Doorbells stopped working within days of arriving!
My daughter got this house for Christmas, and it almost immediately became a favorite of all my kids (ages 5,3 &2). Within 10 days all 4 doorbells quit working, even after I tried brand new batteries. The only reason I'm giving this 2 stars and not 1 is because my daughter still loves the dolls and playing with the keys. On another note, the customer service is questionable. I tried calling the company about this problem, but only got the answering machine. I tried to email, but they just told me to call. I don't have time to keep after them so I'm just leaving this review. At this point kids have picked off the sticker on the bottom with the bar code so they can't help now anyway. I'm pretty disappointed, I expected more from Melissa and Doug toys.

Great gift for 2-3 year olds
This has been my gift of the year. I have purchased four. Three were Christmas gifts. Gift ranges were for 3 two year olds and 1 three year old. Both ages enjoyed them even older kids like it. What I like about it is that it is all self contained The doorbell rings are soft not loud or offensive. Each door bell has a different sounding ring tone. The people that come with it are very well made. Just a quality made gift that is really enjoyed (keeps them busy for long periods of time). I really recommend this product

This is my 2nd house to purchase for my use!
I have lost count on how many of these houses that I have purchased as gifts!! I teach early childhood special education so the house I use for my job gets used every single week!! Just this week I have given my house that I have had + used for at least 5+ years, to an adult disabled child that his mom has said was getting bored and restless at home since his day school is closed due to Governor! My husband and I took to him and he loves it!! I have NEVER ever had any issues with this house!!

Not worth it
Got it for my 3 year old. As it us a $40 toy i was expecting quality. 1 week in to playing with it and i regret buying. Not only did the plasticky wallpaper on tge house peel off. My son figured out that every lock unlocks using 1 yes ONE key. Why buy this house with 4 different locks if they can be all unlocked with 1 key. It is a cheap. Useless disappointing melissa & doug toy. It has completely changed my mind about buying from this brand. Would not recommend.

Makes learning fun! Excellent gift.
This little house is such a hit! Melissa and Doug toys always are here... We have a lot of their toys and musical instruments. My grandson loves to ring our house bell because he associates it with the bells on this little house. Very sturdy and he has gotten hours of play out if it already. The little people are well made and their outfits are so cute... I highly recommend this for learning at play...

Very disappointing!
I looked all over town for this gift for a very special little girl and no one had it and I was thrilled when I finally found one online. Imagine the disappointment when this four year old put the key into door number 2 and the lock fell inside the house. She was devastated and so was I. The locks are cheap plastic and apparently something that holds the lock in place was broke off.

Great, timeless toy but parts quality not so good
Wonderful and timeless toy for toddlers on!! My grandchildren have loved and enjoyed this doorbell house for many years.
I am very disappointed that the quality of the of the door locks snd doorbells are poor. Now they are made of plastic rather them metal. It looks cheap and will definitely not hold up as the toy used to with quality parts.

My Son Loves It!
My son was really into doorbells & keys so when I found this toy I was so excited. He still carries it with him. I like that the keys are attached so he cannot lose them. The strap that holds the keys is short so you have to move the handle for keys to reach but I like that my son had to figure that out. Love this toy!

This house has some issues.
I cannot give this five stars because the green door was not installed straight so it binds when you try and open it. I've tried to sand it down a little bit that does not help. Also I had to take a damp cloth and wipe the glue residue off all the surfaces. Quality control was lacking on the day this house was made.

Fun but peeling
I bought this because my 3yr old is obsessed with keys brought it home had a sharp spot and couldn't open the battery door so I exchanged it, after about a week purple door is coming off and several other spots are going to disappointed for the price but my daughter loves the keys and people and the doorbells

Only 3 unique locks?
We bought this as a Christmas gift from Santa and after them just opening it, the house we received only has 3 different locks. Key 1 has no use for us because door 1 and 2 have the same lock (key 2). A bit disappointed because my 4 year old can't use this to learn her numbers when door 1 needs key 2.

I would buy this product again.
Our granddaughter loves playing the role of serving ice cream at the ice cream parlor! She is 2yrs old and it's fun to watch her reaction when a 'customer' picks her 'favorite' strawberry ice cream! Sometimes....it's not available! I like the fact that she uses her imagination & hands on dexterity.

I haven't really opened the package... it is going to be a Christmas Present for my great niece who is 4 years old. If it were mine... I see it as a good place to lock-up my treasures... I would think that the doorbells and keys would be very intriguing for my little gn...

Disappointed I can't gyve it to my granddaughter. Luckily I opened it to inspect and put batteries in. Doorbell on door one doesn't work. Two of the dolls had broken legs before I even took them out of plastic. Hoping to get a replacement because it really is adorable.

Great product for improving hand-eye coordination
The doorbell house is really a great aid at increasing hand-eye coordination, with the keys. I painted each key to match the color of the door that it opens. Our grandson is not picking up yet on the colors names, but he does match the key color to the door color now.

Complete success!
Initially, upon arrival, this wasn't what I thought it would be. I was about to send it back. However, my 2 1/2 year old rand boy LOVES this. It was a complete success. The keys, the doorbells, the family. He is completely engaged with this house. Thank you!

Doorbell house is awesome !
My 2 year old daughter loves this toy! She matches each doll to same color door and loves picking out which key belongs to which door by looking at the shape . She can almost open each door on her own which I think is impressive . Love the quality as well.

Not working
This is something my son has wanted for ages. He got it as a Christmas gift from his Grandparents but the doorbell didn't work. Took it back to the shop but they didn't have any more so he had to choose something else. He's very disappointed.

Horrible quality
Delivered me a used looking house. The house design is peeling off. Key holes are scratched and chipped off. Doorbells are all scratched up. Incredibly frustrated, upset and disappointed that i got sent this. Especially with its price point.

Doorbells quit working
Bought this toy for my 3yo autistic son who loves keys and doorbells. He played with it for a week and we put it up. The next time he wanted to play with it, the doorbells wouldn't work. I have a screaming, disappointed toddler on my hands.

Found mine on the side of the road in the rain, brought it home, set it by the fire, put in batteries and it Works very well! Although it is missing the keys and people Is there any way to get our missing pieces? Love our little house!

I got a used and open toy I can’t believe they tied it in a bag and thought it was fine to sell it off like that obviously Im returning it!! It also came without the little dolls and was given a McDonald’s happy meal toy what a joke.

Disappointed
My daughter has been crying for an hour because the doorbells won't come back since the batteries needed to be replaced. It even taunts us and plays sounds randomly as the batteries go in and out but the doorbells are no more.

The Worst
This toy is not kid friendly! The keys are tiny and very tricky to insert in the locks. Also, they have a small number indicating which door to open, rather than an additional color coding. This needs an update!

More keys please
The key string was too short, so I had to detach the keys. The keys went in to my grandson's pocket as soon as we finished playing with the house. He was so proud to have a set of working keys that belong to him.
