To be able to understand why LEGO has been successful for so long, just look to the name. LEGO originally got its name from founder Ole Kirk Christiansen who combed the Danish words "Leg Got" which means "play well". He later realized that LEGO in Latin translates to "I put together." The LEGO set became a standard of creative play for children worldwide, unlocking the creativity to build vehicles, buildings, cities and more. LEGO currently produces about 20 billion LEGO bricks a year and has sold over 400 billion LEGOs in their history -- enough for every person on the planet to have over 60 LEGOs each!

One Of The Best Vehicles In Lego

      By AndrewO

      from Denver

Comments about LEGO Dino Triceratops Trapper (5885):

This is definitely one of the largest, toughest-looking Lego vehicles I have come across. It looks like it could flatten pretty much any other vehicle, and drive through a wall. I like the removable rear cage, although it's unclear how it would realistically get back onto the vehicle. Perhaps an imaginary winch? I suppose I could add a winch hook and use the Dino copter. There isn't an obvious spot for the second figure to ride on so I just have him sit up on the cage like a lookout. The various tools on the outside of the vehicle are a nice touch. If you have the option, try swapping the net from the Ocean Interceptor plane with the gas missiles on one side. It looks great!

Comments about LEGO Dino Triceratops Trapper (5885):

I bought this and discovered how good it is when I built it. Pros: Truck. Cage. Tranquilizer darts. Guns. Mini figures. Triceratops Cons: The flick missiles spin around. Stickers! Only 2 mini figures. High price. That's my review.

Comments about LEGO Dino Triceratops Trapper (5885):

      - I really like the Triceratops in this set! - One problem I have with this set is the wheels kept falling off so I had to put pieces on each wheel to keep it from falling. - I like how you can take the bed off of the truck - Nice Tranquilizing guns you get! - I like the spikes in the front. - Overall, a 9/10

      Triceratops Tractor

      By dfjihg

      from omaha

Comments about LEGO Dino Triceratops Trapper (5885):

OK, I didnt buy this set, but i built it out of my LEGO collection. I think thIs set should be about $30.00, but the play experience is epic. the trailer comes off and is actually big enough for the Tri-Horn, but is very unstable. I think that you should change a few colors to the old DINO ATTACK colors, and if you have them, use it along the Iron Predator and Fire Hammer. Pros. Great for any dinos! The greatest coolest bestest even greaterest bestest dino truck EVER! Raptors work really well! Cons. Fragile Thats it folks!!!!!

      Nice set, But high price

      By Indahouseyea

      from Cumbria

Comments about LEGO Dino Triceratops Trapper (5885):

As soon as I saw this set existed, I knew I had to get it. So I got it for my birthday. The set is rather small for the forty pounds, but the money was worth it. So lets skip to the pros and cons Pros: Triceratops The vehicle The minifigures The cage Cons: Stickers Easily scratched (Like when I made the car smash into a pile of LEGO bricks, Some of the car's paint came of, but only a tiny bit) Only one seat When you try to flick the missiles, the thing there in just spins around That's my review finished!

      It Grows on you.

      By oliseo

      from Sale

Comments about LEGO Dino Triceratops Trapper (5885):

I'm a parent of two children, who used to love lego as a child. My eldest is six, and I bought him lego city. But he wasn't interested, much to my dismay. However, today I was out and I saw this new Lego Dino. It's not his birthday, It's just gone Christmas, but I thought the set looked awesome. So I just bought it on a whim. We have just spent a good 3 hours building this. And to his credit, it did build it entirely himself, so I would say the age is absolutely appropriate. It had gone past his bedtime by the time he finished. So if you have a six year old, you might want to allocate this as a Saturday build instead of a school night. Because although it's easy to build, there is a lot to the build. But he absolutely loved it. The detachable cage is brilliant and adds to the play factor. The tool holders on the side of the vehicle are brilliant. And the Triceratops is a great toy in its own right. The little daggers on the front are made from soft plastic, and are bendable, so no-one is going to get hurt by them. Once constructed it's quite sturdy, so no tears because things are falling off. When it was built, I was like... Um... All that time to build that. But I'm sat here now, and I have to admit, it does look really cool. If I were six, I would want to stay up as well and play with it. It's a bit pricey. But the play factor makes up for that. As it's already been mentioned, if the cage didn't come off, I wouldn't have bought it. Because the cage comes off, and it's quite sturdy, you can put other dinos in it, and you can put other things in it. And it makes for great role play. A really good product. I just wish it would have come out BEFORE christmas in the shops. Very impressed with the 2012 range.

      Triceratops+Truck= Epic Win.

      By Pickachu2193

      from Undisclosed

Comments about LEGO Dino Triceratops Trapper (5885):

It wasn't the truck that compelled me to buy the set. No, it was the herbivorous dinosaur, triceratops. Finally, a herbivore to challenge all those carnivores we have, and have had (referring to lego dino attack). True the set is a bit pricey, But grabbing a triceratops was totally worth it.
