As soon as we opened it he loved it, and I loved that after drooling on it all afternoon, it was easily washable. The carrier is super convenient-we took it to our small group last night and it was a hit for all of the kids from 6 months to 2 years! The mat was too small for more than 1 kid to play on (2 max if they're older and can share space rather than parallel play), but my son isn't that interested in the pretend play of it yet anyways so that wasn't a problem.
