I purchased these after returning to work thinking I could save time by not having to wash so many bottles when I got home at night. However the bags are very hard to pour into the bottle and hard to connect the adaptor before pumping. They are also very expensive compared to generic milk storage bags. It is also extremely difficult to determine how much milk is in the bag when pumping directly into it. I now prefer to pump into bottles and then pour into my milk storage bags, I only need to use one bag per session versus two with these medela bags. I also don't like how they do not have a double zipper. I wish I would have read the reviews before I purchased these.

These were given as a gift. What a waste. They almost always leak, with the single zipper seal. The pour spout is inconvenient and it is easy to tilt it too much in a hurry and spill past the spill spout. They only store 5 oz at a time since they are so thick. When frozen and defrosted, it increases the chance of leaking. The Lansinoh ones are better but I ran out and had these on hand. The other ones have double zippers, have never leaked, I can put up to 8 oz in them with no problem, and they defrost in warm water in seconds. Medela makes a great pump but the bags are awful.

These bags are terrible. First, they cost twice as much as any other brand bag. Secondly, if you ever want to buy a second box, you are forced to buy a second set of adapters which is just wasteful. Thirdly, and most importantly, the bag is a terrible design. Sure they stand up on their own, but that's the only benefit. The plastic is really flimsy, and difficult to maneuver when attaching to the pump. Also, they only hold 5 ounces, which is ok initially, but I can store two feedings in a 6 oz bag, and this I can only store one. Which makes it ultimately even MORE expensive. Finally, the zip-top closure is extremely unreliable. I've only been using these bags for 3 days and I've already had 2 leak. It's difficult to get the bag to seal, and even when you think it is, sometimes the corners haven't latched. The generic brand I use has a double zipper to help prevent leaks which I prefer. And what's the use of an oxygen barrier when I can't pinch the air out of the bag prior to sealing without spilling? There's oxygen trapped in the bag, so the barrier isn't doing much good. Seems like a lot of useless hype to me.

So, if you want the adapters, buy the small box and a large box of generic storage bags. Then buy a small pair of scissors to cut a slit in the tops of the generic bags. They will still hang on the adapters, and will save money, save spilled milk and save your sanity.

When they work, they are great! However, they are hard to seal, and the last batch I had leaked out the bottom. Love the idea of using them, but the bags are totally unreliable.

I HATE these! I have a pump in style pump and orginally was using the bottles and pouring into some bags that someone gave me as a gift. (NOT MEDELA) and I was liking that. But then I went back to work and wanted to be able to pump right into the bag which I thought was awesome. Well it wasn't! Firstly the bags don't expand when milk goes in. I am a brand new mom, and I am getting less than 3 oz on each side. But since the bags stay flat I have no idea how much milk is in there! Also the seal is so incredibly difficult. I thought I had a good seal and I didn't and it spilt all over the inside of the freezer at work! SO embarresing and what a waste! Even when I got over the seal 3 times it sometimes is not sealed I hate it! When these 20 bags are gone I will not be buying them ever again!

I pump and then pour into the bag and the ziplock is so hard to close. You have to go over it several times to ensure a proper seal. Also, the measuring lines on the side are not a good indication of whats inside. I personally like the BabiesRUs bags that have to zip-locks and they're cheaper too. Save your money and skip these.

The bags leak and are too small, I have had the bags leak through my handy storage bag and all over the freezer in my work place twice now! embarrassing and annoying. After pumping I have tried pouring the more full bag into the lesser full bag to make them even and it always spills. Definitely don't recommend and wish I could get my money back as they are expensive!

I do not write many reviews and know how much I value the product ratings I read. I would not recommend these bags. I did not know how much I disliked them until I started to thaw frozen milk. Many of them leaked or the single zip lock did not stay fastened. Not to mention they are so overpriced. I would have expected a better product from Medela, one of major breast pump makers. I would highly recommend a double fastened bag. I have been pleased with Simplese bags and I know there are others similar.

I like all but two things. They are small and inaccurate with ounces ny 1-2 ounces even and they are super hard to pour! Seriously I almost always spill some bc the top flaps get in the way. I guess I could try cutting them but for the price they should really fix that problem in my opinion. Buy Ameda over these or Nuk.

THird child I am breastfeeding. Loved these bags for the first two, then they changed the design.

I have ripped more bags than I would care to admit. I have forgotten the attachments when I go to work and have had to awkwardly hold the bags as not to spill any of the expressing milk.

The idea behind the design is great, but I do not know if they tested this before implementing.

Use bottles or another brand. I used bottles and poured it into the bags until I was finished with them (causing me to have more to wash)

One pro (which is why I gave them two stars) is that they stay well in the freezer and I feel secure the milk will not leak or spoil in the freezer.
