We have had these since my son was 4 months old. He liked hearing the rattling sounds and seeing the movement when I held them. He is 10 months old now and he loves to shake them, look at the pictures and chase after them as they roll away. We practice "put in" and "take out," as well as colors with the balls. I admit I am suprised at how fun such a simple toy can be.

My 7 month old and I will roll the balls back and forth to each other, but he isn't interested in them at this time bc he can't chew on them. Also, when I purchased the balls, I assumed they would all light up, but only the yellow one does. He's only interested in the yellow ball when it lights up. Perhaps, they could make all of the balls light up when they hit each other.

Well as I said my baby loves it specially the caterpillar head with the lights. She likes smashing them together. This is a good toy for babies. They learn a lot I would say with the whole eye coordination thing and all.

Purchased for an Easter basket. Was pleasantly surprised to see the yellow ball lights up. I used so many balls for Easter and will use a few for Christmas stocking stuffer for our little one currently learning to crawl.

Comments about Manley 1001220 Baby Einstein Roller-Pillar Activity Balls:

Our little guys is in the begining stages of crawling and isn't a fan of tummy time. These roller balls are able to distract him long enough to make him want to chase them around on the groind, giving him the crawling practice he needs. I only gave it a 4 because the head ball doesn't do anything and doesn't roll well. Also, it would have been nice if one lit up or sang to keep his attention a bit longer.

Overall, we like these little caterpillar balls.

I bought this for my 3 month old daughter who is starting to grasp things. The large holes make it easy for her to grab and the little rattlers give her incentive. It is soft enough for her uncoordinated hands and so when she hits herself with it it doesn't hurt! Great product!
