Product Description
Help ease the transition from sippy to regular cup with the OXO Tot Training Cup. A translucent lid insert with perforations around the perimeter controls the flow of liquid when your child tilts the Cup to drink. A tipped Training Cup will also spill more gradually to minimize messes during the learning process. When tot is ready, remove the perforated lid insert and the Training Cup converts to a regular Cup. Soft, non-slip grips are easy for little hands to hold and the clear Cup shows just how much is left. All OXO Tot Sippy, Straw and Training Cup lids are interchangeable.

Got this to go with the handle cup that we love, but the cup can crack if thrown hard, so this is a back up cup, and then for later when baby can do without handles as he walks about with drinks. This is the most spill proof cup around, but the child should have a strong sucking reflex like nursed babies have.

I think this is an excellent cup for a child beginning to learn how to drink from a "real" cup. The top plastic insert is helpful to stop the liquids from pouring out when the cup is tipped for drinking. But, yes, it still will come out fast if tipped quickly. I did think the holes in the insert would be a little smaller to allow a little less liquid out, however, my 19 month old does a great job with it.

i thought this new line would be better than it is. the cup looks like cheap plastic - it is lightweight though. the slow flow top is not worth it. in my opinion it barely slows the flow enough to make it useful. if the smaller holes were isolated instead of the entire lid having them then maybe it would be better (like a travel mug). i am not going to use anything but water when we use this mug since it still spills out. i expected more from oxo. hopefully the snack cup is better.

Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend

I love that this cup has eased the transition from sippies to cup with fewer spills. It is a non-breakable cup, stable base, comfortable grips and moderate flow through the training holes. I also really like the fact that my 2 year old son can use it later because the center is removeable. Very clever and unique!
