      I bought this flashlight yesterday for my 3 year old daughter. It doesn't work correctly. When you slide the switch it doesn't come on. the only feature that works is the small button you can hold down to keep it on. I think this one is defective but I plan to return it and buy something else. This one is a piece of junk!!

        Bought this for my 4 year old daughter because she is obsessed with flashlights. We got tired of going to find our flashlights and finding the batteries dead! Its a great little flashlight. Its plenty bright. Bright enough to do shadow puppets on the wall. We haven't taken it camping or anything, but it seems bright enough to be sufficient there too. The feature I particularly like is the small button on the sliding switch. If my daughter pushes the little button, the flashlight comes on without having to slide the switch. It just goes off as soon as she releases it. What I like about that is that it saves battery power. So we made a rule that if she uses it in bed, she has to use the button, not the sliding switch. So I can send her to bed with her flashlight and not have to worry about it being on all night long.

        Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
