I bought this for my 2 month old, the Velcro on the top swaddle did not Velcro! She was asleep in it when I put her down, but by the time I walked from her room to mine, she was out of it completely and wide awake. On the upside, summer infant is replacing it for me under their one year warranty. I'll see how the second one works out.

Now that my newborn is big enough to fit the small size, I tried it out and it worked wonders! The first night she wore it she slept 6 1/2 hours! The trick is to put it on them when they are calm and a little bit sleepy so that they don't fight you moving their arms, etc. Make sure to undo the velcro earlier or you will definitely wake them up, and like another reviewer mentioned, make sure to close the velcro before washing it. I love the design, too!

it's a great product and takes the hassle out of swaddling; I wish I had gotten the bigger size though, because my daughter (2 months) is growing so fast that I'll need a new one soon! have to agree with closing all velcro tabs before washing - it gets stuck to things very easily.

I love the monkey design/overall look of this blanket. It pretty much does what it needs to do. The only think that maybe a challenge,and this is probably with all swaddle blankets, it waking the baby for evening changes without disturbing her. I also don't like the little bit of lace on this one. The lace it pretty, but it tends to tickle my baby's cheek teasing her for a feed when I want her to sleep.

Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend
