Nosefrida "The Snotsucker" Nasal Aspirator

The Nosefrida "The Snotsucker" Nasal Aspirator is a safe and effective way of cleaning your baby's nostrils. The non-invasive design forms a seal outside the nostril instead of going inside. Then by the power of your own mouth, you can create the suction necessary for aspiration. The pieces come apart for easy cleaning.

Product Highlights

  • Non-invasive design forms a seal outside the baby's nostril
  • Parent-powered mouth suction is strong and effective
  • Pieces come apart for easy cleaning
Safe for baby
The non-invasive design forms a seal around your little one's nostril - instead of inside - to create the vacuum necessary for aspiration.
Parent-powered
Use your mouth to draw upon the mouthpiece end to create a desired suction that is strong and effective for clearing out your little one's nostrils.

Product Description

Nosefrida, the original doctor-developed and doctor-recommended nasal aspirator is the new standard in keeping babies naturally snot free. Ingeniously simple Swedish design features a tube that is placed against the nostril (not inside). Parents use their own suction to draw mucus out of their child's nose. Disposable filters prevent any bacterial transfer. Nosefrida is easy to clean, top-rack safe, and BPA and Phthalate free. It is superior to the bulb aspirator, presents no risk or harm to internal nasal structures and is dramatically more efficacious.

Let's get this part out of the way and into the open... the thought of sucking out snot with a straw is disturbing to say the least. The friendly picture of a mom doing just this on the front of the package won't do much to help ease your trepidation. In fact, the first time I saw this product I laughed and passed it by swearing I would never do anything so disgusting!

Plain and simple fact, your child WILL get a cold or two within their first year. Seeing that infants have very little in an established immune system that means lots of stuffy noses, snot and boogers that YOU will have to deal with. With a stuffy nose it will be difficult for your baby to eat and sleep as babies tend to be nose-breathers. This will mean lots of fussiness for the parents. When your child is producing what seems like gallons of snot, THOSE TRADITIONAL BULB-SUCKERS JUST WILL NOT CUT IT!

Out of pure desperation I bought the Nosefrida. I felt like the mom and baby on the front of the package were mocking me with a look of "We knew you'd be back." Now, I can honestly see why... This thing is AWESOME!!! If we look purely at results, the Nosefrida wins hands down compared to the competition. While its design is extremely simple, it is cleverly built in a way that prevents you from accidentally swallowing something from your baby's nose. It has a filter but in my experience (and I've had a lot at this point) the contents you remove from your child's nose very rarely make it that far up the tube anyhow.

The Nosefrida allows you to use enough suction to effectively unblock your child's nose quickly and safely. I was very hesitant at first as I didn't want to accidentally create so much suction in my son's nose that I'd pop a blood vessel or something. This was not the case at all. While my son generally doesn't want me bothering him with such things, I can tell that he's learned to know the sight of the Nosefrida means he'll be able to breath well again when its all done.

On top of all of this, the Nosefrida is very easy to clean. It seems to have a non-stick surface that allows a quick rinse with hot water to remove all of the tube's contents.

I don't at all think it will ever seem any less weird or disgusting to use the Nosefrida, but I otherwise have nothing but good things to say about it. BUY THIS!

It was tough using this product on my 6 month old. he hated it and would move all over the place because he simply did not want the tube up his nose. needless to say it was pretty difficult to use. I'm guessing its easier with both parents. one to hold the child's head still and the other to use the product. after I used it one time. I took it apart to clean it and for some strange reason the tubes dont fit in each other anymore. I have to either exchange it now or return it. sorry. but I've heard great things from other moms with older kids.

Comments about Fridababy Nosefrida ""The Snotsucker"" Nasal Aspirator:

My son HATES the bulb snot sucker. Hates it. Writhes around so much that it's ineffective. Plus, you have to get a snug fit with the nostril to create enough suction, and the bulb aspirator's tip is too narrow for that.

So I tried the Nosefrida. I like the shape of the tip (it's larger, so it fits up against the nostril without having the ENTER the nostril). It seems to do a much more efficient and quick job.

However, if your baby's nose is truly stopped up, you might need to drop saline in his nose to loosen up the mucous (as recommended by the product packaging).

My son still screams bloody murder if he's truly stopped up and the process is taking longer, but he doesn't seem to mind the Nosefrida if it's for a drippier job. Overall, it seems to be a lot quicker anyway than the bulb.

Comments about Fridababy Nosefrida ""The Snotsucker"" Nasal Aspirator:

as a first time mom, i was skeptical and intimated. I had to use this out of desperation when my baby was sick. I had been using the bulb but it wasn't removing that much mucous. I tried this and now I use it all the time. It removes so much mucous. My baby hates it but he gets over it quick by now. I definitely recommend!

Comments about Fridababy Nosefrida ""The Snotsucker"" Nasal Aspirator:

I bought this product as an alternative to the rubber bulb snot suckers. My baby hates to have her nose suctioned because the bulb sucker pokes her. Plus she always pulls away. The Nosefrieda has been great. We've used it 3 times already. It is a 2 person job, one holding the baby's arms and head still and the other person doing the sucking. I have even used it in myself! It was a great buy for my family!

This is a very good product. It works well, much better than a bulb sucker in my opionion. Our infant caught a cold recently and we needed an alternative to the "bulb". While the thought of the process is somewhat disgusting, once you get past that, you realize this thing works

This product is amazing! I tried to use the suction bulb we got from the hospital and it did not work at all. This nose frida gets my little ones mucus with no issues. One con is that it's not the easiest to clean once the mucus dries. I blight two for my friends!
