Rated 5 out of 5 by from A must have for every child. We purchased this for my grandchild for Christmas when he was nineteen months old and yes I know the age group is five. It instantly became his favorite puzzle as his granddaddy patiently helped him with it. We have videos of him at twenty months putting each piece in its place. We could hand him one randomly and he put it in its place without hesitation. Guests would watch with astonishment. We have many of these puzzles and I can't praise them enough. I wish the stores would carry more of them, however, I am happy that I found them here. Happy learning and thank you so much Melissa and Doug! God bless.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Have seen better Just gave to my 6 yr old granddaughter. When placing the pieces, she was looking at the spelling and could not find "Colorado" as "Denver", the capital is listed on the board. Had to place by shape. Also - you need a zip-lock baggie to contain the pieces when not in use as they just spill out if not put into some kind of container. Wasn't thrilled with this....would have been nice if it was magnetic or at least the pieces fit together and snapped down so they wouldn't fall out.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Amazing My 4 yr old son plays with his puzzle for hours everyday. Because of this puzzle he now knows ALL the capitals. He also knows all of his states and can identify the, by shape. It is an amazing puzzle.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Unfortunate No From Me After looking closer and reading the reviews, I decided not to get this puzzle because I don't want my child confused about the smaller states on the North-Eastern coast. I was hoping to give him a head start for school but having those states lumped together can be confusing. I realize it would make for small pieces to do them separately but I feel like, educationally, it's necessary.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Overall Good Product I am using this product to teach states and capitals to my 6 yo. I was disappointed when I saw the cut lines and the state lines didn't match up, so some states are awkwardly shaped or don't match up to the shape of the state underneath the piece. I understand some states are tiny, but I would really like for each state to be a separate piece. I liked the quality of the puzzle. It is very sturdy, and I'm confident it will last through both of my kids as they learn.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fun, but educational! Just gave it as one of the presents for my 3 year old granddaughter who has mastered all her other puzzles. She loves the pictures on the state pieces showing what the state is known for. She wants to fly to Maine to visit the lighthouse ... from California!
