Details

Giddy Up & Play invites babies to pat, pull, and even climb right on! This precious pony has rattles, textured tabs, crinkle fabric, and fringe to capture babies' attention, and plays trotting and neighing sounds when kids squeeze its ear. It's huggably soft and packed with whimsical details to engage the senses and nurture growing skills. A non-slip bottom prevents slipping and sliding. Different textures and sounds can be found all over the friendly filly, including a rubber horseshoe that clicks and turns, rattling reins, and a crinkling mane and ears. Squeeze the ear to hear neighing and galloping sounds. There are textured tabs, a zipper pocket, and a mirror to discover. Durable construction and quality materials, it?s washable and made to last for years of play.

Melissa & Doug K's Kids toys nurture early childhood development in three key skill areas: physical, cognitive, and social. With interactive designs and multi-sensory features, K's Kids promotes constructive play and effortless learning, keeping interest high and new skills flourishing throughout the baby and toddler years! Giddy Up & Play?s multiple textures and noise-making details build fine motor and auditory processing skills. Rattles, a button, and other easy-to-grasp pieces encourage hands-on exploration. A mirror engages a baby?s interest in faces and light. This toy is packed with ingenious ways to engage the senses and build important developmental skills. (Batteries are not included.)

Rated 3 out of 5 by from The animal is cute but battery housing unusable- screws The quality of this toy appears to be good. My granddaughter hasn't played with it yet so I don't know how it will hold up. I was very dissapointed in the battery mechanism. We had to damage the plastic casing for the batteries to get it open. The screws are of very poor quality. For a toy this expensive, I would recommend revisiting your supplier. We had to tape it shut and slide the battery housing back up into the toy. Hopefully my daughter will not have to change the batteries very often. If this gives us issues I will be sending it back.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Can't recommend this as an activity toy I have loved all the toys and books I have purchased from your company for my grandson except this one. It doesn't lie flat as in the photos and there is little for a 1 year old to do with it. The zipper is fine to open and close but the button has no use and there are no other features for him to play with or explore. The reins have the few beads to flip and don't know what a child is to do with the tails but count them. I have never done a product review before but had to share my disappointment with this pricey item. Would return it if I could.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Not too happy with this one... We love Melissa and Doug products, so when Santa wanted suggestions for what to get our 9 month old for his first Christmas we suggested this! This is super cute to look at, but it just doesn't do what it should for the amount of money Santa paid. I have yet to hear the horse make noise. You can feel the sound box in his head, but it simply doesn't work. My babe does crawl all over him and occasionally sits on him. For the price it's just not what we expected.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Wonderful for multiple ages A little big for my six months old grandson but he loves it and loves it when his daddy hold him on. Although he is big and quite agile, it is just too wide and two tall for his little legs. But he will grow into it and absolutely loves it. I already ordered it again for my nine-month-old granddaughter and can't wait for it to get there for her

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Her very own "Chair"!! My granddaughter cannot quite sit up by herself yet, but she's almost there! When that happens, this will be a great toy for her to sit on and be with the family. She already loves the horse's face (she pulls it toward her and hugged it) and she investigates all of the enticing attachments. It's a great addition!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Wish it was a little sturdier I was so excited to get this for my nieces - However, while they enjoy playing with random parts of it, they can't really sit on it like I'd hoped. It's pretty squishy and topples over super easily. A fun toy but I don't really think it was worth the price... So many other things from M&D I love much more.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from For the love of learning and horses! We bought this for my grandniece for Christmas. My daughter being an equestrian thought it was great! I try to give the young children in our family educational, learning and fun gifts plus the horse character is an added bonus! The quality of Melissa & Doug products is exceptional from past experiences!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I would buy it again. Also a gift for my granddaughter and I have not given it to her yet. I think it will be perfect. My hope is that she will pull herself up and on it and over and even sit on it by herself. I think she will. It's very cute. Big enough but not too big.
