Hours of fun with hair accessories
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My girls are loving this Rapunzel doll! They think the little Pascal is the cutest thing and are obsessed with him. They love the pink and purple clip on extensions and the pop of color they add to Rapunzel’s already gorgeous locks. The barrettes are holding up better than I anticipated, but the sponge is already struggling with maintaining its integrity.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My 3 year old loves doing hair. Doll hair, her hair, really any hair she can put into a ponytail. So this doll is well loved. It allows her to style it again and again. The only thing that is difficult for my daughter is opening some of the included clips. But, I think with use, they will become easier to open. Overall, this toy is a winner at our house!

Mother Knows Best: this toy is adorable
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My child was SO EXCITED to play with this Rapunzel doll. The facial features are movie accurate and we appreciate the design details on the torso. The sponge provided didn't provide much of a "wow" factor when using warm water. We brought the color changing hair pieces to the sink, ran it under hit water for a second, and it changed colors instantly and dramatically. Very cool effect. The pan/brush combo is very cute. I'm only giving 3 stars because the color changing hair extensions fell apart quickly. The hair ties keep them together so you just have to be aware and careful. However, even after the main feature was not working, my child loves this toy and is still playing with it daily. The hair quality is surprisingly good! I'd still buy this as a gift, just with a little disclaimer to the adults to make sure the hair ties stay in place.

They had multiple hair clips to stylevher hair and when they realized it came with two color changing hair peices that put them over the top!! They love colored hair peices but to have colored color changing peices was amazing!

Long locks of fun
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My girls love styling Rapunzels hair. The hair is so long they each get a section and there is plenty of pieces to share. They use this doll with their Barbie house and Barbie camper too. Regular Barbie clothes fit on her too. My girls are 9 and 6 and they love doing different hairstyles.

Love the extras!

My daughter loves this style doll and it is a good complement to others she has, but fun that it comes with extra accessories!

Fun for hours!

But the fact that her frying pan doubles it has a hairbrush just the cutest detail I’ve ever seen. We just love that you can use the hair clips for the doll and your child.

Beautiful Princess Doll
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The age range for this beautiful Disney Princess is 3+ so I knew my four year old granddaughter would love her!
She was so excited when I gave her this doll. She exclaimed “This doll is so beautiful! She is my favorite!”
I had a hard time unpacking the doll and the hair extensions and the barrettes.
Before I could even show her the hair extensions and the fact that they change color, she grabbed Pascal and then ran off and said she was going to show her to all of the other princesses that we have.
Rapunzel comes with 15 accessories.
A crown, 2 long colored hair extensions that change color when you expose them to warm/hot water with a snowflake shaped sponge, a hair comb shaped like a frying pan (cute), Pascal, and 9 additional barrettes to style her beautiful long blonde hair.
The doll has a removable skirt and a plastic non removable bodice. The permanent puff sleeves make it difficult for her to wear other princesses clothes. The arms move at the shoulder but do not bend at elbows.
The legs are stiff and do not bend at the knees. Her feet are flat straight she cannot wear other princess shoes
It was hard to open the hair-clips and to close them when clipping the hair strands on. It was also difficult to get the sponge warm and less drippy to change the hair strands color. We thought it was a cute idea, so we just ran them under warm/hot water to change the color.
My granddaughter played with her for at least an hour. I am keeping the clips and hair extensions separate.

Rapunzel Doll Is Just OK
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My five-year-old granddaughter is crazy about princesses. The minute I saw Disney’s Rapunzel Fairy-
Tale Hair Doll by Mattel, I thought it was something she would love: shimmery gown, crown, and long hair with extensions that change color. She was excited but the unboxing took forever, so the excitement wore off quickly. As usual these days, toys are not packaged to easily open and this toy was no exception. Once the box was cut open, there were dozens of tiny rubber bands to snip off.
After we got everything taken out of the box, she did love the long, soft hair. She saw the movie, “Tangled”, so she was familiar with the character. I thought the hair should have been even longer, but my granddaughter was fine with the length.
There were plenty of accessories including a sponge, hair clips, two hair extensions that change color from purple to pink and pink to blue, a frying pan hair brush, and Rapunzel’s best friend, Pascal.
After reading the directions we got a bowl of warm water. The sponge was of little use, so we just dipped the hair extensions into the water. We liked doing partial coloring, with the color lasting about one minute before changing back to the original color.
On the box, it says the doll is for ages 3+. If a five-year-old can’t open the hair clips, I don’t see how a three-year-old could, plus the clips are small and easy to lose. I had to pop open every clip and they were difficult to attach to the doll’s hair.
Why is Rapunzel’s top permanent, but the skirt removable? And there were no shoes. Pascal, who is a chameleon, remains green. It would have made sense to me to have the chameleon change color too.
My major beef with these types of dolls, where you can style their hair, is that it is too difficult for a child to do it one-handed. It would be so helpful to have the doll in a stand to stabilize so a child can style the hair with both hands. After 10 minutes, my granddaughter was not interested in playing with the doll. If only those hair clips were usable, maybe she would have enjoyed the experience more. I was disappointed in this toy for her.
However, after my negative experience, if you have a child who is old enough to play with small items and loves to collect these princess dolls from Disney, then it’s a good toy. Rapunzel is reasonably priced and found at major retailers.
