Rated 5 out of 5 by from Lots of interesting detail I built the main build of the this 3-in-1 set about one month into my Lego journey. I especially like how the castle folds into a square and latches together to form a square building. The waterwheel, banners and flags are favorite details. I read about so many people buying three and four sets to make MOCs and decided that I may want to do this, too. So I purchased two more sets. I built the tower and trebuchet alternate build to go with the main build for the time being. I'm going to need more minifigures and some horses to go with this set.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Built by a 7 year old [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My 7 year old son built this by himself. It took him a few days, but he loves legos. This is his 3rd creator set. He also has a pirate boat, and a ferris wheel. He has not tried to build the other items yet. He had started off building small kits by himself and has gotten better with the larger kits by himself.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Connect them all! (Expensive but worth it!) My son is a preschooler and we LOVE this build. But we also want all of the builds so I did what any fanatic would do, I bought three of them (and spent all of my extra money for the month, but so worth it!). We haven't yet put the third one together (we're leaving that as the castle) but we have the tower and the wall builds and have connected them via the connectors on the ends. Now I know connecting the castle to what we have won't create a legitimate keep-like rectangular structure but really what we're going for is maximum playability. Granted as a hobbyist builder, if this were mine (rather than for my son) I would shout that I do want a huge ginormous lego keep with a castle and a moat and a tower and everything walled off! But alas, from the parent's perspective, I LOVE that we can combine it all and then remove it (over and over and over again, lol). It's also gorgeous and there's a lot of little fun things all over. One issue: not quite sure why the standalone dragon is there. I would have liked to have another fun castle room or attribute rather than the dragon but I get the idea!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great build, exceptional value This would be a great kit for the money if the only set was the main build. But with the two other, smaller builds, including a working counterweight trebuchet, birds, dragons, hidden chambers, and lots of other wonderful details and discoveries, I would be hard-pressed to name a Lego set with more value for the dollar. I'm now more excited to get into the Pirate creator set for the same reasons. If you're on the fence, get it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best Castle Lego Set My 9 yr old son loves this Lego set! He got it for Christmas and built it the next day. I grew up in Germany and was talking about castles and toilets. Anyone else see the toilet?! Out of 34 pages of reviews, not one person mentioned the toilet!!! And roll of toilet paper! 😂 The details and lots of fun spots in the castle, but the toilet is awesome! Accurately designed! Well done Lego!!!! I wonder how long they’ve been waiting for someone to share the roll and hole? My son loves it even more after I pointed it out.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Unacceptable Open Bag and Missing Pieces I just received this set recently and was really excited to build it as a long time castle fan. But, when I opened the box there was a plethora of loose pieces at the bottom. This could be forgiven, if when building I ran into no problems. This was not the case. The first bag I opened (Bag 1) was already missing the mini-figures head and helmet! This is unacceptable. I was really looking forward to build this. Instead, now I am going to have to go through support and make a case. This was not the building experience I was looking for.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good set, almost great This is a great set, hopefully, we see more castle sets in the future (we desperately need sets with an antagonist for the Black Falcons). Bit of a mistep including a pirate looking figure instead of another night or king/queen.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Set! As a middle age person who grew up with the 1980's and early 1990's Castle Lego sets, this new castle was an exciting find. I love the Black Falcons, and the 3n1 aspect of this set reminded of the alternate builds Lego would put on set boxes way back in the day. This is a great set as is, but offers so many alternate build ideas. Great colors and minifigures. Absolutely love this set, and it is a tremendous value for all the building fun. Pairs nicely with the new Lion Knights castle, too.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very Creative [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I'm so impressed with the Lego Medieval Castle. This is the second Lego set I've ever done and I'm so impressed by the details and creativity in this set. It did take me a few hours to put together but it was well worth it. The easy to follow colorful instructions are a big help along with the Lego tool that helps with removing a lego if you mess up which I did a few times. This set is a 3 in 1 set so you can do different builds my favorite is the castle. The drawbridge actually can be moved up and down as well as a water wheel that turns and moves a hammer on a sword. This set is awesome I love how you can open it up for play but it also closes up to make it look like a court yard. I love the Lego Dragon that comes with this set. I'm really impressed with the Medieval Castle the only thing that I would recommend is add a horse and a king to this set. I think I'm hooked I'll be buying more Legos in the future.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Missing pieces again Lego won't post my reviews. Missing 3 pieces from this set from the very first bag. I get it, everybody and every company makes mistakes. That's fine. But don't purposely leave out the bad reviews. Just own up to it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Such a fun build [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have eight-year-old twins that have gotten me into building with LEGO with them. I'm also a big fan of history, particularly the Middle Ages and royal history. When I saw this LEGO set I was immediately excited because it would be something that would challenge me while also combining other interests that I have. I struggled with a few parts, but the details are so much fun, and the final product is absolutely awesome!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nostalgia in a box [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I always loved the medieval castles from my childhood. Now I can share the look and feel with my son! This castle does not disappoint. From a water wheel to a catapult, we love it and will continue to build and rebuild. Love the 3 in 1 idea!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Fun to Build wish it had one more mini figure This set is very very good. It’s such a good looking little castle with some cute elements. My only complaint is it’s a castle with out a Lord or King/queen. It needs one more figure. It has the throne room for it even. Still a great set

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love the throwback to the old sets [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] When I was growing up, my Lego line of choice was the medieval sets. Seeing this new offerings brought me back to those years. I like that it used many features of the older sets while adding plenty of new/fun updates. The fact that it is a 3-in-1 set is awesome, so one box can give you multiple looks. The dragon is a fun figure option, and I love the drawbridge and water wheel!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fantastic set [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received the medieval lego set in the mail about a month ago . This was a fun project for the whole family to do at the dining room table . Each person had sections they worked on . Then in the end with the 4 of us , we were able to create this magnificent medieval castle . I definitely recommend this Lego set , if you are an advanced builder .

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great set! This is a very good set. It looks very good as a display piece, but also is fun to build and play with. The only problems that I have with this set are that some of the rooms in the castle do not have any detail and there are not many minifigures. I had a lot of fun with this set.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fun fir two [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My 10 year old and 8 year old boys loved spending the time building this set! They were very impressed with the "super cool" features that is has, like the draw bridge! It kept them very busy for hours working on this together. They have only done the main castle so far, but they are excited to change it up and try the other 2 options.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This was a fun build! Love the dragon! We have our older Castle set that includes a horse and more minifigures so put that together with the largest of the 3 in 1 choices to have a BIG castle. We enjoyed the time constructing this for an hour each evening this past week. We have extra horses and minifigures to add to this and set up a whole castle scenario on a BIG table. Yes, we are older adults but "playing" is a good thing. We did find a two errors - p. 216 step #26 called for one green flower, One 1x3 studded piece and TWO 6211975 pieces but it only needed/used one on this step. Same situation with step #30 p. 217. We forgive you. First instructional error we have EVER found in a LEGO product so you are doing very well. We have been Lego fans well over 30 years.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Castles!!!! After a long wait, finally a proper classic Castle set. Super fun build with nothing too complicated. Love the opening/closing playset design and happy that it comes with 3 proper figures, 1 skeleton and a very cool buildable dragon (my kids especially love the dragon!) Looks great next to my medieval blacksmith set, though the blacksmith build is noticeably more detailed.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very Fun Set I'll preface by admitting castle and space sets were my favorites as a child. I prefer the non-licensed sets, since they're more unique and a better value. This set checked all the boxes, it's a good value, it stays together and functions properly, but most importantly it was fun. It's fun to assemble and fun to play with for your kids, all while looking nice.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Amazing value The value for pieces and replay ability is amazing here. I like that both genders are included with the mini-figures. It should be a rule that they include both genders in sets with 3 or more mini-figures, which is not currently the case see the 3 in 1 pirate ship. Overall great, the only thing that would make this perfect would be a few more mini-figures.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Black Falcons 3 in 1 = The Castle I Need! First off, I'm a mark for the classic Black Falcons faction, they are my boys 100% since my first castle, Knight's Castle, back in the 80's. With that, there is some bias with my review. The Cons: - A few more mini-figures would have made this set perfect. Skelerang doesn't count as a mini to me (and others) it's more of a decor piece IMO. - Some smooth BLUE 1 x 3 or 1 x 4 would have been nice. Black Falcons don't roll with red in their heraldry! (I know, a super tiny nit-pick) That's it for cons. The Pros: - The main build is a fun nod to the 80's lineup of castle sets, and I see a lot of Lego design history in the main build. Thanks for that! - It's a challenging build, but not impossible, and NOT repetitive. I know some castle builds get the "mirror image" for the walls, but each wall has a fun aspect to it. Keeps in interesting. - The Wizard's Tower build is great. Nothing is more impressive that a big honk'n tower to put Gandalf, Majisto, or Dumbledore. I like the add on capability if you get multiples of this 3 in 1. - The Market Place can be looked at as the weaker build, but historically, many castles, or walled towns had marketplaces/vendors set up along the wall. This design lines up with that historic aspect, and its most appreciated. - If you are castle fanatic like me, you get three, put each build together, and have a SWEET Black Falcons keep. Brand new, and ready to sit next to the very impressive new Lion Knights castle Mega-Plex.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love me some LEGOS [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] So honestly what isn't to love of Legos. I have had so much fun putting this set together with my grandsons. They have thought the Medieval Castle is so fun. Legos aren't just for kids. And the kids actually needed my help putting this together. This has just been so fun.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Wow, Absolutely Impressed! Building this with my son was a blast, I'm totally impressed comparing this castle to the castles I built when I was a kid. The design and attention to detail was incredible. From the moss stones at the base by the water to the blacksmith wheel to the arrow slits, incredibly fun and creative! Take a bow Lego, well done!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Disappointed I was looking forward to building this but when I opened the box their seemed to be at least one missing piece in each back I had to make multiple claims during this build. Please work on your quality control.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fantastic Castle I recently bought the medieval town square. This Castle goes great with that set, without the cost of the lion knights castle. This castle is one of the best sets for the price, and I’m actually surprised it’s at this price point. The playability and look of this castle is awesome!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Fun and Interesting Build This three in one build has a lot of interesting builds. Unfortunately I was only able to finish some of the builds as my set was missing roughly 4 pieces, but I was able to salvage some from other sets to make it work. Having missing pieces from 3 in 1 sets is especially bad because you don't really notice what all is missing until you do the primary build. Overall the mechanics of the builds are interesting and the playability is super fun. The main castle is held together with flimsy joint pieces and that makes moving the castle around nearly impossible so it needs to be broken off into the three sections to move, which is a little inconvenient if you want to display it somewhere up high. I do wish Lego would have better quality control with missing pieces, but this is the first set i've had this issue with and they send the missing pieces to you which is nice. Unfortunately it takes 1-2 weeks for delivery, so unless you have parts to salvage from other builds, you'll have to wait a while before building.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fun [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My children are throughly enjoying their new LEGO - Medieval Castle! It has kept them busy for hours. Then the play and imagination that goes with building Legos is awesome! Way better than video games.
