Rated 5 out of 5 by from Almost Great Pyramid It looks great, very striking and imposing and overall was a great build. I think the base design and build, especially in the early stages was a bit fragile/frustrating. However, once this was put together the overall model was very solid/satisfying. One other note is that the large image on the inside of the instruction booklet is not the Great Pyramid but is the Pyramid of Khafre.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Should NOT be part of the Architecture Collection Don't get me wrong, this set is stunning when completed. It looks so good! BUT... it doesn't fit with the general aesthetic of the rest of the Architecture Collection (unless Lego is now changing it completely?). This one stands out. It's simply too big. I feel there are not enough details and no finesse; the pieces are mostly big and bulky... It is also way too easy for an adult set; so much repetition and identical pieces! It took us little very little time to complete… First time we're disappointed by a set since we started building as adults (almost 10 years ago!).

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A sumptuous labor of love It's hard to put into words, but you can just tell the absolute care and detail put into not just the look and shape of the pyramid, but the entire experience of building it. Every stage was not just perfectly crafted but intellectually fascinating to put together. Architecture sets often suffer from tedious and repetitive building processes because buildings are often quite large and thus quite repetitive. To my shock and disbelief, the Pyramid entombed this stereotype. I genuinely cannot imagine ever having -fun- putting together an architecture set, but this was one of the best builds of any lego I can remember

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Pyramid - recommend getting 2 rebrickable (MocScout - which is not me) has a mod that uses ONLY the parts in 2 sets to build a full pyramid, and it is easy to follow and looks great! I highly recommend investing in a second set to make a full pyramid, as it look fantastic (although it is large)

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fun…..but buy two….. It’s just not the same without a complete pyramid. Treat this like it cost twice as much and buy two. Well, I guess it does, then. It always amazes me to hear someone talk about repetitive build when critiquing a structure. Most builds in the architecture series are going to be repetitive. Some, unnecessarily so like the large Eiffel Tower set. But most are just the nature of the subject’s design. Most architecture subject matter is like a Ninjago building. Anyway, I really like the build and the finished product.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fantastic Pyramid This was my first Lego set. I bought it to use in my classroom. It was so easy to build. The directions were so easy, full of pictures, and step-by-step directions. It looks incredible. It was worth the price. I will definitely buy more Lego sets!

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Needs some work Just wish there was an option to buy the other half. So you don’t have to buy the set twice and have extra pieces that you don’t need. That way could make it cheaper for the other half

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Gorgeous display set As an adult Lego collector, I'm a big fan of the Architecture line, and the Great Pyramid of Giza set makes for an especially excellent display piece. Adding the little portion in front, with the river, greenery, and boats, elevates the piece beyond looking like just a static model and makes for a far more dynamic, visually engaging display. It was also a pretty fun build, which is always nice. I know some wish that it had been a complete pyramid, but I actually like it as-is: keeping the flat back up against a wall makes this much easier to display than it would be otherwise.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from so fun to build and show off, great detail i know some people didnt like that this set is half a pyramid, but tbh i ended up liking it that way because it’s much easier to display, especially with so much already occupied by my lego colosseum. plus the tunnel detail in the back is sick. i love the houses, boats, and inside construction details so much, everyone i show agrees. though i wish my cats would stop attacking the boats. very fun to build, the outer shell was especially satisfying. i was obsessed with pyramids as a kid and this brought both my inner child and current self a lot of joy

Rated 4 out of 5 by from C+ But C’s get degrees It’s cool. It could be a lot cooler… Very repetitive building instructions. It seems very thrown together and basic. I would’ve appreciated more detail and more features. It looks cool on display, but the closer you get, the less exciting it gets.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love it As someone who loves Egyptian Mythology, artifacts and Museum exhibits. And Playing video games that have Egyptian levels, or based in. Tomb raider, or Assassin's Creed Origins for example. When I learned Lego has announced this set I couldn't wait to get it. It was a fun build, spent roughly 8 hours on it. I don't mind it being a half pyramid. The back side is cool to see. It was worth the money.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome build great fun This was my first Architecture set, I bought it because I love Ancient Egypt and had always wanted to do a Architecture one but couldn’t afford the sets that I wanted then I found this and it was a good price. This took me about 6.5-7 hours to build last night and enjoyed the entire experience. I love the way it comes apart and the way it shows the interior from the back side. I will definitely be buying more architecture sets in the future mostly I’ve focused on the Technic car sets but I would 100% recommend this to anyone.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Lovely I purchased this set mainly because of a childhood fascination with Egypt, and I can't say my inner child was at all disappointed. In addition to the beautiful pyramid itself, and outside decoration, the set's building instructions include interesting information about the history of the pyramid and the significance in Egypt. These facts are engaging for children and adults. I would say my only problem with the set is the price, but I feel like it's still worth it. Overall, I love this set and would absolutely buy it again.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from yes it's half a pyramid, so what? Loved this set. I do understand the 2 commons complains that it's half a pyramid (which I liked) and that the external shell is boring to make. But it's a scaled down pyramid, how exciting could it have been to build that shell? Otherwise, I had a ton of fun with the interior construction, and the overall look. I love that it's not just one big plate underneath but slowly build your own base plate. I was missing two non structural pieces and file a request for the, but otherwise I had a great time building it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Architectural Wonder This set is a great showpiece and an excellent build. One of my favorite techniques was the use of grill pieces in the little houses next to the Nile.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best architecture set so far I love this set. It was a fun build, not overly complicated. This set is beautiful. I wish it were bigger.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Astonishing Model This is an astonishingly build -- I am so impressed with the detailed chambers, passageways and attempts to explain the original Egyptian build process. Half a pyramid? No problem -- we can see everything. And for those who don't like having to choose between English and Hieroglyphic nameplates, all one has to do is to put a plain black edge piece in the middle and place the two nameplates to either side. Perhaps the most beautiful architecture model to date.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Historical piece [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Hi, I bought this item for my History Class for my students when we covered Egyptian life. However, for me, this historical piece is useless because it does not represent the actual depiction of the historical landmark. Actually, in Egypt, we can see three little pyramids instead of the two you guys built in this lego set.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Difficult building Instructions This set took way too long to build not because of my building skills, because of the instructions and the overall structure. This caused me back pain while building and it was very difficult and too very long. Please review the instructions or make it an easier structure because this build ruined my whole mood when building on my birthday !!!!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good for adults As an older person I like to do other things than watch tv. This pyramid was bought for my husband and myself to work on together. Bad weather will be here next week and this will be our entertainment. I appreciate everyone who worked on this item, and hope to do more in the future! Thanks to everyone!!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Could have been better I really like this set, however, it was a disappointing build. Half of the build time was spent on the scenery (river, trees, workers' village). I liked how the pyramid had the outer casing and cross-section model. I also liked the custom hieroglyphic plate, however, I did not like that it was interchangeable with the English plate. I modified it so that the English and hieroglyphic plates could both fit on the model. There are over 50 trees, over 10 river plants, 11 workers' houses, 3 simplistic sphinxes (not sure why there are three), 2 mortuary temples, 2 boats, 2 small pyramids each with a sarcophagus, and 1 obelisk. I would have preferred less detailed scenery and a few more custom pieces, such as Khufu's sarcophagus and/or Sphinx. Please note the "sarcophagus" included was a dark grey ingot piece (6331866) and dark grey 1x2 plate (4211063). Lastly, as others have pointed out this set only has half a pyramid. So, if you want to build a complete pyramid, you need to buy two sets. It would be nice if you could buy just the pyramid without the scenery.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect set This set is amazing! The build is varied, with tons of different brinks in lots of color. The final product is sturdy, beautiful, and actually quite informative. This is definitely my favorite set out of the hundreds I've built.
