Had to contact the company after having it for less than a month. It shrunk to where my 10lb baby could no longer use them. Luckily they replaced them with new ones. I would advise you get the big ones.

This product was good for about a month, then my son managed to get his arms under the openings a few times causing it to come over his face while he slept. NO GOOD! The velcro fasteners stopped sticking after a short time, causing it come aloose during the night, which in turn caused him to startle out of his sleep during the night. As if we needed one more reason for him not to sleep during the night. Eventually, I just opted for making my own swaddling blankets which I KNOW will be secure and not a choking hazard.

Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend

Bought as part of a shower gift for someone who is expecting multiples. Love the simple adorable patterns. I used these years ago when my son was born, and they saved myself and my husband from many frustrating nights of having to swaddle correctly while sleep deprived. I highly reccommend for any new parents!
