The doll itself was lovely although it is very true about the hair. As long as you keep it parted a certain way you cant tell it, but the doll has a good half inch between each 'hair plug'... its looks horrible. Also we had an issue with the doll arriving late AND being the wrong doll. We ordered kelsey with the fur lined coat, but we got kelsey with the thin multicolored jacket and purse. She waited so long,so we just gave it to our daughter anyways... :/ Still better than 100 for an american girl doll though.

I bought this doll for my seven year old little girl as a Christmas present. She is the most beautiful doll I have seen in a long time. There is such great detail in the eyes and face. Her body is soft and very pose-able, darling in every way....except her hair! Unless the hair is pulled up into a pony tail, you can see to the scalp in the back and on the sides. Poor thing looks like she has hair plugs :( and to make matters worse the hair is very tangle prone and unmanageable. I could live with the tangle prone but the hair plug look...not a cute look at all.

For the price it's a cute doll. Some things to note-
Does not fit AG clothes or vice versa
Hair is very bad, but we rewigged and it's much better
Did not come in the outfit we ordered, BUT I ended up liking this one better!
Eyelashes were kind of creepy and uneven, but we gave them a trim and looks much better.
Nice cheaper alternative to more expensive dolls, but don't expect same quality.

We bought this for our 5yr old daughter for Christmas, she had picked a different doll in a catalog that was twice the price and just ugly! I found this Kelsey doll and ordered it hoping it would be alright. This doll is beautiful and came with a cute outfit that is absolutely precious. Our daughter was thrilled and can't play with her enough. Can't say anything bad really, very happy we purchased this doll and the wheelchair set too.

My daughter absolutely loves her kelsey doll the only problem we have with it is her hair. Right out of the box her hair was messed up and ratty. Also it looks as though the doll has hair plugs...just disappointed in the quality of the hair.

I orderd this doll 4 times on-line and 4 times was sent the wrong doll. There is another Journey Doll named Kelsey with jeans and a sweater and I was semt that one each time. The last two times it was sent I was assured by Toys R Us that the "bin problem" had been corrected and I would receive the right doll. Well,I received 4 dolls and none of the were the one I ordered. I seriously have doubts this particular doll even exists. If it does, I've never seen it anywhere but on-line.

I have looked in many stores for one of the 18 inch girl dolls with red hair for my great granddaughter since she is a red head. The Terre Haute store was kind enough to find one online for me from their warehouse. I am so excited and can hardly wait for Christmas to give it to her. I wanted to get her the American Girl but this is so close and she is only 3, maybe in a few years. Again, I have still not seen one of these dolls with red hair in any store. THANK YOU FOR GREAT GREAT SERVICE.

I purchased Kyla for my daughter. What a beautiful doll! My only complaint is the hair. When purchased the doll had such beautiful hair. Now her hair is frizzy and tangled and my daughter can only put it into a ponytail or pigtails.
