A basic when your child approaches age 3.
For 3-year-old granddaughter, who has 1-year-old baby brother. Wanted something both could play with, and safe (from swallowing) for the younger. Idea - a set of larger-yet lacing-beads for situations where infants are around. All pieces guaranteed too big to go into a baby's mouth. Now, we have a play-together toy. Granddaughter enjoys naming the colors.

A delightful gift with unlimited creative potential
These beads were a Christmas gift for our two year old granddaughter. Her first impulse was to string a large number of shaped and colored beads into a necklace, which she wore all day on Christmas Eve. We have a feeling she will continue to find creative ways to play with them long after these holidays have offered these grandparents a precious memory.

Would purchase again for sure!
Love all wood construction. Love plain tray. Love bright beautiful primary colors & "bead" shapes. A storage pouch would be nice for travel & easy clean up. Or, maybe a box with lid. But, an attached lid would make it less practical when child is playing with it. And, hazardous for little fingers? I'll leave it up to the experts.

Great product with one suggestion
My 3-year old granddaughter really enjoys this product. It is well-made and colorful; great for improving fine motor skills. It would be perfect if the 2 ties came with a little knot in the bottom so that the beads didn't fall out everytime she holds her new creation up. But otherwise, a really nice product.

I would buy this toy again.
Even tho my Granddaughter is a bit young for the concept of the actual "beading" part, the beads provided hours of entertainment from the very start. A great toy for sorting, rolling and "serving" to her stuffed animals on toy plates. :) A wonderful toy and I can see her having fun for years to come.

Awesome!
I got this for my 2 year old and found my 6 year old playing with his little sister (the 2 year old). The largeness of the beads really helped them both with hand eye coordination to thread the string through. Love how its primary colors and not the more difficult colors like fuschia or turquoise.
