Rated 5 out of 5 by from Ice Cream week and Math in one This is a great activity for kids to reinforce their counting and numbers 1-10. The bottom half of the popsicle has dots for kids to count. The top half of the popsicle can be used in two ways; keep the number and number word together to be matched to the dots, or for more of a challenge, cut apart the number from the number word. (see bonus learning below) Kids can practice counting, matching objects to the correct number and learn how to read number words. Such a cute fun way to practice counting and number recognition! My pre-k class loves this in our math station. Great for my small groups as well. The one thing I do wish is that is was self correcting. Maybe different shapes per ice cream. It is very simple to add the covers over the ice cream and not match them for my younger 2 and 3 year olds. The other concern is that it only goes to 10 and I would have loved 11-20 as well I can also use this during my "Ice Cream" themed week. I am always looking for new ways for children to practice the ten frame dot patterns and this is so appealing to me over all .
