Cool toy
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is such a cool toy. I seen several remote control toys but never seen a 360 one. By far this is the coolest the wheels light up and it rotates around in a circle. Most remote control go straight only when controlling. My cousin just loves yhis and he's not even the biggest sonic the hedgehog fan and still thinks it cool.

Fun for kids
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My nephew really like this toy, he said it was cool and he loved how sonic looks like the actual character from the movie and not a knockoff. He enjoys playing with this toy, there was a bit of a learning curve but he's gotten it down and now plays with this toy all the time. It would make a good Christmas gift .

Great toy!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I got this for my nephew as a birthday gift. When he opened it he immediately wanted to get it out of the packaging and couldn’t wait for batteries to be installed. This toy is fun for all ages. The kids loved watching it roll around and the adults did as well. The cute Sonic character is so fun to watch wiz by!

great potential

out of the box, the control and the car are connected and there isn’t much leeway so in all it’s really to much of no use because they’re so close together. it could be a super fun toy but since there’s a cord that’s eliminates it.

The controller is the Sonic “ring” and easy for him to hold and handle. It goes pretty fast and the lights make it more entertaining. Definitely a must if your child loves Sonic.

Easy to use

It was really fast to use inside, so this ended up being an outside toy for our house. My son loved being able to control the sonic with the round handle

Very cool !
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This toy is so much fun , everyone in my family loved it . The ring is the remote control and it has 3 buttons to control it, it's quite difficult at first but you get the hang of it. The wheels also light up so you can enjoy it at night time

Love Sonic!

Sonic speed but a mind of its own
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Sonic Speed R/C is a zippy toy whose speed and finesse live up to the hedgehog’s signature athleticism. However, the toy’s finicky controls reduce its long-term interest for kids, and its voracious appetite for batteries make it annoying for parents.
The R/C toy looks quite good. It’s a lean, mean Sonic on a sort of skateboard, and it has articulated joints that allow you to make lots of cool poses. The controller itself is shaped like a golden ring collectible item from the video game. It looks neat, though the circular shape makes the device slightly less functional in that it becomes harder to locate the button that you want to press. Sonic definitely GOES. It’s faster than other R/C toys my kids have, and it turns on a dime, making the toy a blue blur.
My kids got a kick out of making Sonic fly around the house. Their interest waned pretty quickly, however. The device has three buttons: go, spin, and “turbo.” The manual claims that the turbo mode makes the wheels light up and increases the device’s speed. It certainly does the former, but I don’t detect any speed increase. The spin button makes the toy turn remarkably quickly. It’s a neat effect, but it is not at all useful for controlling the direction of the device given how fast it spins. In short, the toy can’t be guided in a meaningful way. The fun lies entirely in sending it skittering around the place more or less at random.
I am annoyed that the toy requires eight AA batteries. That seems excessive! Moreover, after an afternoon of playing with the toy, the batteries were already depleted. It may be the case that my kids left the toy and the remote control turned on after they finished playing with it. When they tried to play with it later that evening, the batteries were already spent. Whether the toy ran out of juice in one round of playing or whether my kids neglected to turn everything off, I’m not happy, and I’m unwilling to put eight more batteries into a toy that my kids have already forgotten about.
I think the toy is neat, and I understand that in order to be true to the fundamental characteristics of Sonic, the thing needs to be fast and to spin. However, I wish that the toy offered the user more control and that it required either less power or were rechargeable.
