Keeps kids busy
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I recieved this kinetic sand mermaid crystal playset totally free. Isabella got to play with it while I photographed her and asked her opinion for this review. She obviously loved it. The hidden pearls and treasures were a big win for her. Mommy disliked the way the treasure boxed opened on the top and bottom. They give you this magical key that didn't work very magical for me. Lol

Fun Treasures to Uncover
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My 3.5 year old girl LOVED uncovering the treasures in the sand, especially the mermaid, and creating a "Mermaid Castle" Sometimes its hard to play with sand toys inside without making a big mess, but the playset, and the way the sand sticks together makes it perfect to use as an inside toy that will keep them busy for hours.

Fascinating playset the kids will love!

This experience brings them back to the beach without going to one (now that it is winter). They had a lot of fun making clam shells out of the molds and enjoyed every moment of play!

BEST Kinetic Sand Playset!!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My 5 year old daughter, absolutely loved her Kinetic sand Mermaid Crystal playset. She was entertained for hours. She especially loved discovering the gems and pearls throughout the sand. Being able to create your own beach scenery is perfect. It is easy to pack up and take on the goal as well.

Very eye-catching
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Immediately when my child saw this, they had to open it. It looks amazing, the "key" is such an interesting addition, and made it more exciting for them to open, the shovel just added to that excitement. The colours are so vibrant, and the sand provides hours of okay. Great stuff.

So much fun!

Its so fun, you search for hidden/ buried treasure, there are pearls and gems, shell scoops and different keys to unlock the crystal container. Goes well with other Kinetic sand kits too, adds lots of fun!

Fun, but not mess free!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I recieved this item in exchange for my honest review. My children received the Kinetic Sand, Mermaid Crystal Playset, 1.06lbs of Purple Play Sand, Gold Shimmer Sand, Storage and Tools. Both my son and daughter enjoyed it. The sand does stick together but when they are done after playing, there are always clumps on the floor. It can stain so be prepared by rolling up sleeves and always wash hands after use. The castle is opened by installing a seashell key. I can see this getting lost easily, so you may have to force it open to get the sand out. It comes with a scoop, the seashell key, a mermaid shaper, clamshell, 2 gems and 4 pearls. It's nice that the purple sand gets stored in the crystal castle and you can add more sand to it. There is golden sand on the bottom and there is a treasure chest shaper to create even more under the sea fun. The seashell key is also required to open the bottom sand keeper. Hopefully the seashell key doesn't get lost!

Great fun!

Big hit with kids

Get it for eight bucks at target when purchased online. Your welcome. Plus 2lbs extra sand for six bucks. BTW don't worry if you lose the "keys". The plastic is so flimsy you can open without them.

A Wonderful Treasure
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My daughter loved this, and so did I! We got to try the Kinetic Sand: Mermaid Crystal Playset for free, thanks to Spinmaster, and Butterly. I had my doubts at first that my daughter would enjoy this, but she was happy playing this day after day. Even when I placed it away, she would ask for me to take it out for her to play with it again.
It came with three different colours of sand: pink, purple, and yellow. My daughter loved that with the playset that it was like finding multiple surprises and treasure buried in the sand. She especially loved finding pearls and jewels.
She enjoys the moulds she can also make, which include a mermaid, a seashell, a smaller seashell, and a treasure chest. My daughter ends up making a storyline while she plays with this.
I was worried with having her play with sand in the house, and that it be a mess everywhere. But the sand keeps together, and its a easy clean up. The only thing I did noticed that my daughter preferred in this playset was that she preferred the sparkly yellow sand, rather than the plain colour sand. So more sparkle, please! Other than that this is a great playset to give to any child who loves mermaids and finding treasure.

So much fun!!

Kinetic Sand, Mermaid Crystal Playset, from SpinMaster comes with over 1 lb of play sand, a reusable crystal container, shell scoop, mermaid key, clamshell mold, shell key/roller, 2 gems, and 4 pearls. It is rated for ages 3 and up. Once opened, kids have 6 hidden surprises to find (the gems, pearls, mermaid key, and clamshell) by digging in the sand. The mermaid key unlocks the bottom of the crystal container to reveal the golden shimmer sand, which is absolutely gorgeous! My kids have had hours upon hours of fun with this Playset. Even my son, who is usually only wanting electronics, said that he was having so much fun! Mom win!! They had a blast finding all the hidden surprises, then took turns re-hiding them in the sand for the other to find! The sand flows through your fingers smoothly and leaves no mess behind. It sticks to itself and cleans up easily, no mess on the table or floor! My daughter described it as "highly satisfying " as it flowed through her fingers My kids are already asking for more Kinetic sand!
