I liked the appeal of the height ajustment since my son is almost 4, so this system will grow taller with him. The directions were clear except for how to tighten the bolts, which seems like common sense and I am pretty good with putting things together, but it was very awkward since the bolts were not long enough. The directions did not include any information on how to adjust the height, but after analyzing the actual pieces, I was able to figure it out. Now that the system is together, the net/backboard leans pretty far forward at an angle that makes it seem like it is going to fall over. There is no way to adjust that part. I purchased (separately) a youth basketball, and it gets stuck in the net. It clears the rim, but does not fall through the net on its own, which is irritating. When my son gets the ball in the net, the net/backboard arches down even farther, which makes it seem like it's going to fall over and I have the base filled to the top with water. My son seems to like it, but it's new and he's 3...he likes almost everything! I hope this system lasts!
