What a great first camera for any budding photographer! Quality of workmanship and features make this the best first camera currently available. Image quality is superb (5.1 Mp) and ease of use is very intuitive. Add in the software and SD card capaibilites, and you have a winner!

I read the reviews before buying but decided to proceed since the camera was half price on Black Friday. On Christmas we opened the camera. I was very impressed by the quality and the video feature. We tinkered with it a few times and that evening when we went to turn it on for the 3rd time, the camera was HOT to the touch and would not turn on. We pulled the batteries out, let the camera cool down, but it still would not turn on. My husband believes it had a short in it. This seems to be a COMMON complaint with this camera (read the other reviews!). I thought we would be the exception; Boy was I wrong. Do not buy. I ended up returning ours and getting a refund after Christmas. Although the resolution is good for a kids camera, I think we'll go back to the Fisher Price Kids Tough cameras.

This was an easy to use camera. I figured it out quickly and so did my almost 4 year old. She has taken some great pictures and is having a blast with it. This is the only thing she really wanted for Christmas and she has not put it down since.

The camera is junk and we are taking it back to Toys-R-Us next week. [...] Photos are bad. No ability to focus. Internal Memory holds 1 (YES ONE) photo at 5.1 MP. You need a tiny screw driver to change the batteries. It won't work with Rechargable NiMH batteries (I assume the 1.2 v each is too low for the electronics). The screen is junk (it is the same screen on my $5 digital Christmas Ornament).We purchased this for my 3 Year Old. It is going back next week. For another $20, we can get her a "Real" camera.I took a couple photos with the Crayola Camera and my 5 year old Nikon Coolpix S4. I have taken over 17,000 photos with the Nikon and it is beat up. The photo quality on the Nikon (6 MP) blows away the Crayola. I highly doubt you could even get a good 3x5 printed photo from the Crayola. Check out the photos I uploaded to [@]

Camera designed for small children, yet our child dropped it once from two feet and it somehow scrambled the electronics - the thing broke on the first day! Very unhappy child. Very sad parent. [...]

At first this camera didn't work well, but we figured it out. You CAN'T use cheap battery's. We used Alkaline Lithium battery's and the camera works great. We put the software on the computer I am running VISTA. The program is kinda to complicated for a toddler but with help from a parent it works fine. This is a toy and it serves it's purpose my son hasn't put it down since we gave it to him. He loves taking picture's of everything. It does wash out pictures if your too close because of the flash. But if you back up it;s fine! No problems with deleting pics or camera shutting off except when we used cheap battery's. I'm sure that happens too when the battery's are dying.

So far so good. Perfect for my 3yo. I wish it would have told us to buy a memory card with it...imagine her dismay!
