I purchased 2 because I thought it would be more fun and my wife and I could keep a closer Eye on our 11 y/o daughter. The Carts are a blast to drive and battery charge exceeds our fatigue factor in driving them( at least one hour ). Build quality is average. tire wear occurs rapidly and on the first Cart during week 2 the chain tensioner spring came off its perch requiring about 45 minutes of disassembly and reassembly to repair. On the second machines. week 3 a hole in the inner tube required again about 45 minutes of repair and a machine down time of 4-5 days to get a replacement tube. these machines require attention to tire pressures and a pre-ride inspection by an Adult.

This is a great product idea. I've owned 2 of the smaller crazy carts and they're great. The XL is a ton of fun but has a massive design flaw: they use the same wheel and 200x50 tire for the original and the XL. The XL carries much more weight so the tire wears out quickly. The bigger problem is that when the tire blows, you're not driving on the rim of the wheel like you'd expect...you're driving on the plastic chain guard (which cracks or breaks) and the sprockets of the gearing. My kids ride them on a tennis court, and the XL tires last just a few days (3-5 days of 20 minutes use each - an original crazy cart is more like 30 days of daily 20 minutes use on a tennis court per tire....tennis courts are tough on tires). Once the tire blows (and you don't always notice it immediately), the gearing gashes up the court surface. So I've had to return 2 XLs and wait for a bigger front wheel.

    Ride away neighborhood, cosplay
    Goes about 15 mph
Really bad design for how low the chain sits to the ground you hit the wrong bump and you will need to buy another one..
Change the sprocket and gear ratio so it won't hit the ground

It came with no air in the tire and we didn't check it figuring it had air .we drove it with no air on the chain.the gearbox is to close to the ground so you need to make sure you have air.the tire has a slow leak so I had to order a new one still waiting it's 2weeks.also on the 4th ride we had to replace the white hard tire. after all rides weight was less then 200 pounds so we don't know how often we will be needing to change or replace them. It's not worth a $1.

i don't want to shred tires on my GTI, it's much more fun (and less expensive) to drift in the XL... this product is for adults really that want the experience of getting sideways without the drama/cost/huge open area needed for a missile.

Comments about Razor 1001199 Razor Crazy Cart XL:

Purchased 2 Crazy Cart XLs online. Received in middle of winter, so couldn't use for a few months. When snow melted, got outside with my two boys.

Chain came off one after mere minutes of riding--the cheap plastic sprocket protecter / chain holder shattered into pieces (we were trying to figure out what the heck the plastic was all over the driveway.)

As mentioned by others, tensioner spring assembly bends when pulled out of steering post, leaving the chain slack. And once it's been dislodged, it does not want to stay in place. Toys R Us agreed to replace this Crazy Cart XL. (Just put a bunch of Gorilla tape all around the edge of the new one's sprocket protector to attempt to keep it from self-destructing.)

Chain came off the second one after a week or so of riding. Same issue: plastic holder along chain sprocket disintegrated into pieces. Am awaiting a replacement.

(According to Razor, the drive wheel parts come as a single assembly, so there's no buying just a replacement piece; their expected delivery date -- to them -- of these parts is at the end of May 2015.)

I had high hopes that the mechanical issues of the first generation Crazy Cart had been solved in time for the XL. But: No. The disintegrating plastic disc needs to be replaced with something far more sturdy, maybe metal. The tensioner spring needs to be mounted more sturdily so that it doesn't keep popping out of its hole.

We also have Crazy Cart black, which goes at least as fast as the supposed-to-be-faster XL.

For the price paid, I'm disappointed. Rather than us getting hours of fun per dollar paid, we've paying tens of dollars per minute of fun. When it's working, it's fun, for kids and adults.

Comments about Razor 1001199 Razor Crazy Cart XL:

Well, to start with, the Crazy Cart XL was originally supposed to come out in December, hence making it the perfect Christmas gift for our 10 year old son. Well, that didn't happen and it continued to get pushed back every month, until we finally got it about 2 weeks ago. My son was ecstatic and absolutely loved the machine! Well, less than a week of playing with it, and mind you, he's 10 and this is meant for adults, it broke. The chain housing broke and the chain kept coming off. Then, to make matters more frustrating, we have been getting the run around from the people at Toys R Us to get it fixed. (See service comments)

I have had this for about a month and love it. The only problem i am having is the top speed is about half what they say it is.... i purchased 3 crazy carts for my kids and my saw this and said what the heck.So we bought one for us too. It is frwaking awesome and it is more dun than anyone should be allowed to have. But the regular crazy carts are doing the sdbvertised speed of 12mph while i am only getting 8 out of the xl??? Has any one experienced this issue? It does not matter who rodes it no more the 8mph my son is 120lbs and it still only does 8mph while the regular cart does 12.1 we clocked them with gun amd using gps same results. Other than that AWESOME!
