I started daughter on this cup at 4 months. It was the first cup i introduced.

A gentle squeaze while she took a sip and in a matter of minutes was doing it on her own. I find it easy to clean. She loves the handles. It is easy for her to hold sitting upright. Perfect height for the high chair. We use the straw take and toss a lot, but those dont have a lid for travel. I love that this one does.

She is now 12 months and still uses them. Easy for grandparents to assemble. Not the cup for the car though. Doesnt spill much if thrown, unless you let it sit for too long. My daughter mostly drinks at the high chair. Or i habd her a cup and wait for her to get a few drinks and then we put it back in the fridge.

My daughter had her last bottle the week of her 6 month check up. I have a ton of straw cups. Foogo for long outings, avent straw when we need spill proof, take and toss, and these.

All straw cups leak. Cups are not meant to lay around on the floor and spout cups that are spill proof are just a hard bottle nipple. These are awesome and i wish every one introduced these as a first cup instead of spout cups.

Also we have had the same two cups for 10 months and they work great still.

Most complaints you'll see about this cup are with the leaking issues. And yes, this cup leaks, as do most sippies if tipped enough but this one seems to stream rather than drip. But that's not my biggest issue with this cup, as I know tipping things upside down and shaking them is all a part of my little one's learning.

MY big issue with this cup is that I have to put it together (and take it apart, push the straw in further, pull it out, tip it to the side...rinse and repeat) about 5 times to ensure my son will actually be able to get something out of it. I noticed that on the second or third try, I couldn't see anything coming up the straw when he was sucking, nor could I squeeze any out like you're supposed to be able to. I can't even "slurp" (because this site thinks the word I actually should use is "potential profanity") anything out of it!! It seems like if the hard straw piece is shoved TOO far into the soft one, you can't get anything out...and if it's not in there far enough, you can't get anything out!! For a child who is learning to drink in alternative ways, this is NOT helpful; most especially for a child who hates any and all sippy cups. HUGE design flaw!

Another thing I don't like is that no matter how hard I try to align the top just right, it does NOT line up where it should and the handles are off-kilter, which makes holding onto it awkward. My son already doesn't like to hold his bottle or cups and this design flaw certainly isn't motivating him to change.

Don't waste your money on this cup.

This cup is a disaster in every sense of the word. If you're considering buying it, I have a recommendation - just throw the milk or whatever you're planning to put in it at the wall instead. That will save you the time of putting the liquid in the cup and will accomplish the same thing.
To be more specific - this thing leaks worse than a sieve. Liquid shoots out the straw if you close and reopen it, liquid shoots out if your baby shakes it (and he/she will), liquid shoots out if your baby knocks it over (and he/she will), and liquid shoots out if you heat it. Liquid will not shoot out if your baby puts the straw in her mouth though. I HATE THIS CUP.

Do I have to give it 1 star? This cup is by far the worst baby product I've ever bought. Every time I open the cup, milk quirts all over me, in my childs face, all over my clothes, the table and onto the floor.
They also leak... badly! I can set this cup down on a table, come back 5 mins later and my cup is sitting in a puddle of milk that has come up from the staw.
Don't waste your money please.

Began using this cup around 8-9 months. I think it's a great training cup b/c you can squeeze the cup on the sides to push the liquid into the straw. It also has handles which makes it easy for them to hold. BUT.. as others have said it does have a bad leaking problem. I found that pressure builds up in the straw and it will just leak while sitting on the counter. I did find though that this didn't happen when we first began using it, so it lasted as long as we needed it to. I would recommend just putting water in this cup that way if it does leak, it's not a big deal. All in all, I still think it's a good first straw cup for little ones.

These were the 1st straw cups I tried, and I've found that I like them the best. They're only 2oz smaller than regular straw cups, but my daughter drops it less because of the wonderful handles. They are by the far the easiest to wash, with a wide-mouth cup and only 3 pieces (cup, lid, straw). I take apart the straw every couple weeks to give them a thorough washing, but otherwise I just leave it as 1 piece and use a straw brush. The sliding straw cap works very well, and it's great for travel. Plus, these cups are relatively inexpensive, compared to other straw cups!

I did take off a star because they do leak. Now, I've never had a cup (or bottle, for that matter) that didn't leak in some capacity, and my daughter likes to shake her cups upside down anyway. *rolls eyes* With these, the liquid spills out of the top of the straw after the cup's been sitting unused for a while. It's annoying, but the pros definitely outweigh this inconvenience. I also wish the replacement straws for these cups were readily available.

I will definitely repurchase!

this is the worst straw cup i ever tried! i loved the idea of the handles for my daughter to hold easily but it leaks everywhere! even sitting on the table it bubbles over or when i fill it up and screw the top on if the straw is up it spits out!

My daughter would not drink from any sippy cups and she had 5 different ones. This was the first cup that she took to right away. I like how you can squeeze the liquid up the straw at first, it doesn't leak and I love that you can fold down the straw to keep it clean.

Excellent product. Handles are just right, straw is easy to sip from, mom can squeeze the cup to help baby get a drink to practice but baby cannot squeeze it. Easy to clean. Straw is short so baby can easily get a drink. Comes with a cover for the straw too. We have one for home use and an empty one in the diaper bag for outings. PERFECT CUP!! My 6 month old daughter LOVES it.

This cup is a great starter cup for independence over your child's drinking throughout their meal. You just give it a squeeze and they get the water response from their sucking! My daughter got it right away. I do not like sippy cups as they are not a developmental milestone, more a parental convenience. They teach the skill of tipping up and tipping ones head back. That is not the correct drinking motions. I don't like sippy cups for this reason. I am, however, okay with teaching a skill such as drinking from a straw. This is a skill all kids can use and this cup is a great tool for achieving that developmental milestone!

I also own a home childcare and not only does this cup teach an appropriate skill (drinking from a straw) but it also eliminates mess associated with learning!

It doesn't have a zillion difficult to clean pieces either. Just 3 easy to take apart and put together again pieces! We love it.....times 6!
