Love that you can help your child learn to sip from the straw by pressing at the bottom. This was the first cup my son drank from. The bottle is strong and has withstood many a drop from the highchair. The bad is this: the pressure caused in the bottle causes water (or milk, or juice) to bubble up and over, causing embarrassing messes. We had milk in it and when opening it in a public place -- the pressure caused the milk to spray out and cause a puddle. If that pressure was not there, I would LOVE this cup and buy more.

The product itself is wonderful. My son who had never used a straw was handling this cup within minutes, with ease.

This was an ok cup. It gave my daughter horrible gas though. I wasn't able to squeeze it and it would leak from the straw as pressure built up in the cup. I did like that it was easier to clean than some straw cups.

After trying several of the spout sippy cups with no luck, I came across this one and my son took to it on the very first try. It does not leak when turned upside down but if you leave it sitting without closing the straw lid some liquid may slowky rise to the top of the straw. this did not prove to be much of a problem for us tho

I feel the cup is a bit hard for even an adult to squeeze, hopefully in the future this will work better for us.

After about 3 months of struggling with a spout-type cup (which my daughter could not figure out and would just chew on), we switched to this cup. The design is GENIUS-- after just a couple of times with me squeezing the cup to get water up the straw, my daughter figured out how to sip out of it. No kidding, she mastered this cup in 2 days! Highly recommend!!

I bought this cup for my 6 month old, who refuses bottles. I tried sippy cups too, and this is the closest he gets to drinking out of anything. I know it's a little early, but he actually really likes the straw, and he loves the handles. I like that I can push on the bottom to get some liquid up the straw and into his mouth. My only complaint is that if you leave the cup sitting on the counter with the straw uncovered (so the lid not pulled over), it will leak. The liquid climbs up the straw on its own. Not a huge deal, but there was a little puddle when I came back. Overall I think it's a great cup for training to drink out of a straw, which speech pathologists recommend over sippy cups.

This sipper taught my 10 month old to drink from a straw after 1 use. It works great!
BUT, its not a good straw sipper for everyday use..you'll see if you buy it, but it was worth the money to teach him how.

The best cup ever. This has replaced all other cups. My ten month old took to it immediately. This is the only straw cup I have found that has an easy to use straw. The other cups with straws would require him to bite and suck on the straw, this did not work for him. The cup does not leak, but it is designed to teach them to use a straw so if you squeeze too hard while putting the lid on some of the liquid will squirt out. This is not a problem though when he is using the cup. The only reason I did not give 5 stars is because the cup sweats. This cup would be perfect if it was insulated.

Finally, Playtex got it right! I have purchased many sippy cups for my 3 older sons and now my 10-month-old daughter and this one is BY FAR the best! My daughter doesn't want to tip her head back to use a traditional sippy cup, but she has had no trouble drinking from straws. So, I've purchased one of every straw cup on the market trying to find the best. This one is the easiest for her to hold and sip and the easiest for me to clean because I can get the straw in and out with just a little tug. I could only find the taller one at first, but now I am so happy Playtex is making this in the smaller (7 oz.) size! I have given all of my other sippy cups away and am replacing them with these. I'm not sure what happened with the previous reviewer, but I have found that these are of good quality...even when my daughter repeatedly throws them from her high chair to show she is done. They've hit the hardwood floors many times and have held up great!
