Beautiful Barbie!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] As an educator of students with special needs, I thought the idea of creating a Barbie with Down Syndrome was amazing and much needed. After receiving this product, it is even better than expected. This Barbie is strong and appears to have confidence. She rocks her orthotic leg braces like a champ. I’ve enjoyed the dialogue this Barbie opened up between my children and myself. This Barbie is in their normal rotation of toys, and my family is all impressed with this toy. I cannot wait to take this Barbie into the classroom and share with my students with Down Syndrome.

Down Syndrome Doll
I am looking forward to getting this doll for my granddaughter as when I had cancer in 2017/2018 Mattel came out with the doll that had cancer and the hospital that I was getting my chemo at had just gotten those dolls in. I was the first on to receive that doll for her. I am looking forward to this doll as Aubs is Down Syndrome and I know it will please her to have a doll with her special needs also. She often talks about the other Barbie and plays with it. It will be special for Grandma and granddaughter. Thank you and looking forward to its release.

Beautiful Down Syndrome Barbie
I bought this for my 8 year old daughter who has Down syndrome. Thai doll is beautifully made. The eyes, nose, and mouth are very similar to my daughter’s. Thank you for making a doll my daughter can relate to.

Fabulous Inclusion
I am as mother to an sweet, loving daughter daughter who happens to have Down Syndrome. I cannot wait to to buy this for her.! She will love it! Everyone should be able to see themselves and be represented, now she will be. Thank you Mattel I am so happy I am crying.

A Very Special Barbie
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] When my 4 year old first saw this Barbie, she said “she looks different.” This opened the door to a great conversation about people who look or act different than us, and not just people who have disabilities. It’s easy to tell this doll is not like the traditional Barbie. I love the body shape, I don’t think I’ve ever seen a Barbie whose thighs touch together, I appreciate the more true to life shape of her figure. Her hair was tightly tied down with a rubber band, which ended up leaving some marks on her hair & making it a bit messy when undone, otherwise she looks great. I also really like how her leg braces are attached to her shoes, making them easy to put on & take off. Love the representation of people who may look special or “different” than us!

Barbie with Down Syndrome.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I got a special Barbie with Down Syndrome I’m a teacher of students with special needs and this was a very unique barbie. The Barbie is beautiful. I am thrilled that Mattel has made such an inclusive doll. I was so happy that my children didn’t “comment” negatively about this Barbie they were thrilled to add it to their collection. It was a great opportunity for me to explain to them what she stood for and why she looked a little different than other Barbie’s.

NDSS beautiful Barbie
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Difficult to remove from packaging. Biggest issue: the plastic tag/tab fastener was directly into her head to hold in place to the cardboard. It was very tight & some hair was lost to cut it And tabs stuck into head that had to be cut further.
Why does she have leg braces? Just sneakers would have been great.
Positive: very pretty doll with a more realistic body image. Like that her arms are ball jointed so they can move more life like.

Best Barbies around!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] ABSOULTELY LOVE THIS BARBIE SERIES! This is Mattels first Barbie with Down Syndrome! She may look different from the rest, but she still has moveable arms and legs, as well as interchangeable clothes just like all Barbies do! The fact that a Barbie with Down Syndrome is being well represented is awesome! My boys love the inclusive Barbie series, it helps to teach them that it's okay to be different! Highly recommend this doll to any child!

Nothing special to hold girls' interest

Great discussions

It led to us having meaningful discussions about children with disabilities and how they are just like us. She really likes the doll. I did not get to take a picture with her as she went home to New York before I thought of taking her picture with the doll.

As a DSP who works closely with many clients of different ages, with various IDD's, I ABSOLUTELY LOVE THIS BARBIE!! I saw the pre-release, watched as everywhere online sold out. FAST! I just happened to check my local Walmart, and I FOUND HER!! The only one, just sitting there, waiting for me to find her. If you're lookinf for #208, check Walmart!!
