The man that said this is a menstrual pad, is WRONG!!!!! I have tried menstrual pads before, when I couldn't get the booster pads, and because menstrual pads do not flow thru they do not work. My little guy started sleeping throught the night at 2 weeks, but then started waking because he was drenched, now at 3 he still drenches a pull up and I have to use 2 pads per night to keep him dry and asleep. These pads are a god send for parents that want to sleep, not change diapers and sheets because of a soaked diaper in the middle of the night! They are meant to boost the diaper, hence the name, not be used with undies, as they will flow thru!

After weeks of nighttime pee-throughs, I was thrilled to find this product. At first they seemed to work reasonably well. My son's diaper seemed to weigh an extra three pounds, but his pj's were dry. Then we had a couple issues with leaking out the sides. At the same time, my 13 month old got his first diaper rash--the kind that made him scream and cry in pain during every change. It lasted for two weeks on and off and only went away for good when we finally made the connection to the booster pads. I felt awful for not making the connection faster. Within two days of stopping use, his rash cleared up and has not returned. My son does not have otherwise sensitive skin or allergies. However, I gave the remainder of our box to a neighbor, and her son has not had any issues. I suppose I would recommend giving them a try but keeping an eye out for irritation.

We have been using these booster pads for my son for years. Now that he is older but still uses diapers, the pads really prevent leaking day and night!! They don't cause a rash or irritation and we can't be without them!

My son is a heavy wetter. A close fried mentioned she used this pads to add to her daughters diaper. I purchased a small pack and tried it out. Right away we noticed a difference! Almost 2 years later we still use this product! A negative about the liner is making sure the position of it in the diaper. If it's pushed to much forward the urine can leak out the top.

This product is a life saver. My little boy >2 used to wet though the diapers (even the overnight ones) every time. With this insert, it has cut that down to once a week. Its such a simple idea, and it works so well, we use regular diapers at night again. Soft to the touch, and super absorbent, this thing works great. I was buying them in the small packages, but I found the bulk pack on the Babies R us Website, and picked those up to save on the purchase price.

Such a simple idea once you think about it. But I have yet to find another brand or type. It's basically like a sanitary pad without the protective lining. So liquid collects and the excess moves on to the diaper. It's another layer of absorbing material you add inside the diaper.

Comments about Select Kids Baby Diaper Booster Pad - 180 Count:

This pad is very absorbent and holds a lot of fluid. For us It didn't work that great just placed in the diaper like you would think it goes, but (please forgive as I explain in detail) as our child lies down with his wee wee pointing towards his navel, we place the pad under the wee wee and then wrap each side downward over and around the wee wee and then close the diaper. The diaper holds the pad in place and causes almost all of the urine to be absorbed into the pad. Sometimes we are even able to use the diaper more than once because it stays dry - but more importantly we don't have to change his wet clothes nearly as often and urine doesn't get on items where he is sitting or lying as often. This method obviously wouldn't work for a female the same way. It really has worked great for our situation.

My 10 year old daughter has special needs and requires a pull-up. Believe me, when a 10 year old urinates, she urinates! Thanks to these pads, my daughter is spared the embarrassment of leaking! Fantastic! Maxi pads do not do what booster pads can! A++++!

When my son was a between 18 and 24 months, he started leaking through at night every night. We tried to change him in his sleep at 11 or midnight and he still occasionally wet through. Since we started using Huggies overnights in a size bigger than his norm, plus adding these diaper booster pads, he hasn't wet through! It has been almost 6 months. If dehydrating your kids before bed isn't your favorite option, these work great to catch the excess overnight pee. One con is that to take them with you, they are not individually wrapped, so not as sanitary.
