He loves dinosaurs and wanted to play with it immediately! We took the pieces off together, and I just let him play with it. He started to easily put pieces in until the outside slots where they were more of a challenge. He did get distracted easily from other things, but came back to it a lot. He has an armadillo just like it (same company), and loves it so much he's lost several of the pieces, so this made him very happy! I love the numbers on the spikes too!

It has a storage door so pieces can easily be stored inside. The size of the pieces is perfect, but I did notice that some were a little tough to get in the slot (even for me to do). I do wish the pieces were solid plastic so they'd be easier to clean. The hole in the bottom prevents them from being able to be soaked (water could get inside causing mold growth). But everything is able to be wiped clean. The colors are bright and the numbers are easy to read. Overall, would recommend.

First off, the bright colors are very appealing. My son loves starting with one color and going to the next. Each spike also has numbers on it so you can ask them to find a specific number to put in. There are so many different ways to learn. The spikes are someone challenging to put in the hole so my 2 year old has to use fine motor strength which was important for me. The only challenging thing we have found so far is the opening in the back to put all the spikes in is difficult to open for a child. He has to bring it to me in order to do the activity. Overall this is a great educational toy once again from Learning Resources!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Roarsome learning I got this for my two year old who loves dinosaurs. Lots of ways to play, he is very into counting at the moment. So he arranged the spikes and counted each one placing them in. Great for younger ages, as it teaches fine motor skills. The spikes are nice and chunky for small hands. As my son grows we can play using colour recognition, for example 'put the yellow one in the front row'. Or by number recognition, 'find me the number 4'. Having read some of the other reviews on here I agree the door which holds the pieces inside is a bit tricky to open and close. But it does mean all the pieces stay safe. What could make the toy even better would be some dinosaur sound effects when placing the spikes in its back! But still a bright and colourful dinosaur.

We opened it and the instructions were very easy to read. She was excited to play with it and use it in the ways that the instructions suggested. She has been playing with it everyday since we received it. She loves counting out the numbers and putting them in order and by color. She is autistic and this toy definitely catches her attention by the vibrant colors. Definitely recommend.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Cheap toy [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] As first glance we thought it was an adorable learning toy that comes with storage for the loose pieces. But quickly learned that the door is hard to snap shut even for an adult. My toddler eventually pushed too hard and the door pushed inside of the storage and is now not usuable. I am happy we didn't purchase this item.
