I just wish was in another color....Im actually making 2 different colors. Just wish Lego produced in other colors. Same for the raptor, hated the orange.

Great for what it is!
Bought this for my 4yr old son and he absolutely loves it.
[Build]
The build obviously was challenging for him, but it was a fun father son experience. That said, some of the some of the pieces are similar enough to have even confused a seasoned Lego hobbyist. Also a few other areas where pieces go in the behind could have been clearer.
[Playability]
Judging by other reviews, I think it's important to set your priorities when deciding to purchase this. If you want a display piece with many life like features to show off friends, then this may not be for you.
However, this is perfect for younger kids where the durability of technic builds come at a great benefit. The car being a pull back is icing on the cake. This greatly extends the playability for younger kids.

It's not a Mustang. It's a Mumaro.
Let me know when they put out a new set that actually looks like a Mustang from the windshield forward. Not nearly enough curves to really look like a Mustang. Looks more like a Camaro up front.

Great build
I am moving into building more kits like this, they are fun builds. The hidden engineering of this, and many Lego sets, intrigues me. I too would have liked to have built an engine with this kit, and I would have liked a different color, I thought it was a great build.

I love this Shelby Lego model great invention I was waiting for this since I saw the raptor but I just wish there would be a blue one with some better looking wheels like the one from the real car

It’s a good car. Not a great car, just a good one. Different green pieces have different colors? Doesn’t look like a mustang? Definitely for younger kids.

Pretty Good
This was my first Technic set, so I don't have much to compare it to but I do build basically every other car. I'm a big Mustang fan so this was a natural buy for me. My biggest complaint is the gaps. It does still look nice, but things just don't fit well together. There are still some spaces when you look at it. I don't know if that is the Technic line or just this model, but there is no spacing issues in any of the other cars. The second is the color. I have never once looked at a Mustang and thought of lime green, especially a Shelby. I associate this more with Dodge and it is just a very odd choice. That stuff is just cosmetic though. Actual structure wise, I had a lot of difficulty getting the back trunk panel and spoiler to snap in. There was a lot of crowing and no matter what I did the pieces just would not do what they were supposed to. It probably took me over 45 minutes just to make it all work. Needless to say, I am not too keen on removing it to get the red bar in.
It overall looks great with my other various Mustang models and is fantastic for the price point it just isn't my favorite. I'm eager to eventually try the '67 and see how they compare

stressful but it looks cool
this was the worst thing i’ve built in my entire life. it’s partly my fault because i kept using the wrong bricks for the wrong places, however the instructions were also kind of confusing. overall it looks really clean and i love it, but id suggest staying clear if you’ve only built about 1 lego set in the past year (like me).

Good build but bad features
I've got this as my first lego technic among many others but realized that it lacks alot of things. Take the LEGO Nascar for example it's got similar size and shape but does way more i personally feel like LEGO could have done a little more to put sutff inside maybe doors or a non hollow engine.

Marvelous Mustang
Its been some years since I have put together a Technics kit, and this was my second since starting back and I really loved putting this together. I was really surprised at how well it was designed and the pull back mechanism is a pretty great little piece. This is one of the kits that is inspiring a custom build.

Cool set

Nice build
This was a pretty easy build. I enjoyed the process of putting it together. My only complaint is the technic feature. The red piece used to launch the car, I am not sure if i put it in correctly. Tried to flip it around, doesn’t seem to work well. Outside of that, i love the GT

Decent Build
It's a decent build for the money and is surprisingly bigger than expected. It can be challenging at times to put together, requires lots of patience, but worth it. It's a nice build if you are looking for a way to past time and if you are into cars.

First Licensed Shelby!
To me, the most notable feature is the license from Shelby. I am confident this is not the last Shelby we see (if it were, the resale value would be shocking). I am hoping for a silver 427 Cobra about the scale of the recent Bugati or Lamborghini.
