Details

The Monopoly House Divided board game celebrates the ups and downs of an election campaign. Imagine being in the midst of it all with this exciting game for families and kids ages 8 and up. Players buy states, earn votes, and collect rent. Establish Campaign Headquarters to earn more votes. Executive Power cards and I Voted cards let players do a variety of things such as steal states or send opponents to Jail. Those lucky enough to get the White House token can double the rent they charge, and add more votes at the end of the game. When all the states are claimed, the candidate with the most votes wins!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Fast Paced Satirical Political Fun Monopoly House Divided is definitely a faster paced game than it's Monopoly counter parts! Once all of the states/properties are purchased, it's pretty much game over, which is nice because sometimes, the game lasts entirely too long! This satirical political version was a lot of fun to play and I'm definitely planning more game nights with the game. House Divided is definitely the perfect political game that won't cause an uproar among those playing with different political views, it kind of pokes fun at today's political state, and just the lighthearted fun we all need right now! Rated 3 out of 5 by from Meh? The Monopoly: House Divided is essentially monopoly with a coupe of different rules. The voting process adds a fun layer but the more we played this game the more we wondered, “who thought this was a good idea?” Buying states, red versus blue, etc... maybe if the state of the world and the country was different than it was, it would go unnoticed, but this is 2020 and it seemed a little tone deaf. The gameplay is fine, but Monopoly is already a game that can make the family fight, I don’t know that it needed this layer if they wanted to make a more fun game. Rated 5 out of 5 by from Not what we expected...ended up being more fun! At first we thought this edition of Monopoly is more political but ended up being fun! The game is slightly simplified from standard Monopoly. Instead of properties of streets being purchased, you're buying a state. As for houses and hotels, you're buying a campaign building. When you roll doubles, you can get a chance to charge double the rent on the properties you own. Campaign bus allows you to travel to a quadrant of the board to purchase unsold properties or to other locations to get away from paying rent. Game ends when all the properties are purchased, making the game end faster than standard Monopoly. A very fun game!! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Family fun and some learning Monopoly House Divided was a huge hit in my home. We played through a classic round of game play. The rules in this edition have different approaches to playing as typically the person at the end having the most money is the winner, but this goes based off votes. My 9 year old was slightly confused by this and so was my 11 year old. But after the 1st round of game play some explaining was done 2nd round was even better. Rated 4 out of 5 by from a twist on monopoly So we got this game a couple weeks ago and gave it a go. My family loves monopoly, and we have several other versions. This one was not quite as fun as some off our other favorites, but it did have a unique twist. You buy property, which has a rent value and a voter value. Add the end of the game the person with the most votes win. We had fun with it and it will be in our monopoly rotation for years to come. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Contemporary Twist On A Standard! Okay.. If you're familiar with Monopoly (Honestly, who isn't ) this just ramps it up a few notches! Used to arguing and trying to figure out how to exist with loved ones? It's elevated here. When it was just capitalism, we understood. But now with the politics?!:Get acclimated with what this game is about! Stay safe, Everyone! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A little different than the typical monopoly! Well this is very different of a monopoly game than I am used to, there are no railroads or avenues. There are states that you have to try to get, and of course the White House which my family and I found to be very fun. We love the donkey and the elephant the best. Yes we recommend because this game is fun. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
