Rated 1 out of 5 by Mom from Good idea, flawed execution As other reviews mention, there is no built-in cover to slide on. This is an odd design flaw for a company that makes toys for toddlers. Also, as other reviews mention, there are not enough blue pegs for the seahorse. Why did you make a page that used more pegs than were included in the package? Because kids won't notice? I was hoping to use this as a task-completion activity for my students, but insufficient pegs make it pretty hard to complete the task. The third issue is probably specific to my set - I do not have any red pegs. It's a good idea but, with two design flaws that were clearly just an easy way to cut corners, I would recommend it to anyone.

Rated 3 out of 5 by Gina from Not enough pegs! My 2 year old and I loved this toy until we discovered that there aren't enough blue pegs to fill the blue holes in one of the pictures. My daughter was feeling very proud of her matching skills until she felt confused, wondering if she'd done something wrong. We spent some time searching for the missing pegs, assuming that a toy designed to teach children color sorting and matching skills would provide enough pegs to complete a picture. When we read the box and counted the number that was provided, we discovered that there simply aren't enough to complete the picture. Now, I'm all about creativity, but when a game has the word "match" in its title, I get the impression that it's about matching like colors.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Esya (urwen) from Great toy, would love to have more picture sheets for it I got this toy for my son , and I love it:) He is slowly getting interested in it too ( he is 2.3 now), but all the pictures are on the similar theme. I know he would be way more into it , if there were pictures of cars, planes, boats ets. I was even thinking of buying an expantion pack, if one exists, but i cant find any. I will try to make more of the pattern sheets myself though:0 OVer all: great tool for development, can cover a lot of diferent things in one go, and can be used in lots of games too

Rated 4 out of 5 by Caitlin from Great for a creative tot Beautiful product and great gift for a creative tot, there are endless possibilities for (quiet) fun if you have a kid who will sit long enough to use this. It reminds me of a primitive version of Light Brite or other pegboard game. I would have liked the board to be a bit more strong, it is a little flimsy, unlike other Melissa and Doug products. Also this does not come with a bag or compartment for the pegs so invest in a small bag or box or you will lose your mind looking for the pegs.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Jonathan from Love it - need more colors Great for primary color recognition, hand-eye coordination, motor skills, and dexterity in the hands and fingers. Also allows for some creative play with the buttons - although I wouldn't purchases this for a creative/imaginative toy.I just wish there were more colors available. It's such a great toy and so effective at teaching primary colors, I'd love to give this to a kid who was struggling with that and use an advanced set with more sophisticated colors and patterns.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Diane from Great for sorting! Appealing! Kids like manipulati This is an awesome toy for practicing how to sort colors. I was disappointed that only one child can play effectively with this at a time because the picture card sits within a wooden frame and there's only one frame. Melissa & Doug toys need to start considering how to modify for classroom use or if more than one child wants to play at the same time. Since teachers often use their own money to make purchases, we cannot buy more than one

Rated 5 out of 5 by Luiza from I would buy this product again Great for eye hand coordination, sequencing, bilateral coordination, dexterity, strength, color recognition and etc. I wish Melissa and Dough could come up with a clear covering/lid for all there board games/puzzles that include pieces big and small so that the pieces are safe and secured after each use especially for traveling therapists. I hope this product last me a long time and I don lose any pieces.

Rated 3 out of 5 by Joanne B from Missing blue pegs I did not read reviews before buying so I got caught with a badly manufactured toy. As others have said the seahorse picture requires 18 blue pegs but it only comes with 16! I have a dissapointed 3 year old because he can't complete his picture. I have emailed the company and I am waiting for a response. I will not recommend this product unless this problem is fixed. Otherwise it is great!
