in each group. Additionally, mix all the pieces together and have kids sort the pieces according to shape. This Geometric Stacker is an exceptional gift for kids ages 2 to 4 years. Add the Melissa & Doug Shape Sorting Cube to round out the hands-on, screen-free play experience. For more than 30 years, Melissa & Doug has created beautifully designed imagination- and creativity-sparking products that NBC News called ?the gold standard in early childhood play.? Today, Melissa & Doug is proudly partnering with the American Academy of Pediatrics to foster early brain development and help children build important life skills through play.
Rated 5 out of 5 by Kathleen from Wonderful toy We love the wooden toys from your company. We bought the Geometric Stacker for our baby when he was only 6 months old, and it was his favorite toy then and continues to be his favorite toy now at 10 months. He loves taking the blocks off of the pole even though he can't put them back on yet. He also loves banging together the wooden pieces and when he crawls around the house, he often has one piece in each hand and make a loud banging sound when he crawls around. Every morning I name the colors of the pieces as I put them back on the pole, and then he promptly takes them off. Thank you for providing such a colorful and fun toy for our baby!

Rated 3 out of 5 by Pmbmom from Piece split in half My two year old son received this stacker for Christmas 2015. He was playing with the stacker today when the top red octagon piece split in half resulting in a splinter! I am sure it was just a poor piece of wood, but he was upset one of his pieces broke and so I was I, because we geninely love this stacker. We love the stacker and it keeps this busy toddler entertained for long periods of time. He sits and sorts the shapes by shape and color, which is exactly why we asked for it for Christmas. It develops his motor skills and is really fun for him.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Luiza from A must have geometric stacker toy Great stacker for toddlers or individual with delays. IIs great for eye hand coordination, sequencing, color recognition, bilateral coordination, shape recognition, and etc. I wish Melissa and Dough could come up with a clear covering/lid for all there toys that include separate pieces so that the pieces are safe and secured after each use especially for traveling therapists. I hope this product last me a long time and I don lose any pieces.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Margie from Will be better for baby when she gets older. This is definitely for a toddler. It's very neat how the shapes fit together and how each column is different. That being said, it was a gift for a 12 month old and we will spend more time picking up random blocks and having to reassemble them ourselves than she will play with them. We will probably just save it for when she's a little older. I'm positive we will get a lot of play out of them, it's just a wee bit early yet.

Rated 5 out of 5 by M&D fan from My 11mo old loves this! This is a great toy. I like how the rods are the same size so any piece can be put on in any order on any rod with the exception of the 3 toppers. For my 11 month old he is just learning to get the pieces on the rod. It is not frustrating to him since they all fit. There are some sorters that only allow the shapes to go on in the large to small order. This is very durable just like all the M&D wooden classics.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Momma to 1...so far:) from He loves it! My 18 month old son started playing with this immediately and it continues to hold his attention long enough for me to get other things done. He stacks the blocks in different patterns with the three different shapes and by sizes. Eventually we will work on learning the colors also. I'm glad I bought his one over the single stacker. I feel like this will hold his attention for a lot longer.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Muse from For kids and adults I love to play with this toy as much as my kids. It appeals to the little bit of OCD in everyone. That being said, the kids love it too. It's the type of toy that I will pack up and save for my grandchildren. Great for learning shapes, colors, matching and motor skills. Use it with or without the pegs, and it's fun to put back together before putting it away.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Katie from Aunt purchased, mother approved! I gave this to my nephew for his 1st birthday (even though it suggests 2+) and he LOVES it. The pieces are big enough for him to grasp and they are unable to fit in his mouth (believe me, he tried). While he's a bigger fan of taking the pieces off, this is a toy that'll definitely be able to grow with him as his cognitive skills advance.
