Alex's Lemonade Stand Foundation (ALSF) started as a front-yard lemonade stand hosted by four-year-old Alexandra "Alex" Scott, who was diagnosed with cancer just before her first birthday. Wishing to help doctors find a cure for pediatric cancer, Alex held her first lemonade stand in 2000, raising $2,000 in one day. She continued to host lemonade stands every year thereafter, even as she faced illness and difficult treatments. In 2004 at age eight, Alex lost her life to cancer, but not before she helped raise $1 million to help find a cure for the disease that she battled bravely for so many years.

Through one little girl's inspiration, ALSF was formally established as a charitable organization in 2005 by Alex's parents, Liz and Jay Scott. The Foundation continues to encourage children nationwide to work toward Alex's dream of a cure for all children with cancer.

Toys"R"Us, Inc. is proud to partner with ASLF for the third consecutive year to help raise awareness and funds for the organization and their mission to find a cure for childhood cancer, one cup at a time. Since the partnership began in 2011, donations from Toys"R"Us customers, Toys"R"Us, Inc. and the Toys"R"Us Children's Fund have provided nearly $4 million to the organization.
