Play-Doh How-To: make a pretend ice cream cone
So let’s roll up our sleeves and have some fun!

make the pretend scoops
Hmm, what kind of pretend ice cream do they want to make? Use all different colors of Play-Doh compound to represent different types! We chose pink and white. Mold each color into a ball, then press gently press down on the sides to create a base on each pretend scoop.

mold the pretend cone
Our cone is made of two cylinder shapes, one long and one short. The long cylinder will be the base of the pretend cone, and we made the shorter cylinder a little wider than the base to create a rim for our pretend ice cream.

stack the pretend scoops
Next, we place our pretend ice cream scoops on top of the pretend cone. Once you’ve placed the first color, hollow out the second pretend scoop from the bottom so that it fits snugly on top.

add some silly extras!
Roll up all kinds of different colors of Play-Doh compound into little balls and place them all over the pretend ice cream cone. When they’re finished, roll up some red Play-Doh into a ball and place it on top. So simple and so fun!
