Nosefrida "The Snotsucker" Nasal Aspirator

The Nosefrida "The Snotsucker" Nasal Aspirator is a safe and effective way of cleaning your baby's nostrils. The non-invasive design forms a seal outside the nostril instead of going inside. Then by the power of your own mouth, you can create the suction necessary for aspiration. The pieces come apart for easy cleaning.

Product Highlights

  • Non-invasive design forms a seal outside the baby's nostril
  • Parent-powered mouth suction is strong and effective
  • Pieces come apart for easy cleaning
Safe for baby
The non-invasive design forms a seal around your little one's nostril - instead of inside - to create the vacuum necessary for aspiration.
Parent-powered
Use your mouth to draw upon the mouthpiece end to create a desired suction that is strong and effective for clearing out your little one's nostrils.

Product Description

Nosefrida, the original doctor-developed and doctor-recommended nasal aspirator is the new standard in keeping babies naturally snot free. Ingeniously simple Swedish design features a tube that is placed against the nostril (not inside). Parents use their own suction to draw mucus out of their child's nose. Disposable filters prevent any bacterial transfer. Nosefrida is easy to clean, top-rack safe, and BPA and Phthalate free. It is superior to the bulb aspirator, presents no risk or harm to internal nasal structures and is dramatically more efficacious.

Let's get this part out of the way and into the open... the thought of sucking out snot with a straw is disturbing to say the least. The friendly picture of a mom doing just this on the front of the package won't do much to help ease your trepidation. In fact, the first time I saw this product I laughed and passed it by swearing I would never do anything so disgusting!

Plain and simple fact, your child WILL get a cold or two within their first year. Seeing that infants have very little in an established immune system that means lots of stuffy noses, snot and boogers that YOU will have to deal with. With a stuffy nose it will be difficult for your baby to eat and sleep as babies tend to be nose-breathers. This will mean lots of fussiness for the parents. When your child is producing what seems like gallons of snot, THOSE TRADITIONAL BULB-SUCKERS JUST WILL NOT CUT IT!

Out of pure desperation I bought the Nosefrida. I felt like the mom and baby on the front of the package were mocking me with a look of "We knew you'd be back." Now, I can honestly see why... This thing is AWESOME!!! If we look purely at results, the Nosefrida wins hands down compared to the competition. While its design is extremely simple, it is cleverly built in a way that prevents you from accidentally swallowing something from your baby's nose. It has a filter but in my experience (and I've had a lot at this point) the contents you remove from your child's nose very rarely make it that far up the tube anyhow.

The Nosefrida allows you to use enough suction to effectively unblock your child's nose quickly and safely. I was very hesitant at first as I didn't want to accidentally create so much suction in my son's nose that I'd pop a blood vessel or something. This was not the case at all. While my son generally doesn't want me bothering him with such things, I can tell that he's learned to know the sight of the Nosefrida means he'll be able to breath well again when its all done.

On top of all of this, the Nosefrida is very easy to clean. It seems to have a non-stick surface that allows a quick rinse with hot water to remove all of the tube's contents.

I don't at all think it will ever seem any less weird or disgusting to use the Nosefrida, but I otherwise have nothing but good things to say about it. BUY THIS!

It was tough using this product on my 6 month old. he hated it and would move all over the place because he simply did not want the tube up his nose. needless to say it was pretty difficult to use. I'm guessing its easier with both parents. one to hold the child's head still and the other to use the product. after I used it one time. I took it apart to clean it and for some strange reason the tubes dont fit in each other anymore. I have to either exchange it now or return it. sorry. but I've heard great things from other moms with older kids.

Comments about Fridababy Nosefrida ""The Snotsucker"" Nasal Aspirator:

After trying 4 different aspirators, trying to manually remove, using saline, steam and everything else the doctor suggested my poor little baby still being congested and miserable for daysI was at my wits end. I could not help my daughter and it was killing me. I finally broke down and purchased what I thought was an over priced, ridiculous gadget. I wish I bought this thing first. It worked immediately and was amazing. Her relief was instant and the Nosefrida was worth every penny!!!

Comments about Fridababy Nosefrida ""The Snotsucker"" Nasal Aspirator:

My 7 month old son had a cold for about a week, I was using the nose sucker the hospital provides but I felt that it wasn't taking out much. Every time I went to Babies R Us I debated on buying the Nosefrida, and I am so glad that I did. It is super easy to use and my child was actually curious about it and didn't give me a hassle when i used it on him. It's easy to clean and I couldn't be happier with this product.

I finally went to buy the Nose Frida, and man, am I happy I did! Miles is 3 months old; I don't usually have a hard time getting the ickies from his nose (he's pretty well behaved), but the old school aspirator doesn't get the job done.

He actually thinks the Nose Frida is a game, because of the way you're supposed to move it in circles.

It's weird to use your own mouth for suction, but don't worry, the snot can't get to your mouth! :) And it does work better than the other aspirators. However my baby screams for all of them. :)

At first it seems really gross to suction out your baby's boogers with your mouth, but once your little nugget is all congested you just want a product that works. And boy does the nose frida work! My little guy always smiles after we use this because he can breathe again. Very easy to use and easy to clean. Recommended to have on hand when your infant has a cold.

We have used this product since my son was 2 or 3 months old. He has had issues with congestion and the nose frida seems to be the best thing to clear up his nasal passages. First I use Little Remedies Saline Drops (2 - 3 drops in each nostril) and then I use the nose frida to extract the mucus. I'm usually able to get a lot out and then he is able to breath through his nose which also allows him to eat comfortably. My son is now 10 months old and we recently started using it again due to seasonal allergies. Unfortunately he does not like the nose frida at all. He screams and tries to pull it away from his face. For now, this has been the only thing that really works.

This product is so gross, yet so rewarding. I can completely clear her nose in seconds. It's so quick and efficient, my 4 month old doesn't even have a chance to start crying.
